Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

The timelines did extend significantly beyond the original estimates, and I had to stay on top of the subcontractors to ensure the craftsmanship met my standards. It wasn't a hands-off experience, but because he is such an honest person to deal with and his pricing is so competitive, we got both projects to the finish line. A strong pick for those on a budget who don't mind being involved in the details. After working with many contractors in the Bay Area, I've found that the alternative is usually someone charging much more who promises a turnkey experience but can't guarantee it either. Knowing that tradeoff, I would hire Jay again - and already have.

What was going on and what was happening if I had any concerns, he addressed them immediately and make sure that they met my expectations. I would use Wise Builders again and I would request Marc to be my project manager again on any future jobs that I had. He worked really well with our designer Jocelyn, I appreciated having a designer. Having a designer to bounce ideas off have her expertise on fixtures and toilets was amazing. Jocelyn did an excellent job working with me and when my daughter had some changes to this design, she was very receptive to those changes and helped me update the changes in our design The only thing that could have been better is, if the tile supplier had communicated with Marc that the tile for the guest shower floor was backlogged. Marc worked really hard to expedite the tile and was in communication with me along that process. In order to give us options besides waiting for the tile, Jocelyn, our designer gave us an alternative tile. Looking at the tile floor now I like it better than what I had originally chosen. I have done other remodeling projects and I would have to say that working with Marc has probably been one of the easiest remodeling projects that I have done. I appreciated that I did not have to be so hands-on in the project because I trusted that Marc would get it done.

He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

This is our first home and the first major renovation project we've undertaken, so we were a little apprehensive going into the process. We ultimately decided to expand the project into a full remodel, and even with the additional scope, the updated price remained very reasonable and close to what we had originally expected to spend. Once the project started, everything moved quickly and smoothly through each phase. Communication was timely and responsive, which helped keep the project moving efficiently from start to finish. Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. His pricing was reasonable and he quickly scheduled the work. He completed a very neat and quality job quickly and while keeping us updated through the process. First, when he visited a couple of different Lowes stores to find the specific wood we wanted for flooring and brought it to the site. After the job was complete, he fixed the garbage disposal which had a screw badly latched in. Unreliable service... messed up my bathroom remodeling project. I'll places a special order 82 sf 12" by 24" tiles on Monday 5-17-24 the receptionist said it will arrive by the end of the week. On Friday I called the girl said"it's not here yet, Wait till next week" ..so I waited Next week came I called she said "sorry it not here yet" I told her you messed up my project schedule and my contractor is not happy with it, he can't just wait for the tiles to come ... if you don't have the tiles why did you make me pay the full amount at the beginnig ??? And then she said "next Monday.". - Next Monday was the 3rd week I called the girl said " the tiles are here tomorrow (Tuesday) tell your guy to pick them up in the afternoon." -Tuesday morning the girl receptionist called me saying there's something wrong...i don't have the tiles and told me to wait till the end of June..., Really another 24 days??? I got very upset because I have to pay my contractor extra money for holding him back from another job ... beside I had bought $600 designer the premium tiles floor go with go with the wall tiles u ordered from FL granite and marble. They are not returnable. After contacting the owner Felix. He apologized and kept saying it was not his store fault but the venders.. I told him even though it was not his fault he had a responsibility with the customers... I said "your store took my money for almost 3 weeks also I spent $600 at another store to buy the tiles to match your now what do I do the $600 tiles...I request he had to pay me half of my money $300 to compensate for my inconvenience and stress that his store caused...Felix refused!!! Now I have to deal with my contractor and place an other 2weeks order for a new tile. What a mess FL refunded my money.. for the order, that's is??? I have to loose my $600 for non refunded floor tiles.... it's fair. He failed to live up to his reputations. This is not ethical! The purpose of my review is to warn other customers about how this FG granite n marble store conducts their business so that they don't have to go thru bad experience like I had. This store doesn't care about the customer but themself... please stay away if you don't want to experience the headache . read more

We used FL Granite and Marble to replace our old Corian kitchen counters. They did a fantastic job and managed to remove the old countertops without damaging the tile backsplash, but for four or six tiles. Jhoana was delight to work with and made everything happen on time and on schedule. All of the installation crew was excellent and took their time to make sure everything fit properly around the undermount sink, cooktop and dishwasher. Felix came by to make sure all was in good order before they left the job site. They had to send a tile man to patch the row of tiles that had to be reset, and even that was a smooth process. We couldn't be happier with the result! Once we made a decision on the quartz, Jhoana called to have it delivered the next day, the cutouts and fabrication were done quickly and installation on-time. Have to say it was one of the most efficient and pleasant remodel experiences ever! Everything worked like clockwork. Can't think of one thing that wasn't to our satisfaction. read more

Felix is a very pleasant man, which makes business dealing easy. He visited to measure and picked up the granite for us, which I think is normal. We made an appointment to meet him at his shop in San Jose where we selected the cuts. He made suggestions which was very helpful as well as moved the pieces around so we could visual better. He is very confident about his work and quality. Certainly that is backed by the quality and attention to detail in the job. He lined up the pieces such that the transition at the joins was undetectable when moving your finger along the crack. I also think his prices were very reasonable. I've had granite installed many times in different locations, but I'll be calling Felix back for any future work I have. read more

