This is my final revision- promise! We returned this weekend since they agreed to take some of our surplus tiles back. There was a restocking fee as well. The only thing that bothers me now is that they couldn't take back everybody of of tiles because some were broken. Now, I know it's the buyer's responsibility but I didn't think to sit there and go through every single box to make sure that my tiles were not broken. I'm assuming this happens a lot. My contractor sure didn't sift through each box. And I don't expect him to. But this just goes along with what I've learned. A remodel is a lengthy and tedious process. Depending on how anal you are, keep annoying your contractor if you want things to turn out the way you pictured it in your head. Especially if it's for your house, or your own business too. Then again, no remodel story is perfect. So here's four stars. It's better than three. read more

We visited the showplace in November 2022 after being referred there by a relative. There were many styles and a wide range of pricing. Our point of contact was Christy Z and in the beginning, she was communicative, detailed, and professional throughout of design and purchase. Once the cabinet sale was made ($5,500) we received notice of a 4-6 week delay in our order arrival and our cabinets later arrived with 2-3 small, but very visible blemishes (dents) in the cabinetry. Our cabinets were assembled and transported by the NGY group contractors then finally received and transferred home by us for installation in February 2023. As soon as we mounted the cabinets we noticed the damages and let Christy know. We sent several photos to Christy by text and she kept asking for additional images until we finally got fed up and frustrated enough and gave up. Initially, Christy offered a free dummy cabinet door to conceal the damages, and after speaking with the "sales manager" Christy tried billing us for it - insinuating that the damage must've been done by us. They blamed us for the damage caused by their contractors. There was no accountability, apology, or follow-up ever done. There are MANY other local and surrounding cabinet distributors with equally competitive prices to consult with. I caution you against using NGY and would highly suggest shopping around. I will not recommend this company to others. read more

Our kitchen cabinets came out great, the countertop was flawless, and they were FAST. In fact they were able to do the job faster and more affordably than any of the MANY other shops that gave us quotes. That made us a little skeptical, but it was the price we needed to commit. But they were great, and we couldn't be more pleased with how our kitchen turned out. read more

Updates from 12/24: I could finally reach Owner Alfred, after a couple of calls to the San Leandro store and even though he listened and explained that there is a long gap (since purchase) but I couldn't believe that he tried to sell me a new one and give a 10% discount, something contractors get year around!! The basis was time lapse and customers are supposed to check every part! Yes, we understand but selling damaged goods knowingly is absurd and should be a lesson to business.. The store sales rep, Pinky/Dinky or whatever is quite impatient on the phone to hear out the question and took a day+ to get the contacts / details but I might agree with a few yelpers / reviews that the in-store "sales" experience is quite OK and honestly, that is what made me buy compared to other stores such as Sincere, KB Kitchens OR Uni Tile etc). read more

What a horrible place to deal with. Pinky kept insisting that I take the boxes of tiles to my house from her warehouse, and I insisted otherwise. I went to her warehouse to check each and every box of tiles for cracks, and most boxes had cracked tiles. We stood arguing for ten minutes and eventually I got my money back and went elsewhere. Her installer, Sam, did a horrible job installing my floor tiles in my kitchen. The tiles are uneven and he had to come back at my insistence to redo some of the grouting because it had cracked. Guess what? It cracked again. He is no professional. I recommended NGY to my aunt for her kitchen but told her to ask for Sonny to do the install. She didn't get Sonny and now her kitchen is 9" narrower and a piece of her crown moulding doesn't match. NGY is a terrible place. They just want your money and they don't care about their workmanship. NEVER AGAIN NGY. read more

They have good selection of granite and cabinets. Pinky is one big lair that works there. She said if the cabinets doesn't fit or something, they will take it back long as it was not installed. When cabinet was bigger then expected, she refused to take the cabinet back. Pinky said she never said that to take cabinet back. She lies to customers to sell product. I have had 6 kitchens done by NGY. Everything from high end houses to low end houses. Each one came out great. I will continue to do business with them as long as I can keep finding places to remodel. Cabinets are of a lot higher quality then your average imported premade cabinet. Pinky is awesome! We searched a bunch of places before we settled on NGY. The price point was where it needed to be for our project, the quality was good (not fantastic, but we knew that our wasn't going to be given what our budget was) and the service from the sales person (Bin) was good. We ordered, and they delivered on time as promised. Everything was good. no scratches (which I was most worried about) and no damage to any cabinet. Given the overall experience and the their friendly sales, they get 4 stars. They would have gotten 5 if they would have delivered the cabinets, too! read more

Update, they called to let me know my cabinets were built three days early so that was great news. But still no flexibility in any errors post signing off on your items. I had to order more filler strips, more counter backsplash and more tile to match what I already purchased. No specific discounts given, paid more than I did the first time, seems they raised their prices, I get that but I've now invested a ton of money, close to $20K for counters and cabinets and there was no accommodation at all. I prefer to shop some where that will work with me and value me as a customer. NGY seems they could care less. My latest sales person was as helpful as she could be but almost in tears at one point about her inability to be flexible given all the issues I've had with my order, kitchen design changes etc. that kept forcing me to spend more money with them so my kitchen matched. The sales and design staff must be under extreme pressure. I will not take my business back to them ever. I'd rather go to another place that will work with you for the same prices and quality. I have no problem with quality just with inflexibility policies that put margins over happy customers. read more
