David was prompt and communicative from scheduling to being onsite. Kept us well informed. Very satisfied, will use and recommend.

I am extremely grateful to have chosen David and his team for my kitchen update. I am a business owner myself and have high expectations for the people I hire. I was very satisfied with the whole process. He was very communicative, professional, thorough and skilled. He suggested different ways to finish the transitions between materials I didn't even know that I needed that took the design up a notch. Overall it was an excellent experience and I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again. See the before and after photoshop read more

We hired David for our bathroom upgrade project after seeing the wonderful work he did for our neighbor. That was the best decision we took. We then had him install hardwood flooring in our stairs, loft and all our rooms. David and his team surpassed our expectations. David is a thorough professional and a very skilled worker. We had a great experience working with him from our first meeting right up to the last day of work. He changed our bathroom countertop, changed our fixtures and painted the walls. Our master bath has been transformed by him! The hardwood floor team was also top notch and did a really thorough job. Considering the quality of his work, we found his charges to be reasonable and of great value for money. David is fantastic and easy to work with, has great communication and interpersonal skills. He is thorough in his work, detail oriented, and goes the extra mile by leaving the place spotless at the end of each day. He is always happy to help customers in any way even if he has to go out of his way, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction. I highly recommend David without any hesitation for any of your home improvement needs! read more

From start to finish, David was such a pleasure to do business with. He always responded promptly. He was also 1/3 less than what 2 other companies quoted us. Communication was great, he showed up early and was very clean throughout the project. We ran into unforeseen snags as far as cabinet fit but he was quick to fix it with efficiency. He even went to Home Depot to get a few things that we didn't have. My sink looks great and I am very happy we chose David. read more

Bottom line David does excellent work at great prices! He did the following for us (see attached pictures): Master bathroom: - created beautiful custom vanity countertops with waterfalls on the sides along with custom ramp sinks using a Caesarstone slab we provided. This was very detailed and demanding work that turned out beautifully. - installed wall faucets and the associated plumbing - hung custom lighted mirrors along with the associated electrical work - installed large format tiles on the walls Powder Room: - installed tiles on the wall and floor - installed a new toilet (with associated electrical) and pedestal sink - installed a wall faucet along with the associated plumbing - hung a custom lighted mirror + the necessary electrical work Kitchen: - Covered the sheetrock on our kitchen island with the same wood as our cabinets He'll definitely be the first guy I call for any future work. His work is superb, he's very easy to work with, trustworthy, and just an all-around good guy! Michael read more

David is a jack of all trades! I initially reached out to him to replace our countertops in our master bathroom but quickly discussed doing a complete bathroom remodel. He came by to give me an estimate in person and was reasonable compared with other contractors I had talked to. He took his time to do a great job and ensured he delivered high quality results. All work in the below pictures was done by him (except the cabinets) including demolition. read more

I reached out to David for a rush job to install new countertops and add a backsplash for our old kitchen. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to remodeling, so I heavily relied on his expertise. He graciously and patiently guided me through decisions such as what materials and hardware I should use, where to buy them to minimize costs, and their placement during installation for the best aesthetic result. Even though I gave vague instructions, he managed to express those in more definite terms and, ultimately, deliver work that far exceeded my expectations. From day 0, David is extremely thorough, taking in detailed measurements and requirements to offer a very fair quote and accurate projected material costs. During the work day, his team works diligently and meticulously, then leaves the work area spotless. In my case, the work area and beyond were left much cleaner than when they started working, which is a wonderful gesture when you have a toddler to chase. We chose a thick marble herringbone pattern mosaic tile, which took skill to cut precisely without cracking and attention to detail during installation to make sure the spacing was even. The quartz countertops were flawlessly fabricated and installed, with mitered edges to create seamless, clean surfaces. All in all, I am blown away by our kitchen improvements. It's now the best part of this rickety apartment by a mile. Even though the rush job meant that David and his team would have to work long days and on the weekend to meet my deadline (which he beat by a couple of days), they somehow did not compromise on quality. I will be looking forward to future projects and, without a question, I fully recommend him and his team! read more

We had a few minor chips on our quartz countertop around the sink. We called David and he came over the same day and gave us some great advice. Our countertops have a 1/32" bevel which seems too sharp hence the chipping. David recommend we drop this to a 1/16" bevel. We agreed. He did it with his tools, pretty amazing a sander and grinder looking set of tools and was done in a matter of 30 minutes or so. It wasn't cheap but I think it was worth the investment. read more