My husband and I used Felix and his crew at FL Granite & Marble to install our countertops and backsplash in our kitchen. We got his name from Paul at Kitchen Reface Depot. The two companies worked well together, and we were extremely happy with their services. Felix came out to our house, took measurements, and provided a bid. He recommended several stone companies that had excellent selections. When we made our choices Felix helped to negotiate the prices down. When the cabinet work was ready, his team installed the plywood bases, stone slabs, and backsplash. The pieces were cut to exactly the right sizes and the edges all appeared seamless. My experience with Bay Stone Depot was extremely frustrating and disappointing…read more I purchased two stone slabs for my home, expecting premium quality and service given the price. Within weeks after installation, pit marks and dents began developing on the surface. Over the following months, additional defects continued to appear under normal use. When I reported the issue, Bay Stone initially acknowledged it as a quality concern but directed me to work directly with their supplier rather than handling it themselves. After months of follow-up, the supplier's representative inspected the slabs and offered replacement slabs. I then returned to Bay Stone to request some form of refund instead of replacement, since the cost of uninstalling and reinstalling the slabs makes the replacement offer impractical and financially unreasonable. Bay Stone indicated that a refund might be possible but claimed the supplier required the original slabs to be returned. That was not what I had been told. After I confirmed with the supplier that returning the originals was not required, Bay Stone changed its position. The manager, Kimberley, told me it was "not scientifically possible" for pit marks to develop after installation and suggested I should have identified the issue at delivery. I provided multiple dated photos showing the progression of the defects. After that, my messages went unanswered. What stood out most was the lack of ownership and empathy. Kimberley was not apologetic and did not appear interested in finding a practical resolution. Instead, responsibility was repeatedly shifted, and ultimately, the issue was attributed to me for not raising it at delivery, even though the slabs appeared fine at that time. It felt as though once payment was made, accountability ended. When customers pay premium prices, they expect both quality materials and meaningful support if something goes wrong. In my case, that expectation was not met.

New to the west coast, and new home homeowners, we had to start from scratch with finding contractors to update our home. We started with the kitchen, and I was referred to several granite fabricators by Bedrosians, where we were choosing our granite. I called A Touch of Stone, and spoke with Mary, who was extremely professional, warm and explained the whole process of choosing the stone, template and layout process. She even emailed me a summary sheet of the entire process. I had a quote within two days. I did my due diligence and got about 5 other quotes. Every other contractor I communicated with was no where nearly as professional and they were either at the same coast or higher than A Touch of Stone. It was clear that going with Touch was the best choice. There was some hold up with my granite selection at Bedrosians, and because the owner of A Touch of Stone (Tony) has such a great reputation, he pulled some strings and helped speed up the time frame in which my granite was delivered. (this was huge for me as our kitchen was already demoed and we had plywood for countertops. Very difficult- esp with 2 young kids) I met Tony and Mary in person when I went to the shop for the layout process. (basically, laying out the template of the counters and backsplash on the slabs so you can choose exactly where you want particular veins and markings within your kitchen or bath) the first thing Tony suggested was to change my edging choice. He suggested a more upscale look (which I thought I couldn't afford) and told me it would cost the same as my original choice. I was thrilled. Tony took ample time with me to layout the counters and made sure I understood exactly what he was doing through the entire process. I also worked with two of his crew, Miguel and Adrian- great professionals who clearly take such pride in their work. They even left me a few extra pieces of granite which I can use for a hot plate or similar. I will definitely call A Touch of Stone when we do our bathrooms over. This company went above and beyond, and my kitchen looks fantastic!!!

The quality of the cabinets is very high and they look great! We used a pretty wide array of finishes, from glossy and matte Mirlux finishes to Cleaf wood-based panels in multiple varieties. Our project included bi-fold upper cabinets, appliance garages, a printer drawer, a charging drawer for a hair dryer, coffee center with pocket doors, and so on. They turned out great. There were some hiccups along the way that initially caused some frustration - these were limited to a few areas, but we felt the day to day impact of these was hard to just ignore. What really impressed me about owners David and Tammy (and the rest of the Woodenbridge team) was their openness to discuss our concerns in a very constructive and solution-focused manner. There was never any finger pointing or deflection - just a focus on what could be done to get things as right as possible. As a result, virtually all of our concerns were addressed through their willingness to listen, suggest possible resolutions, and implement what we mutually agreed would be the best way forward. This type of positive can-do attitude and sincere desire to reach the highest level of customer satisfaction is really rare these days. They also emphasize their lifetime warranty and willingness to come out and adjust things as things inevitably become misaligned and need tweaking. As a result you feel confidence that you have a long-term partner in keeping your cabinets performing in top shape for the long term. My "advice" in any extensive cabinet project is to take your time, double-check all the details, and over-communicate as needed to make sure everyone is on the same page. There are enough potential gotchas and options that it's best to align often to avoid potential misunderstandings. The bottom-line is that we're very pleased with how the cabinets in our project turned out, have a healthy respect and trust in Woodenbridge as a result of the process we went through together, and would be happy to use them again in a future project.
