Something to note about my mother is that she's always looking for the best deal, whereas I prefer a one stop shop. Kyle arrived and trouble shot the problem and determined that the motherboard died. New one ordered. Kyle installed the new board... NO JOY IN MUDVILLE!! Checking... rechecking.... My Maytag Legacy washer is a prized possession of mine - its from the year 2008 and its a priceless family heirloom passed down from my aunt. Now at nearly 20 years old it finally sprung a tiny leak. I love this washer as its the last of its kind. Its top load and it has a traditional two way agitator and it allows for warm water rinses and TRUE hot water washes. For years I ran it beside my Maytag front loader depending on what I wanted to wash. I don't want to get into some top load front load debate - they are both great and I like to have both in my laundry room - throw in a third tiny washing machine - a Sidekick with wash plate action for jeans or delicates and your in business. With help of my kitty Mr Moose I installed this water pump in maybe 10 minutes. I tilted the washer up at a 45 degree angle, snapped out the two clamps and then with pliers - the only tool I needed removed the two spring clamps from the two hoses. That is why old washers are so popular. No computers, no nonsense. Just a mechanical timer that lasts for generations and no extras. Little children rejoice - wonderful inheritance awaits you. I'd love a beautiful blue/teal pair washer gas dryer by Maytag from the 60s - some appliance rebuilders sell these things for thousands - I just might go for it one day. If your all of a sudden interested in old technology washers - look out for speed queen and Maytag commercial - from my research they are the best you can get today in terms of longevity.

But the quick jump to conclusions without taking a second look didn't sit well with me. I ended up calling another technician who was able to diagnose and fix the problem. Overall, a good first impression, but the follow-up and customer service after the visit were lacking.

This started after I was cleaning and my drip tray got caught on some wiring. After a 10-minute consultation, Vissal asked for the model number and once found, could set up the appointment. The next day I realized that even though I've had my Viking range 15 years (no longer under warranty) that it would be best to contact an Authorized Viking Repair company - I was referred to a company in San Jose. I texted Vissal that I was going another route and he quickly responded no problem. Friendly and professional customer service and thanks to Vissal for taking the time to work with me! Top Tier was recommended by CBD the vendor I purchased a new washer and dryer from on 3/6/26. They…read moreinstalled the dryer where the washer connection was located and the washer where the dryer vent was so both appliances were 8" off the wall because of 6' long dryer vent hose. They started the dryer and it sounded like a cement mixer. They tried to fix it and could not and asked me if we had a toilet plunger!! Which apparently they were going to suction to the back of the drum to put in back in place. They could not fix the dryer and blamed it on Electrolux. Electrolux rep was called and said it was obviously damaged when they unloaded it from their truck so there was no warranty. When the Electrolux rep showed up he opened our laundry room door and it had a very strong smell of natural gas, it was discovered that in addition to damaging the dryer, installing them in the wrong pace they also put me and my family at risk. There is more, when they wheeled the washer on a dolly through our back door they broke a $615 Phantom Screen Door. Also, I had to pay a reputable appliance installer $400 to come and install the appliances correctly. I reached out to the owner of Top Tier and to go easy on him I asked that the $350 fee they that he billed to my Visa be refunded and if he would pay for the screen door, we would call it good. I absorbed the inconvenience for weeks and the $400 fee to do the install the appliance correctly. The Top Tier owner seems like a very nice guy on the phone and accepted my suggested settlement offer. For the last 5 weeks each time i call him he promises "my wife will drop it off next Tuesday", "I will drop it off personally Friday afternoon", "I will have my secretary send the check out tomorrow". CBD the appliance dealer will never recommend him again, I have disputed my Visa charge, I was going to report him the State Contractors License Board but as it turns out, he has no license. Monday I am filing a Small Claims suit against him for ALL of the charges. I am 80 years old and this guy took advantage of me and my wife and could have cost us our lives with the faulty gas connection. He is deceptive, a liar and flat out dangerous.

Stock is always changing, so you never know what you might find! And if not exactly what you're looking for, try again the next week! I can't say enough about how great Jerry is. He listened to all of my wants (and complaints about the dryer my landlord supplied that was leaking gas). He really knows his stuff! He could tell what was wrong with the old one, but it would cost more than even a new dryer to replace the part! He can also do repairs! We went to the store in the afternoon and had the installation the next morning!! He delivered from Hayward to Oakland, up a five-step walk-up porch, did full installation (supplying the tape), and took away the old one!!! All by himself! I had removed the bathroom and laundry room doors to fit the machines through and he even offered to put the doors back for me!! The dryer started making a noise the second time I used it and he came out the next day and fixed it (it was an easy alignment fix). No fuss!
