I can't recommend Style Bath & Kitchen enough. We were building a new bathroom from scratch and were completely overwhelmed by how to select and coordinate style/color for all of the elements in the room. I called a couple of interior designers and after being quoted exorbitant estimates for assisting with design decisions, we just headed here. Gretchen met with us and asked for a little direction on what styles we liked and what features we wanted in the bathroom, and what our budget was. She then narrowed down each decision to about 3 options for us based on what we were looking for. As someone easily overwhelmed by too many options, this was a lifesaver. She laid out our selected samples of flooring, shower tiles, and counter materials so we could see how it all looked together. The selection of materials at Style Bath & Kitchen is vast and varied and gorgeous! She was SO patient without our constant questions and emails about details. Our almost-finished bathroom is more beautiful than we could have imagined, and there's no way we could have done it without Gretchen and SBK! We used SBK for a bathroom remodel back in 2016. Fantastic experience with their design person, who managed to keep track of the many moving parts involved with going down to the studs and starting over on a bathroom. Great design ideas which saved me from making big mistakes for the tub and shower. Just recently we used SBK for replacing the kitchen floor tile. Mike is sooooo easy to work with and special ordered two samples for us so we could see a full sized tile instead of just the tiny square on a board. We needed to pick accent tiles, and rather than trying to sell us something they carry, he referred us to a business down the street which had a huge stock of fancy design tiles that were perfect for an accent. We were turned on to Style Bath by a contractor we interviewed in the city. We didn't use the contractor but we are extremely grateful for the tip on Style Bath. The owners, Mike & Gretchen, were fabulous and very easy to work with on our project. We had never done a bathroom remodel and Style Bath guided us every step of the way. Gretchen drove to our place in SF to measure our tiny bathroom and reviewed the pages of design styles that I had torn out of magazines. A few days later we met her at the showroom where she pulled together tiles, baseboards, sinks, faucets, etc...and...guess what?...she nailed the design right off the bat. I was anticipating a big *discussion* with hubby but we both loved the proposed design and color scheme. Within 90 minutes, we pretty much had everything decided and signed the order agreement. You pay as things are delivered which helped. After the discount, their prices are pretty competitive with what you'd find online plus Style Bath will track the order on your behalf and inspect the merchandise which is a convenience factor worth the extra cost. They were terrific with delivering items as needed to help keep our remodel on track. The only things that would have made things easier is if Gretchen had used a CAD system or similar to create the bathroom design. She works in pencil so any changes (and we made 3 revisions) have to be done by hand which is time consuming and can cause delays if she's busy. Second, it would have been helpful to have the delivery times next to each item ordered. Anytime my contractor (see Bonev Construction) asked for item status, I had to pick up the phone and call. It also caused one item to be overlooked when it was back-ordered. Thankfully, it was delivered the day before it was needed so it didn't cause any problems. Even if you're not considering a full remodel, it's a great place to go to see those high end lines from design magazines. read more

There is going the extra mile and then there is going the extra 100 miles. Gretchen designed our new kitchen and master bath and knocked both out of the park. To that end, she was also incredibly easy to work with and has the best communication skills out of anyone we've worked with, home renovations or otherwise. The showroom is pretty awesome and all of their products are exquisite. I purchased a Hansgrohe kitchen faucet and had to have the nozzle replaced twice due to two separate defects (manufacturer's fault). Mike and his team were absolutely​ wonderful. They contacted the manufacturer for me and had the part replaced without any hassle or additional costs. The products are pricey but it's worth it knowing they will help you out if anything happens. My wife found this company on the web a couple of years ago. We were redoing our 1/2 bath and had gone to at least (5) bathroom fixture stores not counting the big box ones. With all the shops we went to we just could not find the "right" faucet. When we went into this store we immediately saw several models no one else carried including one we really liked. My wife talked to the girl that works here and it sounded like they do a good job keeping up with all the new styles. This was a good 4 star experience. This year we had a pipe burst in our home in the Oakland hills. We were looking around for a company to work with on design and we again stumbled across this company. When we first walked into their shop we had no idea what our bathrooms were going to look like. They helped us with design, tile, cabinets, counter tops, fixtures, and they even had some contractor recommendations. We changed our minds on several things several times and they were always very patient and helpful. Since I did the design on all three, I expected it to be hard to find an outfit that would help me choose the materials I wanted and not second guess my choices. If I could give this company 10 stars I would! The sales staff and design staff are extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. The showroom is amazing. Quality products that you just won't find elsewhere. If you look at the products on display in their showroom and then compare what you find with, say, Home Depot you will see what I'm talking about. I can't speak for their install staff as I had my own contractor for my bathroom remodel. I also can't speak for their post sale support but my guess is that I won't have to find out. We worked with Gretchen Ferreira at Style Bath and Kitchen to plan our kitchen remodel. She came to the house to see the old kitchen and take measurements then laid out a few different design ideas. With our input, she created a detailed plan which became the blueprint for our contractor. The price was very reasonable. She is incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, non-judgmental and creative, with a great sense of style. We bought some materials through her shop (cabinets, countertops, sink, backsplash tile) and others from outside sources, and there was no pressure to get everything from her. There were some imperfections in a couple of the cabinet doors and she responded immediately to made sure that these were replaced. We are very happy with our kitchen and our experience with Style Bath and Kitchen! We ordered a vanity, the time frame that was relayed to us was 6 weeks. The actual time was over 9 weeks. The contractor was waiting to complete our bathroom due to the incorrect information from style bath. Had they given us the correct amount of time it was going to take to deliver our vanity then we could have worked with the contractor so we weren't without a bathroom for an additional 3 weeks. That's difficult when you have little kids, a week maybe but almost a month?? read more

My wife found Style Kitchen and Bath to design our bathroom remodel and handle ordering all the materials. Gretchen did a wonderful job measuring our space and coming up with a design to suit our tastes. She worked with us on picking tile and fixtures. Even after we ordered everything her and Mike were wonderful to deal with and did a good job keeping track of all the orders. They have been very supportive anytime any sort of issue has come up long after our project was completed. The only comment I have is that Gretchen does her designs on paper and there may be a little lead time required for changes, but there was nothing that causes us any delay. I just completed a major bathroom remodel and Heather helped me select all of the fixtures - sinks, faucets, showerhead, toilet, medicine cabinets, and towel bars.
