From the design phase all the way to the final inspection, the entire process was smooth and easy. Tony and his crew did an excellent job and paid close attention to every detail during construction. From…read morebeginning to end, our points of contact, Avi & Joseph have gone above and beyond for our project, walking us through the planning phases, permitting, design, construction and finishing work of the renovation. They were able to make a normally very stressful process almost stress-free, so much so that all I had to do was say "yes or no" when it came to key decisions. The Construction & More team took lead in the painful parts of dealing with permitting, PG&E, and subcontractors. They also got us in contact with their preferred vendors to help us with discounts on appliances, finishes and other materials we needed to purchase out of pocket. Overall, I found the Construction & More team extremely professional, transparent, organized, communicative and punctual when it came to the end-to-end process. They truly helped guide us through the process so we didn't have any surprises and helped us navigate any hiccups that came up. Normally, construction companies get a bad rap of being dishonest and trying to add in hidden fees and such, but Construction & More is a truly forthcoming and hardworking group of contractors who have your best interest at heart when it comes to your project no matter how big or small. For the process itself, we began with a consultation at our home to walk through the work we wanted the Construction & More team to do. For us, it was a full renovation which included removing a kitchen wall to create an open concept kitchen & living room, adding a mud room, expanding the master bedroom, moving the front and garage doors, as well as moving the ceilings to create a more open space. After the consultation was completed, we met with Avi & Joseph at their office to discuss an estimate and timeline for the work we needed done about (6-months time, pending no delays). Avi & Joseph respected our budget and were upfront and honest of how to stay within the budget and what were non-negotiables that we needed to get done. They really helped us understand what work was critical and what were nice to have to make our living space better. Once we agreed on the work, they promptly sent over a contract for signature, created a whatsapp group for real time communication, and next steps. Overall this initial process took about a week after negotiations and contract reviews. Once construction began, the team coordinated all the work. They made sure that all moving parts were well executed while setting a realistic timeline for the work to be done. All the subcontractors and tradesmen were effectively scheduled, where there wasn't a single day where there was no work being done. I felt that the team ensured that the construction was moving swiftly and the crew was respectful of our space. The crew made sure that our home was properly locked up and cleaned up after each day's work. Additionally, all the detailed finishing work was measured and completed with precision, where all the tiles placed were measured with a laser. As a bonus, the crew was also super respectful to our neighbors which is an extra plus! If you're considering a renovation of any size, but especially a full home renovation, I could not rave more about Construction & More. It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

I know hiring a contractor is scary. There's a lot involved and they'll be in your house for an indeterminate amount of time which makes it really important to hire someone you can trust. Tom came out to provide an estimate for our project. He was the only one of the contractors I called that really investigated the existing condtions and repair based on what he could see and his own knowledge. He spent over an hour at the initial call making sure he didn't miss anything and talked through the potential issues and repair. This was his time spent not knowing whether or not we'd hire him. He was also the only contractor to tell me he would only do the work with a permit. Whether or not you think one is needed, just knowing that he wasn't afraid of the permitting or inspection process was a big plus to me. Always ask about permits during the interview process. He then went to his car, drafted an estimate and came back to talk to me about it. I was really impressed at this point. There wasn't any pressure from him to sign on and he encouraged me to ask questions. The estimate was well defined and a bit higher than another bid, but from what I saw I thought it would be worth it. After we signed on, he gave a rough schedule and starting time and said they stay on the job until it's done. We had a list of items to buy and he helped us out there too. He was in constant communications and always responded, even on weekends. Before the work begins, it is pretty easy to promise things to the client while telling your crew something else. When the work actually started, Jesus was our foreman and true to their word, he stayed on the project until completed. They were extremely respectful of our home, carefully protected things and kept the work area clean. During demolition, they found some unforseen things, but took care of it without issue. There were times when they could've easily walked through our house to talk to us, but instead opted to ring the door bell to respect our space. The construction went smoothly and Tom would visit and communicate frequently. He took care of the inspections as well without issue and some other things without charging us, which I appreciated. At the end of the project, we had some concern about the slope of our deck above the office. Tom and his crew came out and fixed it and didn't even mention the final payment until we were happy. Our remodelled office looks amazing. I'd gladly recommend LB Construction for anyone looking for a contractor and will contact them again in the future.