David responded quickly and set up a time to meet within a few days. He arrived when scheduled and completed the job as required. Our granite had a chip fall off and David glued the piece back on and filled in any gaps. After refinishing the piece, it's hard to tell where the repair took place. read more

David did a good enough job with the granite, but I have to take off a star for the dodgy corner cut (see picture). Another star comes off because his estimate was cash-only, but he didn't say so beforehand. He wanted $500 more if we paid by check, so we had to take an hour out of our day to get him his wad of cash. UPDATE: David kindly offered 100$ to make up for his mistake read more

Look no further. We are so pleased with David's quality of work on our kitchen counter top. We would definitely call him for his service again. He was very responsive and responded quickly to our texts, showed up on time, completed the job as promised and on schedule. He was very knowledgable and meticulous to the details. He proactively involved us on key choices we had to make which we liked. He brought us into the decision process on adjustments needed. He even fixed shortcuts other contractors did with our dishwasher installation. He always wanted to make sure we knew what he was doing and that we were ok with the outcome. How many contractors do that? He genuinely cared about our experience and soon became our trusted advisor. You could tell that David takes pride in his work. He was careful in protecting our cabinets and everything around the job. In fact, he had another person vacuum behind him to minimize the dust and debris during demolition process. Just fantastic. David's prices are very reasonable too. Considering the quality job, we feel like we got a great price for honest labor and high quality effort. There was no up-sell pressure either and very honest. We would highly recommend him to our friends and family. read more

This review is long overdue and if Yelp allows it, I would give David a 10+ star rating. I relocated to the East Bay pre-pandemic and this is my 6th property which I've renovated. I've had my bad experiences with contractors in the past which is why I feel very fortunate to have found David. First of all, David is very responsive by phone and text. He's also very reliable, always punctual to appointments and gets the job done in a timely manner. He offers great suggestions and ideas, being new to the area, he was able to direct me to the right places to find the materials I'm looking for. (Tip: it's faster to order all the materials/supplies and have it delivered/ready beforehand, otherwise, David can also pick it up for you.) He along with his workers are very hardworking and cleaned up each time at the end of the day. I'm amazed at the quality workmanship he's demonstrated and it shows upon completion of each job. There isn't anything he can't do. I interviewed other contractors to install a corner farm house sink which was deemed impossible but David made it happen. Not only are his price quotes reasonable, unlike other contractors I've worked with, he is honest upfront on the cost and tries his best to reduce any unnecessary fees. So far, he has completed four projects in my house in the past two years: kitchen remodel, guest bathroom remodel, master bathroom shower stall and marble countertop & toilet upgrades for my other bathrooms. See attached photos of the finished work he's done and all within my budget. I cannot recommend David enough as a skilled contractor, but also as a trustworthy person with excellent work ethics. I look forward to working with him again and feel free to contact me directly for a personal reference, if needed. read more

My five star rating is based on my short interaction with Cruz A+ Tile and David. I was in the middle of a mini kitchen renovation when I ran into a situation where I needed someone to help pick up and cut the countertops we had planned to install ASAP, otherwise we'd be without a functional kitchen for a while. I found Cruz A+ Tile on Yelp. I read the reviews, liked what I saw, and contacted them that night. The next morning I received a message back stating they can come out that day to check it out. I gladly accepted and met with David about the project. In the end we had to change our plans and didn't need their services, but based on what I experienced, David had a great response time and even would have squeezed my project in the same week, which was one of the things I was looking for. I'll definitely be keeping their contact number for the future! read more

I had a small request- to cut a hole in my existing granite counter top for a hot water dispenser. My request was too small of a job for most fabricators, but David responded right away, came over and finished the job in less than an hour (about 10-15 minutes from start to end of cutting with prep and clean up). We found Countertops & More on Yelp and were impressed with the listed reviews and photos. We always try to support local Hayward businesses. David came out right away to give our estimate. He is very polite and professional. He is very conscientious. At every turn he is honest, reliable and his work is top notch. He is pleasure to work with. Our job had a tricky fit near a door jam and David did an amazing, precise and perfect job! We are extremely happy with the job he did for us. Looking forward to doing more improvements. We will definitely be calling David! read more

