Love my new countertops that look amazing!! Thanks Jodi and Ken for making my kitchen and bathrooms look new! I was recommended to them by Creative Wall Designs and I'm glad they did. I got multiple countertop quotes but Jodi came in the middle for price and asked me the most questions of what were my goals for the project. The other vendors just wanted measurements and to just give me the quote. Jodi acted as a consultant walking me thru all the different types of stones and the pros and cons of each stone. After talking with her I decided to go with HIMACS Volcanic Stone in the color Shasta. This is stain resistant stone and you can refinish it if it gets scratched. Since we have 3 year old Twins this seemed perfect over Quartz. We did have a few bumps on the project. First the tear out took over a day which we had not planned since the tile was over 33 years old. The team had to come back on a Sunday to get it completed on time because the painters were starting on Monday to paint my cabinets. Second our materials arrived and were damaged. Monarch had to reorder and that put the schedule out about 3 days. A few days later they installed the bathrooms and we had sinks again woo hoo!! The coving turned out beautiful and I could not see any lines at all on my new countertops. Friday we had the kitchen countertops installed and wow what a transformation! They looked beautiful and the kitchen appeared so much bigger! My 3 year twins said Mommy we have a New Home!! The crew who did the tear out were rushing and did chip the wall and let some of the tear out materials get into my garbage disposal but luckily the plumber was able to vacuum it all out. Overall I'm very happy with my new kitchen and bathrooms and would recommend them in a second!

Jodi was very helpful in the showroom, with excellent solid surface pattern recommendations to go along with our cabinets and wall colors. The installation team worked extra hard, and took extra time to make sure the counter fit was just right.

Member Comments: When we had finally decided it was time to redo the kitchen we started searching Angie's list and Yelp for a reparable counter company to start the process. She came across Monarch and decided from the reviews that we should take a look at what they had and talk to them. What a great experience. Jodi, one of the owners met us at the show room and took us through the process. Having a partner that is extremely anal and used to work in corp facilities made Monarch's already great process flow with ease. As Jodi and Lisa went through all of the options and talked shop, I did my usual thing and wandered around and looked at all of the samples. I had one hit my eye that was just beautiful and was a brand new product to the market from Corian. Of course as always it was higher price then we were planning but after a little begging of Lisa to find a few extra dollars in the budget it was the final choice and we could not be happier. Monarch took all of our draft measurements that Lisa had done with all the drawings and started the bid process. Since it was going to be a complete kitchen overhaul we also needed a plumber, painter and cabinet worker. Jody had people she recommended who recommended other people and before you knew it we had the team in place and only needed Monarch to come out and reaffirm our initial measurements. They were always on time, kept in constant contact with us and worked with us to make sure the sink and stove we bought could be cut into the counter tops and installed. Having such a great team at Monarch made the process appear to be seamless. The counter top company that they purchased the slab from also had the sink we wanted so it was all ordered at once and the Monarch team had that to use as a template for the new cuts. We cannot recommend this company enough, they are professional, nice to work with and do fantastic work. The corian counter top was processed to look like natural stone, having said that there is always the issue of cutting and matching where the cuts are. Monarch did a fantastic job. If you didn't know where the cuts were to begin with you would not find them. You will not go wrong and will have a fantastic kitchen if you use Monarch, and Jody and Ken's commitment to quality, customer service goes above the industry standard. Many Thanks again Jodi & Ken you all ROCK!!!

My wife and I are so glad we went with Bay Custom Countertops. We went to so many places and contacted many different companies. Bay Custom Countertops gave us the best quote and also were very easy to work with. Frank and his team worked around what my contractor was doing and did everything they could to make things perfect. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again for any new projects. Frank and his team had to make extra cuts and modifications and were very efficient and friendly.

I like that his focus is on fabrication and not on material sales. There is such a huge selection of stone out there I don't know why anyone would want to limit their choices by going with an all in one shop.

Apologies as this review is long overdue. If you are just here wondering if you should use and…read moretrust Luxurious Stone, then 10000% yes. Based on my experience, you will not be disappointed. If you want to hear about the overall experience and level of service, then read on... I started off my search by messaging multiple people/companies about countertop fabrication and installation. Some messaged me back, some gave very minimal responses, some places had high prices, some didn't have time for all of my questions. This is the first time I've done any countertop work and I did a lot of research on many different places and scoured the Hayward/San Leandro area and beyond to look at different countertops, designs, etc. Alvaro always responded to all my messages and emails. Every single time. Sometimes my messages would be weeks apart. When I finally made my decision to go with him, it was well over a month from when I first contacted him. He stuck with me all along the way and that left an impression on me, especially in this type of business. I had a few strange questions about different options and configurations of the counters and he was always responsive with open and honest opinions and information. Once I finally picked out my material, he met me at the shop where I purchased the counter to check out the material and he helped me make sure we were getting a good piece that wasn't too warped. All of this helped reassure me that he approved of my selection and that his trained eye could notice things that I wouldn't be able to notice on my own. He picked up the slab with his truck and took it off to fabricate and cut. He showed up a few days later for the install and it was done in no time. Oh, I forgot to mention that he stopped by and did a consultation and looked everything over and provided a ton of really helpful advice and analysis of the job, how he would suggest doing it, what he wouldn't suggest etc. He also brought some samples with him for me to check out and offered a great price on countertops that he already had on hand. The entire experience is everything that you would hope for in a countertop install. I will recommend him to anyone that need any countertop work. The pricing was some of the best I could find, the work was high quality (still looking great and holding up 7 months in) and Alvaro was a pleasure to work with. Thank you very much for everything!