A lot of contractors and businesses I contacted for quotes ended up either not showing up because the job was too small or they gave me outrageous quotes, but Farr was the only one to give a fair quote and a detailed scope of work. My previous roommate and I were absolutely thrilled with the final result, and the showers were a big selling point when I sold off my condo. Fast forward 2 years later and we purchased our first house which needed a lot of cosmetic renovations. Both bathrooms were very outdated with cracked tiles, smudged or old fixtures, bathtub, vanity, etc so we needed a full gut. Again Farr came out and was able to give me a competitive fair price for 2 bathroom renovations and it came out EXACTLY what I asked for, and even came back to touch up a few issues I pointed out after the job was almost complete! The work was on hold for a full year due to the pandemic. GMBC did not increase our contract (although we directly paid the increased cost of lumber and finish materials) and they did not pressure us to start before we were really comfortable doing so with the pandemic. Everyday my husband and I tell each other how much we love our house now. After 24 years, it is the home we've always wanted. They may be fine for small tiling jobs, or a cheap kitchen flip that you don't care about the quality but anything beyond that is a mistake. Project Experience: -Disorganized & Poor Communication: Ruben, the contractor, constantly miscommunicated with his crew, leading to errors and wasted time. The crew speaks limited English, and Ruben failed to properly relay instructions. -Constant Rescheduling & Delays: The project was plagued with intentional delays because they were trying to juggle randoms crew members to the job site. They do not have a dedicated crew. To keep the job moving, I had to step in and install my stove hood myself. Quality of Work: -Minimal Supervision & Costly Mistakes: Ruben was only on-site for 30 minutes to an hour a day. The crew made frequent errors, wasted materials, and ultimately cost me an extra $5,000 in materials. Unprofessional Workmanship: -A crew member (Adrian) improperly used self-leveling, causing mortar to seep through walls and doors. -The same worker almost set my kitchen on fire due to incorrect wiring. -A junior crew member (Manuel) threw away new materials, further increasing costs. -My husband and I had to redo the wall texture they applied because it was done so poorly. -The countertop was improperly installed (by Victor), leading to a post-installation crack. The contractor promised to fix it but was a no-show, wasting an entire day of our time. -The dishwasher was incorrectly installed (Ricardo), requiring my husband to take a day off to reinstall it. Material Pricing & Usage: The contractor ordered materials on my behalf, but the pricing changed and was increased without transparency. The crew also took materials I paid for to use on other job sites. Also on two occasions, we had to order more tiles at 3x the cost because all the measurements were incorrect. Other Issues: -The crew trashed and clogged our bathroom toilet. They denied responsibility until I installed a camera--only then did the issue stop. -Never reimbursed or refunded for damages and extra expenses. Final Verdict: Ruben is a nice guy and means well, but his company is not equipped for big jobs (over $10K). If you have a small bathroom tile job, they might be fine, but anything beyond that--find a better contractor. We rushed to finish the project just to be done with them, and in hindsight, we should have hired someone else from the start. Do not make the same mistake we did. 2/5 - Would not recommend for major home renovations. Recommend for small jobs only.

David helped us to fix the cracks in the granite countertop, re-install granite countertop that previous contractor failed to install correctly. He also extended granite countertop to form a waterfall section, and installed tiles for the backsplash. David was very easy to work with. He came to assess the project, provided a reasonable estimate, and was courteous all the way. He agreed to pick up granite from Hayward on his truck and deliver it to us in the North Bay for this project. He was always punctually on-time and everything went smoothly. Well a few weeks later I moved apartments and needed a bunch of stuff done (hanging curtains, TV, etc) He was very skilled at all of these things and it saved me a bunch of time and not having to bother my friends. Plus if I did it myself, things would have been much more crooked. He asked all the right questions about how I wanted things set up and was an excellent communicator. He charged me hourly, had a reasonable rate, and was efficient with the time. We got a lot done. I highly recommend Erick for any handyman type stuff you may need!

We had our master and second bathrooms remodeled by Ray and his team. Our foreman was Alex…read more We had the rooms stripped down to the studs. New floor, new drywall, new electric, new bathtub and shower, new wall tiles, and all the furnishings. We provided detailed plans, layouts, and furnishings list. Overall we are very happy with the result. Alex was very detail oriented, and was always ready to make a change if something wasn't going to work for us. His drywall, paint, and trim work were excellent. Tile work was very good as well. He and his team were very respectful of our space and did their best to keep things clean (but any remodel makes a mess!) Ray was very responsive to my questions and was easy to get a hold of. Always friendly and easy going. At the end of the project our bathrooms were complete all the way down to the details I laid out in a plan. The value for their work is excellent - we had another contractor bid 50% more and I seriously doubt they could do 50% better! Did everything go perfect? No... do I think it would have gone better with another company? Nope! However, when there are problems the most I can ask for is solutions, and Ray and Alex worked with us to solve them. Also the timeline of the work went longer than expected. This may have been mitigated by more workers on some days, but sometimes you can't rush good work.