We first found David last year when I decided I'd had enough fighting with my kitchen faucet and had bought a new one only to find the hole was a quarter centimeter too small to fit with our sink. Almost every company I contacted basically told me the job wasn't worth their time, but David came by the same day and got it done for us within an hour. It was awesome to have a functioning faucet but what I really wanted was a better sink. We had a split sink (which sucks by the way), and we had gone to HD to see about replacing it and they basically said it'd be impossible without replacing the granite so I'd given up. Fast forward a few months and I find a drop in Kohler sink at Costco that I fell madly in love with. I was determined to get my dream sink so I reached out again to several contractors and all of them said the job wasn't big enough. I reached back out to David and he had no problem coming out, giving me a quote and scheduling our project. He showed up on time a few days later, walked me through the process (confirming several times what I wanted and how the end product would look) and was done by the afternoon. Did a great job and left the kitchen just as clean as he found it. And I now have my dream sink! Oh, and I should mention that this is our temporary mini remodel. We just wanted to have a better functioning kitchen for now but plan on remodeling the entire kitchen to the studs. So to all those other contractors: in the words of Julia Roberts "You work on commission right? Big mistake. Big. Huge!". read more

I rarely give 5 stars unless it's really deserved and David is truly a worker that deserves it. As a property manager for homes and apartments, I have worked with many contractors, carpenters/handyman in the line of home improvements but seldomly would I come across a valued worker like David. I had a kitchen that was remodeled 5 yrs ago and wanted to do a minor kitchen remodeling that required an existing marble countertop to be cut 30 inches wide that also requires to remove the cabinet underneath the countertop in order to make room to slide in a 30" wide one unit stove oven. I reached out to many kitchen countertop stone fabricators on yelp and most weren't able to help me and the ones that do, only wanted to do a whole kitchen remodel that starts from $15K and up. There were even contractors that didn't know how to cut the marble countertop that was already set on the counter. And the ones that could do the cut don't know how to remove the cabinet under the countertop. I only had 2 days to get this done before the appliance store deliver the oven stove. I was running out of options until I came across Countertops and More Services. David from CMS responded to my request for the quote within minutes. Received his estimate and agreed for him to do the job and he was able to come through for me and completed the job on a Sunday.., 2 days before the appliance delivery. Not only does he do big kitchen or bathroom remodels from his pics but he came through on a smaller remodeling when the others only wanted to remodel or replace the whole counter tops and cabinets, which would have been such a waste and very costly to owners. It's quite rare nowadays to see a worker like him, very detailed, hard working with good work ethics that provide quality results. He carefully measures and double checks everything and even asked me if this is what I wanted before cutting to prevent any mistakes on the marble/granite countertop. After cutting, grinding and polishing the marble countertop, he re-measured again for squareness and accuracy. Prior to any work, he covered everything up in the work area before cutting and his assistant would vacuum the dust as he cuts the countertop. After the job was completed, he and his assistant left the kitchen very clean afterwards and took all the debris/garbage outside the house before leaving. He even polished the edges on the marble countertop after he cut it. All this and at a reasonable price. I will definitely use him again on my next kitchen/bathroom remodeling, counters and cabinets installs, tile floors or smaller work repairs that involve natural stones as the materials. If you ever need any work (big or small) for your kitchen, bathroom, floors or anywhere that you want natural stones for the materials, David is your go to guy. You will not be disappointed using him. I was fortunate to have found him and you will be as well. See my before and after pics. Hope this helps with your decision and good luck with your project. read more

I'll begin this review with stating that I'm one of the most skeptical and critical individual. I'm always concerned about hiring people to do work on my house because you usually don't really know the qualifications of the people or if the yelp reviews are really truthful. I had the same concerns when I agreed to hire Counter Tops and More. Well David just finished installing the granite on a vanity that I installed and I can truthfully say the whole experience was positive. I do most of the work on my home so I have experience with construction projects and can judge if trade people know what they are doing. Watching Dave do his work was an educational experience as to how experienced one has to be to work with stone. Dave did a quality job, was fast (in fact never took a break until he was done) and was extremely accommodating when my wife wanted to customize parts of the installation. The granite looks great and the price was extremely fair. In addition, Dave has a very friendly personality. read more
