    I tried hard not to write this review. We wanted to support a local business, Homewise had the best…read morewarranty and did price matching, and some of our issues stemmed from problems with our building that were no one's fault. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt -- and we tried to, directly. But after multiple miscommunications, I made repeated attempts to share this feedback with Homewise privately. The review link they sent expired within a week, before I'd even been able to get answers about what went wrong. I called multiple times, emailed twice to customer relations, and never received a single response. So here we are. Our experience with Homewise spanned three weeks and three installation attempts, and while there were serious communication issues along the way, it was ultimately saved by one exceptional team member. Felipe (Team Verdugo) deserves every star we can give. He was kind, courteous, and went above and beyond at every turn -- including showing up on his own time late on a Saturday night to finally get our unit properly installed. Out of the 10+ people we interacted with across visits and phone calls, he stood out as the most skilled and most genuine. He is the reason the number of stars is not lower, and frankly the reason we'd consider using Homewise again. That said, the communication throughout this process was a consistent problem. Several complications -- corroded valves, an old unit that was poorly installed by previous owners -- were nobody's fault, and we appreciated the team working with us through those. But the miscommunications were frustrating and avoidable. Specifically: The first installer told us a new drip pan was optional and that he could install it for us; the second said it was required. Had we known from the start, we'd have handled it alongside the valve repairs. When scheduling the second visit, we asked about the drip pan and were promised the original installation team -- the salesperson confirmed this (and we later learned this is standard practice) -- but a different team showed up with no warning and without the right capabilities. We were then promised that same original team for the third visit, and again a different crew arrived uninformed about the drip pan situation. Felipe was on that team and was very helpful, but the main person did not wish to help with the drip pan installation, and had we not asked, would likely have put it down without properly installing the drain without telling us. A manager committed to having the original team return that same evening to finish the job. 6pm came and went with no call, no update, and no explanation. We want to be clear: we understand things happen, teams get reassigned, and not everything goes to plan. What's hard is being told something definitive, building your day around it, and then having it fall through -- repeatedly, and without anyone letting you know. Finally, getting answers afterward was harder than it should have been. After everything was resolved, we called to understand what had happened. We left multiple voicemails with no response, and it took several attempts before we finally reached someone who could walk us through the history. We appreciated that she took the time -- but that clarity shouldn't have required so much chasing. We chose Homewise because we want to support local businesses, and the warranty was the best we found. We would likely choose Homewise again for those reasons. But we hope this feedback helps improve the experience for the next customer -- because the product and the warranty are great, and with stronger internal communication, the service could be too.

Contacted Thermador and they came twice for repair, however it's unrepairable and in order to exchange, I must provide a receipt. When I asked Soufinane for a receipt, he said the his receipt not work for exchange, of course he won't tell you this before purchase. And he didn't provide another HELP for selling defective products, pushing you to the Manufacturer was the only thing he did for me. ---UPDATE---: Re Soufiane C.: "It is important to hire the right contractor to install the unit and not someone, who will break it in the process and blames it on the unit or the tools." The contractor installed the unit is a CA licensed contractor, and Thermador's technician came twice for the repairing, and told me it's unrepairable even they replaced a brand new board. It's definitely a defectives. From above comment from the business owner, you would find he would use all kinds of excuses to "prove" he has absolutely no business with the defectives he sold. He never provide me a store receipt for the sale, and claimed he is a craigslist seller and sold things as-is. (hmm, why you have a physical store in Oakland, should you obey the local retail laws to provide a receipt at least)?

    I found this appliance quick warehouse online, searching for a locally owned business for me to…read moresupport. Who knew that I meet such an amazing guy. Howard, who I believe is the owner was great!! Not only did he fix my washing machine. He was very honest in doing so although it wasn't anything major, just something had clogged the drain pipe. I had no idea what was wrong with the washing machine. He could have told me anything and charged me an outlandish price based on the fact that I had no knowledge of the repair or the repair cost. he was so honest and gave me a great price. He was fast and didn't leave a mess or water all over my floor. I was so impressed that I also asked him to take a look at my dryer which also just needed something very minor that he offered to fix for pennies. I made an appointment with him on my next off day. Which by the way was a Sunday he was on time, he was fast, he cleaned up behind himself and he was very reasonably priced. He is very ethical and I'd recommend him to anyone. I should have done this review directly after he did the work, but I've just been so busy. I don't do a lot of reviews, although I patronize a lot of businesses in the Bay Area, but I was so impressed with Howard that I had to stop what I was doing to let anyone who is reading this know you will not be disappointed if you hire him.
