Something to note about my mother is that she's always looking for the best deal, whereas I prefer a one stop shop. Stock is always changing, so you never know what you might find! And if not exactly what you're looking for, try again the next week! I can't say enough about how great Jerry is. He listened to all of my wants (and complaints about the dryer my landlord supplied that was leaking gas). He really knows his stuff! He could tell what was wrong with the old one, but it would cost more than even a new dryer to replace the part! He can also do repairs! We went to the store in the afternoon and had the installation the next morning!! He delivered from Hayward to Oakland, up a five-step walk-up porch, did full installation (supplying the tape), and took away the old one!!! All by himself! I had removed the bathroom and laundry room doors to fit the machines through and he even offered to put the doors back for me!! The dryer started making a noise the second time I used it and he came out the next day and fixed it (it was an easy alignment fix). No fuss! Perseverance!!! Word of the day…read more Contacted Kyle of Jebs Appliance when our four year old Whirlpool Dishwasher ceased to function properly. Kyle arrived and trouble shot the problem and determined that the motherboard died. New one ordered. Kyle installed the new board... NO JOY IN MUDVILLE!! Checking... rechecking.... Finally he determined what caused the issue was a double fault. A short on the main power input caused the mother board to fail. All is good.... Thanks to perseverance!! Well done Kyle.

My Maytag Legacy washer is a prized possession of mine - its from the year 2008 and its a priceless family heirloom passed down from my aunt. Now at nearly 20 years old it finally sprung a tiny leak. I love this washer as its the last of its kind. Its top load and it has a traditional two way agitator and it allows for warm water rinses and TRUE hot water washes. For years I ran it beside my Maytag front loader depending on what I wanted to wash. I don't want to get into some top load front load debate - they are both great and I like to have both in my laundry room - throw in a third tiny washing machine - a Sidekick with wash plate action for jeans or delicates and your in business. With help of my kitty Mr Moose I installed this water pump in maybe 10 minutes. I tilted the washer up at a 45 degree angle, snapped out the two clamps and then with pliers - the only tool I needed removed the two spring clamps from the two hoses. That is why old washers are so popular. No computers, no nonsense. Just a mechanical timer that lasts for generations and no extras. Little children rejoice - wonderful inheritance awaits you. I'd love a beautiful blue/teal pair washer gas dryer by Maytag from the 60s - some appliance rebuilders sell these things for thousands - I just might go for it one day. If your all of a sudden interested in old technology washers - look out for speed queen and Maytag commercial - from my research they are the best you can get today in terms of longevity.

I live alone and rarely cook, so I didn't use the dishwasher again until I hosted a party that weekend. It seemed to run fine, but the next morning, when I was unloading the dishes, I discovered that it had flooded and would no longer turn on. I contacted Airport Home Appliance, and they referred me to GE Appliances. GE scheduled a service appointment, then later rescheduled it. When I called to ask why, they told me they were waiting for parts to arrive. I was confused as to how they could determine what parts were needed without first inspecting the dishwasher. They explained that this is a common issue with this particular model. Concerned about keeping a brand-new dishwasher with a known issue, I contacted Airport Home Appliance again and requested a return so I could exchange it for a different brand. However, I was told that the 48-hour return window had passed, so I could no longer return it and would need to wait for GE to repair it. They also said that if GE is able to fix it, I would not be allowed to exchange it for another model. I'm extremely frustrated by being passed back and forth between the retailer and manufacturer while I'm left without a working dishwasher after spending $1,500 on a brand-new appliance. I'm simply asking for a fair resolution.
