He was great to work with throughout the whole process; some highlights: * Attention to Detail - Kay made sure we were happy with every detail of the build before moving on from design. He went back and forth with us and generated new renders for even minor changes to make sure we were 100% happy. * Moved Fast - Kay was always extremely responsive over email and when he needed to come by in person he would often come by the same day (and was very generous in the windows of availability he gave us). * Quality Sub-Contractors - All the sub-contractors Kay involved, from installation to painting, were as great to work with as he was. * Accommodated Our Asks - We had a few non-standard asks in the design but Kay went above and beyond to accommodate them. At the beginning everything was great, Kay came in several times to our place, show us samples, design ect, by June we agreed on everything and he started building cabinets, by Sep and Oct he delivered two vanities, MBR cabinets, later office, kids and living room and by October we were happy with results. Then something happened to him or his business. He took large deposit to continue building kitchen and entrance cabinet and promised to deliver all in November. November came and he is MIA, no responses to Ph calls or emails, until I wrote strong email explaining that I will place a stop on deposit paid w CC. He replied back to email, saying he is OK, but would not be able to deliver until January 2026. we agreed and continued to wait, in January he has gone again MIA, even other subs couldn't get a hold of him, cabinet installer, cabinet painter. After several appents to contact him he responded back that he is 100% guarantee to deliver all on Feb 13. On my question whats is happening, he was just mumbling some nonsense, so we decide to wait till Feb 13. Meanwhile we could not move in to our place and have to spend money to keep two places where we live and our new apartment w/o kitchen. On Feb 12 I emailed him asking if he is coming tomorrow Feb 13 and no response. I asked other subs to see if they can get a hold of him and no success either. So after month and a half, after me calling Credit card and canceling payment to him, and several attempts he finally responded and on my question what is going on he said he is fine and still in business. After request to explain what the hack is going on he said he want to "fix" his mistake and he will deliver all in mid May, because NOW he is building others customers cabinets. Even after my explanation that this is not right, that my order was from last year and he screw my whole family and should fix this issue as priority and after that take care other customers, he couldn't get it and refused to deliver all in April. I give him 30 days to build and deliver and explained to him that I simply can't trust him and wait another month and a half , as he lied and broken promises to me already half a dozen time. So, now I will take him to the court for all the money I lost, time and all emotional damage he cause to me and my family. So, watch out and protect yourself.

It was evident that he was a seasoned cabinet maker, as he was attentive and listened closely to my needs. He offered different options, without pressure and was patient as I made my decisions. The quote from KRD was far more reasonable than others, especially considering the cabinet doors were to be made from high-quality wood by an experienced professional. Paul explained the process, clarifying that he worked very closely with an experienced stone fabricator, plumber and electrician. I was a bit hesitant at first because there were so many moving parts, but was more than impressed with how seamless the communication was amongst them. Both Paul and the stone fabricator, Ishmael, reassured me that they would guide me through each step and answer any questions I might have. It took only one week from demo of my old tile countertop to move forward with installation of several new cabinet boxes, and a new stone countertop. After a few weeks, the last step was install of the new cabinet doors... Which were beautiful. Andrew and Luis worked tirelessly to mount the doors and facing. Their work was impeccable and they were extremely detailed oriented. I was very happy to see that they took their time, rather than rush through each step. They were respectful of me and my home, and I greatly appreciate that. I am extremely happy that I decided to go with Kitchen Reface Depot. I absolutely love my new kitchen. The whole team was such a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them.

Small company with poor customer service. We need kitchen…read morecabinets and few other cabinets, we approached this company to get an estimate, the initial draft plans were provided to them and after a little while they provided first initial estimate and we were pleased with price to quality ratio. We informed the office manager who we talked to initially that estimate doesn't have that we need/all the cabinets, but we could work on this while they come to a site for review. Vladimir, the owner of the company, came by, took all measurements, pictures and said we would be work with Nadia her wife/company designer on this project. We signed contract and paid initial deposit to start the work. The one thing what made me a little nervous right from the beginning is when I visit their "shop" in Newark I noticed they don't have much there, no show room and whole shop consist of only two machineries. I am somewhat familiar with cabinetry manufacturing processes and know those are absolutely not enough to manufacture everything they offer, but based on conversation with couple previous customers they work with I figured if they delivered product to those customers and kitchen cabinets looked fine, I shouldn't be worry about, even if they subcontract everything to others and just assemble these cabinets in their shop and do some minor work, it would be OK w me. So, we start working with Nadia on design of all cabinet and here is where we run into problems. It seems they are not paying attention to details and we have to go multiple times back and forward repeating ourself and pointing out the same issues/errors in design which made this whole process very frustrating. We asked Nadia to some over to a job site for her to see all herself, to make things easier, but she never did. Also, any minor changes that should takes minutes to adjust or correct was taking days and weeks. At the end as we got more and more frustrated and I send them email asking all the questions I had and my frustration and asking if we made mistake starting working this them? And....., instead of assuring us that everything would be OK and correcting the issues of our concerns, they simply said that if we don't like it, we can break/cancel contract, so we did. Shocking customer service !!! Basically we wasted month and a half from Nov 6 2024 until Dec 12 on nothing and for our deposit we only receiving some PDF drawings that would be useless for others, as others would still need to re-draw everything in AutoCAD (or other program) and again not even the whole thing, all the cabinets we telling them from the beginning are missing from designed, they never addressed those, but we specifically went on each cabinet and location with Vladimir on his initial and only visit. Very unfortunate, as we had hopes for this company. I think the main issue with this company is mom-and-pop shop (which I am not against) but they are overwhelms and because run by husband and wife they may not want argue between each other and run a company as it should and as result disregarding customers needs. Hope they will learn and make changes, but for now I would recommend think twice before starting working with them and do visit their manufacturing site at minimum. He frankly shared an honest feedback on the work done on our first bathroom. He literally spotted all the issues that were bothering us (and then some) in first few minutes. HBKB crew is quite busy so getting to the calendar took some time, but they are worth the wait. Wei is extremely prompt in responding and keeps you up to date with the progress. All the area of the house that could get dust from the work were properly covered, floor was nicely protected.
