I can't stress enough the importance of doing your due diligence before having people come into your home for major renovation projects. First and foremost don't believe the hype and everything you see as advertised on social media, please make sure your checks and balances are properly aligned before hiring these non transparent "companies." Access all your available resources to verify they are legit and have the proper training/licensing requirements to preform the scope of work you are seeking. Nevertheless Victor and his team are on board and correcting the fundamental mistakes made, and our project cohesively looks 1000% better, it's unmatched, carefully crafted and it's not even complete yet! My husband and I are relieved and at peace knowing our investment/project will be done to the required standards and to the standards we expect and deserve as paying clients. Victor and his team have now worked on several projects in our home. There is a reason we call them time and time again. I believe the pictures I'm posting speak for themselves. We used them for a coffered ceiling in our family room, wainscoting in our living room, bedroom and entry way, new base boards, new window and door casings, new crown, new built in bookcases. I can not say enough positive things about Victor. I had a very troubling crown situation in my kitchen remodel with angled ceilings. Victor has a lot of expertise in what would look good and fits into a homes style and that shows. The finished crown looks amazing. Modern, clean and follows the right lines. We hired these guys to do some high level carpentry work in an expensive home. Vik claimed to have a "state of the art dust capture system" and would be super respectful of our home. While their work was good - not great - we had to micro manage them on a daily basis. They had absolutely NO respect for our home, it's contents, and the impact their delays/no-shows were having on our family. One of the workers would routinely just help himself to items in our refrigerator (the same worker who used family restrooms with signs clearly labeled "do not use"). They showed up with only 1/2 of the start of the art dust capture system that they promised - "repeatedly" stating that the rest of the unit was too expensive! Saw dust was everywhere in our entire home - not light dust but handfuls- handful's! "HANDFULS!" Moreover, they were completely disrespectful of our home. They damaged future, used bathrooms that we asked them not to (walking into them with their filthy work boots and using our family towels even though we had set aside a restroom specifically for them). Other companies would rent a porta potty - not these guys - too cheap). Rude and disrespectful. Especially Aaron. If Aaron is on your project - run away (he'll clean out your fridge, use your clean "do not use" bathrooms leaving them absolutely filthy, damage your furniture and create utter mess and mayhem - a complete bull in a China shop). Try to ask him a question while he's trashing your house? He'll say, "I don't know - talk to Vik - and he's not here." In the end, they just wanted to rush to finish. They would routinely cancel and not show up about every third day as they were trying to secure bids on other projects. Another Yelp reviewer said that V&V trim might be good for a "new" construction project (before anyone moves in). Perhaps - but steer clear if you want them to be respectful of your home that you live in. I truly didn't realize how disrespectful they were to my family and our home until we recently hired another carpenter who had the "proper" dust filtration system. They properly covered everything and were respectful of our home. After the project was done - they vacuumed and wiped everything down. The house was left in beautiful condition. When V&V trim left, it took THREE weeks to clean the entire house. Absolutely "everything" in the house needed to be washed and cleaned. The walls were even covered with saw dust! V&V trim are advertising in the home magazines for a reason. If they were that good - they wouldn't need to advertise. They may do a good job - not great - but they WILL trash your home in the process - especially if Aaron is on the job. Love that they only have 1/2 of the dust filtration system that they represented. So bad and so disrespectful. read more

Victor and his team did an absolutely magnificent job of installing a coffered ceiling in my bedroom. The project gave the master suite a sense of elegance and makes it a real retreat. Victor is incredibly professional and skilled, and performed safety updates that I didn't even know were an issue! In addition, Victor has a great eye and gives terrific advice, the project turned out exactly the way I wanted. Although they are very busy, the time to complete the project was very reasonable. Worked with with Aaron, JT, Victor, and one other guy from V & V Trim back in 2016. They are not all the same, they have specialties in their craft/projects. I have uploaded some photos. Some work required them to come back and redo a certain part a few times, which they did do. For the cookie cutter,homes, such as Toll, KB, etc homes, they are fine. If you have a custom home, shop accordingly. I liked the work and the clean up they did for my project/s Be warned, if Victor takes out the radial sander, you going have a mess everywhere, its unavoidable. read more

I cannot recommend this company. I first reached out to Victor months ago to estimate some work. He did so via email, and when I started asking him questions regarding the quote, I got no response. I attempted to reach out to him again a few weeks ago regarding another estimate; we spoke on the phone and I emailed him some pictures as requested, but got no feedback or response in regards to both the email, as well as texts. Judging by the pictures he posts, it looks like he does good trim work (which is why I reached out to him), but I have no choice but to give him a low rating based on his sales and customer service approach. Victor and his assistant just finished the crown moulding throughout my house and it looks great. Only took the team a day to install. And not only was their carpentry work excellent, but no dirt or dust in the house. Booking the job was pretty much all via text; making it super easy and from the time I texted "he won my bid" (one of many), he was here and done within a week. Victor is way out of his element doing any multi stage construction project. He worked on my home remodel, kitchen, doors, floors and cabinets and screwed up because he had no concept of how to stage/ read instructions for proper installation. His ignorance cost me thousands of dollars and I'm still living with substandard installation. He also pressures you to complete your project before he has all the material to do so (meaning he leaves it incomplete so he can be paid). The way he does this to to threaten to leave your project for another one he has in the pipeline. All in all this guy is all about maintaining his profit margin at the expense of doing the work he agreed to. I would avoid hiring him no matter how attractive his bid seems! read more

We didn't end up working with V&V trim on our project just because we decided to take a different approach, but I wanted to make sure to leave a review for them regardless because they were so helpful and communicative during the estimating process. As anyone working on renovation projects right now knows, it's sometimes a challenge to even get a call back from a vendor (and sometimes even when you do they just no-show for an estimate). Victor on the other hand was responsive, communicative, showed up when he said he would, and put time and effort into thinking about how to help us achieve what we were going for. I originally contacted Victor after seeing his positive Yelp reviews to request a quote to remodel a fireplace. Victor is very responsive and I appreciated his flexibility in working with my family's schedule for the initial meeting and throughout the whole project. Right away Victor had great ideas about our fireplace remodel, and after seeing examples of all of his other beautiful trim work, we expanded the project to also have our interior doors replaced and re-framed, crown moulding installed in several rooms and areas, replaced our baseboards and new framing of existing sliding doors. We selected Victor and Aaron to build a fireplace surround after seeing their photos on Craigslist and the reviews here on Yelp. These guys are craftsmen and are wonderful people as well. We had a wood stove for years but my wife always wanted a mantel so after struggling to figure it all out I was very glad to find V & V Trim. I already had a contractor doing a bathroom remodel and other work so he built a box to hold my fireplace. I worked out the dimensions and selected one of the fireplaces Victor and Aaron displayed on Craigslist. They came in the morning and by mid afternoon I had exactly what I was expecting and even more. This company installed about 250 feet of crown moulding in my condo two months ago. They are fast and efficient, and did an excellent job. When I contacted them, Victor replied quickly and we made an appointment. Shortly after the crew arrived and quickly installed the moulding.
