We called to have some floating shelves installed. Proper Hour had the work done within 24 hours, for cheaper than the competition, and did an excellent job. This is the third time we've called them, and every time they've done an excellent job. I'm just saving their number - why look for a handyman when we already know one who does it right? read more

I would recommend Proper Hour Home Services for their professional and efficient service. We had our AC wall unit removed, and the project went smoothly and hassle free. The work was kept clean and tidy, and the cost was reasonable. We will definitely call them for any projects In the future. read more

I had a front door that rubbed and stuck so badly for the past 15 years that it was barely usable. Then I found Proper Home Services. They sent Alex to my place. No more sticking door. Now it's better than new. And I've lived in this house since it WAS new. I'm keeping their contact info in case I need future repairs read more

I requested they quote a job for me of a wooden fence and gate. It was a small portion of the total fencing. Other companies tried to talk me into doing more fence repair as a preventative measure. Proper Hour quoted the area of fence I wanted to repair and did not try to convince me I should do more. Once we came to an agreement of price, and I consented, they arrived on the job the next day. The repairman took several hours and finished around 6:00 pm. He totally cleaned up after himself and my neighbor's area as well. I paid him, and he was done! It was a very positive experience. Proper has their act together; they responded quickly; gave clear and accurate quote; discussed details; and did the work with no complications; no issues; no delay or difficulty getting it done. The Task: an upstairs toilet leaked into a void in the kitchen; they cleaned the void; treated it for mold; put in sheetrock where needed; taped; surfaced and bought paint and painted. In addition; we had cracks at joints near front door; he taped/and or put in netting to cover it; taped; surfaced and painted. \ These were done.. including going to get the paint; in 3 hours. $850 for kitchen clean and $300 for entrance way crack Couldn't have been easier. Some other vendors were slow; got very complicated; said it would take days to dry out; remediation would cost a fortune, started out with HUGE ridiculous estimates. Mind you its a 3 x 2 void. Sergi in sales did a great job. Alexander who did the work was professional; did the work very quickly; and the job looks perfect. I am looking forward to having popcorn removed from a closet soon. Looking forward to recommending them read more

Slava's work was beautiful for recaulking my shower. Everything looked super clean and really good. Highly recommend!

I finally decided to pull the trigger on a full bathroom remodel, and the results speak for themselves. Looking at the 'before' photo versus what Proper Hour Home Services delivered is like night and day. They took a cramped, dated layout and turned it into a sleek, modern space. The transition from the old tub/shower combo to the stunning walk-in shower with floor-to-ceiling marble-style tile is incredible. The craftsmanship on the glass enclosure and the new vanity are great! Other than a few minor hiccups and delays, Vadim and his crew did a thorough job making sure everything was to my liking before completion. Very competitively priced. read more

Service One day we discovered discoloration with the baseboard in one of our rooms. We decided to get some professional opinion to see why that was. I reached out to a few services, but Proper Hour Home Service was able to come and perform a proper inspection. During the inspection, they were able to isolate the cause. It was due to gaps in the wall leading to moisture seeping inward. They were able to provide a solution, and schedule for the repair. We had to reschedule a few times, but they were responsive in their communication. Miscellaneous Proper Hour Home Service was responsive, professional, and easy to work with. They identified and completed the repair in a reasonable time frame. There are parts that I felt they did a bit of a rush job, such as the paint. They were also having issues with accepting credit cards, which made payment a bit of a hassle. But all in all, it was a good experience working with them. Would recommend and work with again. read more

Update to my review. We had to return the cabinet that this company installed, we got a new one and hired another professional. The job came out much better. And we were charged less for a significantly better job. I'll post the bad job that this company did and the new better vanity that someone else completed. I wouldn't believe the good reviews on yelp for this place read more

In early July 2026 we had Proper Hour Home Services help us with pre-installation work for a new refrigerator. As always, Proper Hour Home Services were very easy to work with and did a fantastic job at a great price! Our new fridge was too tall for our cabinet space, so needed to cut about 1 1/4 inches from top lip. We also had a long copper tubing run connecting filtered water to our old fridge ice maker. Since Lowe's installation doesn't work with copper tubing and requires a valve to hook up the ice maker line, we needed the copper tubing cut and a valve added to the new end. Ihor from PHHS came and did an excellent job on both tasks! He was able to detach the cabinet lip and cut it outside, so we never heard the loud sawing we expected :-). After installing the cut lip, it measured just right with a little room to space. He cut the copper tubing very cleanly after turning off the water main and installed and tested the valve he bought at Home Depot. Ihor also put down plastic before the work and did a great cleanup job. Our new fridge fit perfectly in the cabinet space and Lowe's installers had a very simple, smooth hookup of the ice maker line to the new valve with their ice maker line installation kit we bought with the fridge. Thank you Proper Hour Home Services for another well done job at our home! read more

I first hired Proper Hour Home Service for a shower door installation, and they did a great job, so I reached out to them again to replace all of the interior door slabs in my house. Replacing just the slabs takes quite a bit of precision and skill, so I was really glad they were willing to take this project on. There was some confusion at the beginning around scheduling, but once I brought it up, they adjusted quickly. Samuel then took over the project, and that really changed the experience for the better. We also ran into a misunderstanding around the scope of work and an additional cost that initially felt much higher than expected, to the point where I was considering cancelling the project. Samuel took the time to listen to my concerns, work through everything with me, and come up with a fair price. When the final scope ended up being a little less than anticipated, he even reduced the price further, which I really appreciated. He also sent two technicians to make up for the initial delay and get the work completed quickly. The doors turned out great, and the job was finished much faster than I expected. What could have been a frustrating experience was completely turned around by Samuel's responsiveness, patience, and willingness to find a fair solution. I would definitely recommend Proper Hour Home Service, especially for their technical skill and the way they handled an issue when it came up. read more

