From the design phase all the way to the final inspection, the entire process was smooth and easy. Tony and his crew did an excellent job and paid close attention to every detail during construction. Their Toto bidets and toilets have more choices than other stores and the price is quite attractive for the clearance models. I bought them in Feb from the CNY sale. 2. Their weekends are busy and they provide free lunch on Saturday. If you need to find a sales person to ask questions, avoid Saturday. 3. The salespeople get a commission, not a lot but some. Something like a $4000 purchase will get them ~$30+ bucks, so there's no contractor discount given out. 4. Some of their products are economical such as drains and they carry the German brand faucets, which we like. I don't see a lot of choices in sinks and tubs and the prices don't seem better than other stores. 5. They carry tiles, pre-fab vanities, but I didn't find the suitable ones. For tiles I suggest going to a tile store for everything including shampoo niche. 6. They have a table to entertainment kids with some snacks, which is better than other stores I've been to. 7. I ordered faucets but when I went to pick up a couple weeks later, some of them were out of stock. I've been waiting ever since for 3+ weeks now and still no phone call to let me know if they have restocked. Frustrating. 8. During pick up, the staff is thorough and check to make sure the colors and finishes match. There are items that the sales staff made mistakes and did not order the matching sets; luckily, that was fixed on the spot, but it took up extra time. So my advice is to avoid picking up on weekends. I toggled between Rubenstein and this one, my suggestion is that Rubenstein has better salespeople that explain things thoroughly. Their Toto selections are expensive but their tubs and sinks are good. So try to mix and match among stores if you want the service and the prices.

They also carry quality, "good-enough" budget options (for items like kitchen sink) and occasionally some very interesting wall tile designs. We got countertop slabs here - lots of selection, price was cheaper, and the main surface looked good. However, pattern continuity from main surface to the narrow side edge gets distorted with some batches, especially with patterns emphasizing stripes/veins. So pay attention to the side edge of their standard quartz slabs. We worked with Jaime, who is the best. We've probably been to East Star at least 20 times. Spacious parking lot, convenient location off 880, big bright showroom, and very reasonable prices.

A lot of contractors and businesses I contacted for quotes ended up either not showing up because the job was too small or they gave me outrageous quotes, but Farr was the only one to give a fair quote and a detailed scope of work. My previous roommate and I were absolutely thrilled with the final result, and the showers were a big selling point when I sold off my condo. Fast forward 2 years later and we purchased our first house which needed a lot of cosmetic renovations. Both bathrooms were very outdated with cracked tiles, smudged or old fixtures, bathtub, vanity, etc so we needed a full gut. Again Farr came out and was able to give me a competitive fair price for 2 bathroom renovations and it came out EXACTLY what I asked for, and even came back to touch up a few issues I pointed out after the job was almost complete!
