He frankly shared an honest feedback on the work done on our first bathroom. He literally spotted all the issues that were bothering us (and then some) in first few minutes. HBKB crew is quite busy so getting to the calendar took some time, but they are worth the wait. Wei is extremely prompt in responding and keeps you up to date with the progress. All the area of the house that could get dust from the work were properly covered, floor was nicely protected. Every day the crew would clean up so that even from outside there is no trash laying around. The bathroom took a little over 2 weeks and we are very happy with the result. The finish is much better. We can totally compare with our first bathroom and tell what difference does it make to go to the professionals. All the team members were very professional, courteous and hardworking. We are quite certain that we would reach out to HBKB for our next home project.

You won't regret it.)…read more We blame Josh for kick-starting the full remodel of our kitchen... ha ha ;) Our 1980's kitchen made it difficult to find a new refrigerator that would fit in the existing space. We called Josh and he measured to figure out what to trim for the fridge we wanted, took away the too low upper cabinet, cut it down at his shop, brought it back and re-installed it. You couldn't even tell that he had cut it! We were stoked to get our new fridge and have it fit into the custom space Josh created. Fast forward a couple months and we thought -- well, maybe it's time we do the whole kitchen? We hired a general contractor who suggested some cabinet suppliers - we got quotes from $8K - $35K+ for pre-fab cabinets. Because of our space and the stock options these cabinet suppliers provide, we were going to end up with smaller cabinets/less storage than we already had and with a design that we just didn't love. No thanks. At that point we thought, well, maybe we could work with Josh again? But we were nervous that custom cabinets would be out of our budget. We asked Josh to come to our house to talk through some options (mind you, no other supplier would) and he did. He LISTENED to us and what we wanted, was transparent about pricing and offered options that worked within our budget. He got back to us quickly with a quote, and we went for it. If you need ideas, he's your guy. We didn't change the footprint of our kitchen, but we now have more storage -- all because Josh came up with great suggestions like a cookie tray/cutting board cabinet next to our dishwasher where other suppliers would have left us with a filler/dead space. He also went above and beyond in paying attention to details -- he built a box in the same material as our new lower cabinets to surround the existing beam on our ceiling so it matched. Talk about tidy and clean - he took great care in covering all surfaces and being extra careful not to ding anything, he also swept and vacuumed each day when he left! If you have ANY questions he's always there to answer them with patience -- his communication is clear, concise and fast. Was JDB Cabinetry the cheapest option, no. Was JDB Cabinetry the most expensive option, nope - definitely not. Especially considering how much work and time he put into communicating with us and coming up with ideas on top of designing and making our cabinets. Are we stoked with what we ended up with - YES. I'm still walking around pinching myself that we have the kitchen of our dreams. We really couldn't be happier and we would recommend Josh time and again for any cabinetry work. He is second to none.

The quote from KRD was far more reasonable than others, especially considering the cabinet doors were to be made from high-quality wood by an experienced professional. Paul explained the process, clarifying that he worked very closely with an experienced stone fabricator, plumber and electrician. I was a bit hesitant at first because there were so many moving parts, but was more than impressed with how seamless the communication was amongst them. Both Paul and the stone fabricator, Ishmael, reassured me that they would guide me through each step and answer any questions I might have. It took only one week from demo of my old tile countertop to move forward with installation of several new cabinet boxes, and a new stone countertop. After a few weeks, the last step was install of the new cabinet doors... Which were beautiful. Andrew and Luis worked tirelessly to mount the doors and facing.
