After exploring several new dryer appliance store options I chose Antone's. A local small store which has been in business many years. Their inventory is not huge, but I found just what I was looking for. And Comparing prices - most big box stores charge extra for delivery, removing old dryer, hook-up equipment, etc - Antone's price was totally competitive. They include everything in one price. Robert arrived on time, and working alone removed my old dryer, got the new one up and running. He was polite and very helpful. I definitely would recommend Antone's. And I like supporting small, local businesses. read more

Robert has helped me installing a used dryer and again when my Kenmore washer was having an issue. He got the part within a day and had it repaired in a jiffy. He knows his stuff. read more

Fantastic service. Prompt. Fixed a broken part on old washing machine. Total $175. Robert was excellent. Would use again in a heartbeat.

They are experienced straightforward, on time, all around excellent. He repaired my dryer for a very reasonable price.

Gave my 30 year old Maytag washer a thorough going over. Found the problem a previous repair person overlooked. Saved me money so I didn't need to buy a part that wasn't needed. I will use Mr. Antone as my first choice for appliance repair from now on. Thanks again! read more

A quick response, professional help, my problem was solved. I have used this business several times and they are always great. If they cannot help you because you have an appliance they do not work on, for example, they will make a recommendation. They provide service above and beyond. read more

Our Whirlpool washing machine broke down. I managed through some YouTube videos to press some buttons and get an error code. I called a guy who'd fixed our dryer once. He said it was a little out of his league and recommended someone with more experience in that line. And that guy recommended Bob as the expert. Which he was. When I told him the error code he knew just what to order and replace and came over and did it quickly. Very reasonably priced too. read more

Twice we've gotten great service, first on a new Maytag washer that has been absolutely amazing and later on a repair for our Kenmore dryer. We got great prices & excellent advice both times. When our washer broke, it was so old it just wasn't worth repairing. I'm so glad we found Antone's Appliance instead of heading straight for one of the big box stores. We got a great deal on a new washer that's not only more efficient but at least twice the size of our old one. When our dryer stopped running we knew just who to call, but this time it was a quick and easy fix. I think it's important to support local businesses, in addition to the relationships you build you pump money back into your local economy. Then when you need repairs, you know you'll get consistently great service and deals from someone you trust. read more

Antone is a busy guy and that's the kind of business you'd want to support because clearly he's doing a great job to have as many customers as he does! After leaving a few frantic voicemails for him, he was able to return my call. The first thing he did was apologize for how busy he was. During the entire call he was extremely polite, patient, and understanding. I explained to him the issue I was having with my washer and he was able to diagnose the issue over the phone. After some searching, he gave me a rough price of the parts plus labor and then we discussed whether or not we should move forward. As I recently purchased the property and inherited the appliances within it, Antone explained to me how he's been there 3 times in the past already to service both the washer and dryer. At that point, with the money the previous owner already invested into repairs, it was clear my appliances were on their last legs and it would be a better investment to purchase brand new. I concurred with Antone and we decided not to move forward with an appointment. From the conversation I had with him, Antone is the quintessential honest business man who lets his work speak for itself. I will be saving his contact info for the future. read more

Robert took over the family business. He is a caring, patient and professional. I wish him the best, especially with his current personal affairs. I highly recommend Robert for all appliance needs. I would recommend to be patient in the contact channels because I believe he is a one person operation, does not have a front office/customer support co-worker. read more

Once again, wonderful Robert saved the day by replacing a Maytag washer part. He is very professional, polite and non-judgemental. The ring around the front inside of the Maytag washer harbored mildew from residual moisture and its closed front loading door. No amount of scrubbing got rid of it. Robert says all front loaders need to be put on the "cleaning cycle" with the proper powder or tablets (need more than you think) once a month. Who knew? He has a new website: allthingslaundry.com with 70 American and Canadian products listed; can't wait to order two or three. Thank you Robert. You are an old school gem! read more

I forget how we found Robert; I'm sure he was recommended by a friend. He repaired our dryer first. He was prompt, professional, and very reasonable in price. After a period of time, the dryer gave up the ghost and was basically unfixable. We bought a new one from him. Again, prompt and professional service. I am happy to recommend him to you. read more

The combination of quick response, product knowledge and fair pricing for services and purchases cannot be beat. Absolutely the best. read more