We hired a general contractor and agreed to use all of their selected subcontractors except for a small subset we insisted on selecting ourselves, including Custom Stone. Custom Stone came highly recommended by multiple stone suppliers and other fabricators in the Bay Area. The scope of our stone installation was large and it was critically important that we select a fabricator who had experience with higher-end homes and highest-quality installations. Our scope included a master bathroom consisting of a double vanity, an 8' tall all-slab master shower and an undermounted roman master bathtub; a large kitchen with multiple stone surfaces including a 12' x 9' island; two guest bathrooms with marble slab vanities; a guest bathroom all-slab shower; an all-slab marble surround and hearth for a 42" fireplace; a custom designed and constructed semi-precious slab backlit bar; and an outdoor BBQ counter with Neolith. At the outset of the project, Custom Stone joined us during trips to various stone yards, advised us on the considerations of different materials, and helped us to obtain the most competitive pricing with their relationships. During the fabrication process, Custom Stone sent us multiple detailed design mock-ups and welcomed us to participate in the process. They recently invested in state-of-the-art fabrication equipment and technology that enables Contractors and Owners to see exactly what output they can expect, and to efficiently and flexibly provide input into the design and configuration decisions. For example, their new 3-D Laser measuring system and real-time digital vein-matching software allowed us to approve our slab layout before the fabrication started. Custom Stone's CNC waterjet cutting machine enabled exceptionally precise cuts on the material that we didn't find possible with other fabrication firms, allowing Custom Stone to produce the highest-quality end products for our project. Custom Stone's work is uncontestably one of the highlights of the new home and has significantly enhanced its aesthetic and value. We cannot speak highly enough of their work and the process of working with them. They worked and collaborated well with other trades/subcontractors, offered up creative solutions and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to quality. When we were selecting our stone subcontractor, we considered five (5) criteria in the following stack-ranked order: (1) precision in design and craftsmanship, and attention to detail; (2) knowledge of products/materials; (3) design skill in assembling pieces to create contiguous and less visible seams; (4) use of current technology and tools; and (5) reliable and on schedule. Custom Stone achieved the highest marks across all five criteria. We would certainly recommend and hire them again for whatever scope project we consider in the future.

WOW!!!! We are so HAPPY we chose Bracho! We had a couple of slabs of complicated "river-like"…read moreartistic granite, so matching the full backsplash and fancy edging was no easy task. Our Island and counter top turned out so fabulous. As soon as I figure out how to upload the pictures of our new kitchen, you will be able to take a look at the craftsmanship. After getting estimates and searching for quality work to be done on our kitchen granite, I gave Bracho a call. I'm so glad I did! Not only did they do a fantastic job, but Henry saved us close to $3k over the other contractors. That made me happy because we needed to cut some cost, but I still wanted great quality. Henry is a genius when it comes to matching the granite design. I would never have been able to visualize this as well as he. Its a worrisome deal when you pay so much for beautiful granite slabs and then have it cut and you know it needs to be done right the 1st time. Well, Henry is your man for this! He has so much experience with designs that for him, it is easy to help you choose good pattern matches and flows. He also understands why it can be sort-of stressful to decide on the cut (for the home owner) AND he works with you to figure it out for yourself. Although, I have to say, he knew the correct way to cut the pieces all along. It just took me a while to understand how the matching up of the flow would ultimately end up. After they templated the countertops and came back with the fabricated granite, they installed it to perfection. There was one small 4" backsplash (we had full backsplash on the rest) that we asked if they minded redoing as a 6" from another part of the remaining granite. We decided we preferred a 6" backsplash and found a piece that would match really well. Henry accommodated the request with no problem whatsoever. His main focus was that he wanted US to be happy with the end results. So, we removed the 4" splash (it had only been on the wall for a handful of hours so the bonding cement had not fully dried) without any problems. The next day they came back and picked up the granite piece with the template I had made and prefabricated and installed the new 6" splash without any additional charges. Also, they did not charge us for a special drill bit they had to buy in order to create a 3/8" hole for the fibre optic remote controller garbage disposal switch we got for the new sink area (by the way, the remote switch is super low profile and is definitely the way to go as far as helping to unclutter the sink spout area and is far nicer than the stupid switch we had on the wall, here's where I discovered this option on amazon in case your interested: http://www.amazon.com/Waste-King-FRC-4016-Fiber-Controller/dp/B002B38KM4/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_text_b) I've rambled on long enough! But, I'm thinking you get the picture. Mostly I put the details in there in case it will be helpful to someone. Also, I do want to say the review from Madhu was not based on actual work done. This is worth considering when you read what he said. Henry is a busy person, but always found time to talk with me on the phone about things that could be handled that way. I sent Henry a picture of my kitchen drawings/with dimensions from my iPhone and he was able to provide an estimate over the phone this way. So, my experience was good from the start.

For the countertops, I sourced my own quartzite slabs, and F&L handled the rest. The templating team also went above and beyond to make sure my expensive slabs were used as efficiently as possible with virtually nothing wasted.