We've now used them for 3 jobs. For all of them, they were excellent to work with, very reasonable on cost, quick and effective at it. One was removing light fixtures to deal with electrical problems, which they came, had a better option which they quickly offered, and took care of the root issue, keeping everything in healthy order in a swift and professional manner. The next was getting floating shelves installed, which looks great and are incredibly sturdy. It was their track record that made me confident that buying the materials I wanted and having them handle it would turn out well. Saved me thousands versus some of the local shelving companies. Just an extremely reliable company with fantastic folks that come out, quiet and effective at a really quite reasonable rate. read more

I had a very old dryer electrical outlet. I put out a call on Yelp and received numerous responses. Proper Hour Home Service offered a labor quote while other companies would not. Once the tech got to my home, it was clear that he was an electrician with excellent skills and professionalism. I was so happy with the work that I scheduled another appointment for my other electrical needs. I believe they also do handyman work. read more

They were there for me when I really needed someone quick. Had a standing water issue result in needing some repairs to our backdoor trim. Proper Hour was able to schedule quickly, arrive on time and fix the damaged molding. The price was more than fair for how nice the repair turned out. If you're looking to have work done I would recommend giving Proper Hour Home Services a try. read more

I recently had a door removed and the opening sealed with drywall, and overall I'm happy with the result. The pricing felt fair for the scope of work, and Artem, who handled the job, did solid, careful work--everything looks clean and well-finished. The only area for improvement is around setting expectations. I was initially told the job would take about a day, but it ended up taking a few days to fully complete which meant changing up plans. In fairness, the extended timeline made sense given the work involved, but it would have been helpful to know that upfront. That said, the quality of the work and professionalism on-site were good, and I'd consider working with them again--just with a bit more clarity on timing next time. read more

My answer to Vadim's response...This wasn't long term damage. We called immediately when we realized there was water on our wall. There were no surprises. You opened the wall and you still told me it would take two weeks. From start to finish it was 5 weeks. After the demo you never mentioned any new discovery. The only surprise was that you neglected to tell your guys what we wanted time after time. You spent the extra days fixing everything you messed up. Also, I bought our tile, toilet and vanity myself and had it delivered ahead of time. You seem to want a pat on the back because you put plastic up. That's expected when you're tearing down tile. Everyone does that. You delayed completion because you didn't order the shower doors when you should've plus all the time it took to fix your constant mistakes. Can you imagine if I made you tear down the tile that they installed in the wrong direction? I can't just go pick up more tile. It takes a week to have it delivered. You would've been here until Christmas. read more

They were great. Super responsive over the yelp chat which was at like 11pm, and reasonably priced. Oh right the job was to replace our rusting old sink with a new one which I had already ordered. So they just provided labor. Which was perfect. And they cleaned up after. Would absolutely hire them again. read more

This company fixed a very old hung window for me after trying for 3 times. First of all, it's very hard to find someone who is willing to take this seemingly small job. It actually turned out to be very challenging. Samuel is very helpful and responsive for the request, Ihor the technician is amazing, very patient and did a great job, helped me order the right parts and finally made it work. I cannot say more good things about him, I wish I could rate with 10 stars. The whole process was long, however, I felt easier by working with this group. The cost was reasonable for the scope of work. I will definitely go back to this company for any future home service. Highly recommend! read more

Outstanding job by Arkadii today! I had the cutest little cat door to be installed in my bedroom door, but the door had just been painted so beautifully, so I was afraid to "ruin" the door at all, but he did an excellent job and it looks purrfect ;) Phew! Furthermore, my cat absolutely loved him and kept following him & brushing up against him the whole time haha He was also able to do three other minor repairs I showed him on the fly, which included some faulty sliding shower doors and 2 broken drawers (one of which had tons of paper jammed way in the back that we couldn't see at first). He was very patient, friendly, efficient, and professional. I will be calling here to schedule more repairs in the near future! read more

Very prompt communication via their Yelp presence, helped understand timing, work, billing, and even quickly resolved a mixup where we accidentally paid twice. Work itself was great - the handyman showed up promptly, took care of all three window issues nicely (2 stuck windows and a screen replacement). Definitely will be talking with this company again for other tasks as they come up! read more

Sent an initial quote despite me providing all the info and then when I got into the specifics it was 3x the price quoted .. competing quotes with other vendors are 1/3 of their price. Unless u want to be robbed in daylight ... avoid ... this service is overpriced and I guarantee you will be overcharged ... get competing quotes before you go with this vendor Update 1: like the vendor said service was not actually performed ...because I decided not to go with that out of the world quote ... 3 times every body else's quotes ...but if they are changing quotes and price gouging before the work begins you can only Imagine what will happen when they do the actual work! Be warned .. total lack of detail and planning ... just price gouging ... Update 2: completed the assembly on my own .. took two hours and one person (me) to do it ... these guys claimed it would take two people and wanted $600 for the job... if that isn't price gouging I don't know what is lol read more