I usually write long reviews but on this one I do not want to lose emphasis of the quality of work and product Antone's Appliance provides. As a small business, his responsiveness and attention far out-weigh these BIG BOX stores who care little about the consumer from the initial sales to the install. In fact, I dread going to these stores (who shall go nameless). From the time I placed the call to delivery was less than a week. The whole process was flawless. And he is a great guy, who operates his business with integrity and honesty. You also appreciate the opportunity to know that your dollars are supporting small businesses of the caliber of Antone's Appliance. Although he does not have a wide selection, that worked fine for me. I did my due diligence beforehand and found a dryer (Maytag to match my washer) that his store sells. And I am a happy camper. I also know that if I have a question, he is but a phone call away ! If you can, please support this Company. You will not be disappointed. read more

It is hard to find a reputable and trustworthy appliance repair person these days. Many of those on the web are complete scams and often try to pretend they are factory authorized when they are not. Robert Antone has been providing us with equipment and service for over 20 years and I always can trust what he tells us. He does not upsell or tell you that a repair is needed if it is not. He has even helped us diagnose problems on the telephone. Hopefully, this review does not make him busier than he already is and make him too busy to respond to all who call him, but he really is excellent. read more

Robert did fabulous work. I'm so grateful to have found him. He has such a long honed knowledge from experience that he figured out what was wrong with my clothes washer in moments. He had the part already because I'd explained to him what was happening and he was right. He was kind and gave great explanations. read more

The very kind of service everyone hopes to get on Yelp. He was on time, personable (actually very likable), and he did the work quickly at a reasonable rate. I will certainly go back to him. read more

Don't write reviews often, but in an industry where it feels harder and harder to find honest and fair service, was very satisfied start to finish with the process with Robert of Antone's Appliance. Call back was quick, and he was able to make an appointment the next day to help with multiple appliances that needed service. He arrived within the estimated service window and got right to work on evaluating the issue. Made a point to describe everything that he found and how to fix, and had the needed parts available to repair on the spot. Fair rates and reliable service. Exactly what we need more of. Thank you Robert. read more

Robert is a true professional, with knowledge of appliances and an old-school courtesy. He helped me do a repair of my washing machine in the past, and for a different repair, walked me over the phone for a simple fix I could do myself. Very highly recommended read more

I called one of their competitors based on Yelp reviews, but they were too busy to help us. But they referred us to Antone's. Robert from Antone's came over a couple of days later to fix our 35 year old Maytag washer. My suspicion that debris from the old shag bath rug that the cat sleeps on clogged up the washer turned out to be correct. Robert fixed it in a hurry. I had earlier noticed on You Tube how to do this, but I was happy to have a trained professional diagnose and fix the problem instead of me trying to screw it all up based on a You Tube video. Not only did Robert quickly fix the clog, he even re-adjusted the folding laundry closet door and put in a new washer pulley belt and new vent hose for my dryer. I feel good about my washing machine again. read more

My washer hasn't been spinning the clothes dry and leaving a puddle at the bottom of the washer so I decided to give Antone's Appliance a call. They've been coming to our place for repairs on my washer or dryer for years since 1998! Robert is very thorough and honest. Unfortunately, even though he tried to replace a part and see if he could get the washer spinning, it didn't work and so he told me that it was time to get a new washer because even if we replaced other parts of the washer, it would be rather expensive. So I looked online for new washers while he was finishing up and found out that they also sell Maytag washers and Robert has gone high tech and checked online on his tablet that they had the machine I was interested in stock. He quoted me a price which included delivery, installation as well as removing the old machine. However, dude told me by text that he found the price lower elsewhere so we didn't get the machine from Antone's although we wanted to buy it from them. read more

I called these guys to help with my beloved 35 year old Matag stacking washer & dryer. This was a second opinion because of my desperation when my go-to guy couldn't find the answer. Robert called me - a stranger- back, spent lots of time on the phone with me, and used his expertise to determine I need electrical, not appliance, help. What a mensch! I think he is a keeper. read more

Very professional - came in, knew what was wrong with the Neptune Washer right away, could have fixed it immediately but didn't have the motor on his truck that he always has 2-3 of (this I attribute to my stellarly bad luck I've been having with home appliances and cars lately). But came the next day when he said he would, only charged me for one service call, and was in and out in minutes. read more

Great communication! Fixed my washer at a very fair price. I would definitely recommend.

Very knowledgable. They clearly know the appliance ins and outs and can talk about the issue. He quickly diagnosed our unit and fixed it same day. Would highly recommend them as their pricing is fair too. Hard to find reliable and honest companies nowadays - definitely will be giving them a call if other issues arise. read more

Very helpful. Owner called in response to my detailed description of the problem with my clothes washer. He told me how to address it without a service call. Definitely will return when I have a problem. Thank you. read more

Robert always saves the day, and has been fixing our appliances, laundry machines & dishwasher, since we bought our house 11 years ago. He's quick, thorough, knows what he's doing, professional, and prices are very reasonable. We've certainly never had a bill over $200, usually running around $100-150. They can usually come in the next week. Love that his family has been running the business for decades, they are an Oakland gem, and Robert is also a Skyline High graduate! read more

Responds promptly; efficient, friendly service. I recommend him if you need a dishwasher installation or repair.

Robert came and assessed our lemon of a washer purchased from Best Buy and laid out our options for fixing it. We decided to buy a new Maytag instead and he had it to us quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Antone's! read more

I have purchased a clothes washer/dryer and a dish washer from Rob. His service is outstanding--returns calls promptly, keeps excellent records of my purchases and repairs he makes, extremely knowledgeable about the products, can solve problems over the phone without a visit to my home. If I need a new machine in the future, I would definitely buy from Rob. read more

I highly recommend using these services! I was having an issue with my washer, so I called and left a msg to ask about setting up a time to come out and service my appliance and to get a quote for labor. Robert called me back that day and after speaking for only a few minutes and me describing the issue, he gave his thoughts of what the possible issue was and what could be done to fix it. Robert was obviously extremely knowledgeable, and more than willing to offer his expertise. As it turns out with his suggestion, and a simple replacement part that I was able to perform on my own, my washer problem was fixed! His expertise was impressive. Thank you so much Robert!!! In the future, I'll absolutely be calling back for my appliance issues, especially with more technical issues when I'll actually need him to come out and perform the maintenance himself! Thanks again! read more

Extremely professional and courteous. Highly recommended. I had a draining problem with my Maytag. I called Antone's. The gentleman I spoke with suggested that I find the drain or cancel command and that would fix it. I did so, and that worked. Even still, they were ready to come onsite to assist, very promptly. They have earned my future business. read more

A couple of things to note: - Antone's is busy and you probably have to wait 5 or more business days to get an appointment. If you have an urgent repair, you are better off calling someone who may charge more but can come sooner. - Also, Robert's elderly mother answers his calls and schedules his appointments, and she can be difficult. That said, Robert himself is incredibly knowledgeable about appliances, conscientious and very pleasant. You can tell he genuinely is interested in what he does and always seems to be thinking about how to improve things. If you don't have an urgent repair, it's well worth waiting to book him for your appliance repairs. read more

The touchpad on my KitchenAid dishwasher fried, and I started making the usual calls, including one to KitchenAid. (They in turn referred me to a couple of stiffs, but that's another story.) One of the calls went to Robert at Antone's. My luck. Exactly the right guy. Could he repair the KitchenAid? No; the touchpad is no longer available anywhere. Could he replace the dishwasher? Yes. He had a Maytag in stock. Was his price for the installation comparable to the big box stores? Yes, and he would remove and recycle the old dishwasher as part of the deal. Could he come by in three days? Yes. Then he did exactly what he said he would do. Taciturn, soft-spoken, honorable, direct, efficient. A throwback. A straightforward craftsman. If he read this, he would probably dismiss it or change the subject. But from a customer's perspective, he is precisely the right guy for the job. read more

We had a phenomenal experience with Antone's Appliance. As anyone reading this has figured out by now...these modern washers and dryers break easily and often and it's a good thing we have true specialists like Robert to get things back on track. He might be busy but well worth the wait if you are able. I've used others that were less busy and learned they aren't busy for a reason :) read more

Wow! Terrible phone service! I called to inquire about a washer/dryer purchase. I provided the lady with the model number & she said she would call me right back with a price. After not hearing back for a couple of hours I called back & she said she would have to talk to someone & get back to me but she didnt know when that would be. She was incredibly rude & asked if I was a long time customer because she didnt have time to deal with my questions. I responded that I hadent been & probably would not be given her rude tone with me. She said, well, I'm sorry but I'm busy & goodbye. AND HUNG UP ON ME!!!Too bad for Robert the owner or whoever is trying to run this place because their phone person is ridicilous & unacceptable!! I'm surprised they are still in business given the attitude!! read more

Robert fixed our first-generation Maytag Neptune washer quickly and without any need to wait for parts. Antone's is a Maytag dealer and Robert had fixed dozens of washers like ours already. He tentatively diagnosed the problem over the phone and had just what we needed in his well-stocked truck. He is fast, competent, and experienced (his father started the business in 1963 and he grew up fixing appliances). Jeff, my neighbor who is a landlord, will not let anyone else touch his appliances, and now I understand why... read more
