Needed to get carpet replaced upstairs and Aram did a wonderful job since the first day we talked. I shopped around first and Aram's pricing is as competitive, but I chose him because his attention to detail compared to others. He pointed out things I needed to be wary of, and gave his honest opinion when he thinks something won't look good. We decided to go with Coretec Stockton Oak, and we're very satisfied with the results. Will definitely be working with Aram again when I need my downstairs done.

Highly recommend Aram and his team. They replaced carpet with engineered wood on my second floor and stairs. Aram was easy to work with from the beginning; he provides a lot of information up front so you can make informed decisions. Since I had not decided on the planks yet, he suggested I let him know what I was leaning towards before I purchase it so he can tell me what the implications would be for installation and cost. Aram gave a very detailed quote. The other 2 quotes I received were per sq ft; I was able to use Aram's itemized quote to ask questions about exactly what was included in other quotes and what wasn't. At the end of the day Aram's number was about the same as the others. I went with him because he was referred to me by family and the positive reviews on Yelp. Aram's team is also detail oriented, professional, and kind. We encountered a few issues during the process - Aram was very upfront when he needed to increase the quote and when he didn't. He also has a great eye from design so little details like the stair skirt or how his team built the stairs look impeccable (he even made a recommendation about painting my kitchen that looked great at the end). I fully plan on using 1StopFloors again for future projects.

I reached out to several companies through Yelp and met with them to ascertain who would be the best fit for us. We had carpeting that needed to be removed after suffering through several foster puppies accidents. No amount of professional carpet cleaning was solving the problem of stains. Aram from 1StopFloors responded and came over to meet us. Most of our house has hardwood floors and some have wood finish veneer. We wanted a color match to the hardwood sections of the house. As luck would have it, Aram had a perfect match. I will say, these guys came back the most expensive of all the quotes we got, but there were some aspects of his thought process that made the most sense. He has a keen eye for aesthetics and what works best. When you're not sure, it helps to have someone with a good grasp of what is needed to make a decision. Once we identified what needed to be done, the process began. We chose pre finished wood for the floors that matched our existing flooring in the main part of the house. Aram and his guys delivered the wood the week before, leaving it to acclimate in the house. As we have younger kids and pets, we decided to not be around while the work was getting done. They came in on Monday morning to start the work and I was kept updated with the progress through it all. We did two large rooms and two corridors. By Friday evening they were done, cleaned up and out. Only issue we had, through no fault of theirs was an unsightly connection between the brick fireplace and the floor. There was a gap that really wasn't aesthetically pleasing, which Aram and his guys agreed with. One of them came back the next morning and finished it off with caulking and paint to look absolutely perfect. Overall, the service with 1StopFloors was excellent and it was very easy to deal with the company. Would highly recommend them if you're looking for a seamless experience.

I got a referral for 1StopFloors from a friend. I had high expectations based on the referral, but they still delivered above and beyond. My project involved fixing and refinishing the hardwood floors upstairs and downstairs, electrical work, adding a small wall, moving the access to the attic, and room re-painting. Everything was done perfectly to the specs, exactly on time despite a need to coordinate so many jobs, and at a very fair price. Timing was very important to me because I expected a furniture delivery, and needed to complete the work before then. Aram communicated clearly when each piece of work is going to happen, responded to my questions and I felt in control during the remodeling. Their staff are highly professional, efficient and friendly. It's been a pleasure to work with the team, and I'm happy with the process just as well as with the results. I'll definitely come back to 1StopFloors for any future remodeling I would plan.

This was our floor before. Flooring was coming up, bubbling, and boring.

I would like to lay engineer hardwood floor over my kitchen and living room floors but I don't want to remove my tile? Is it possible to lay it over the tile? Some tell me it's not possible and others tell it's possible . Which one is it?

Potentially you can do a floating installation and go over the existing tile if the heights work. Obviously can NOT do a nail or glue down installation which is more preferred method for hardwood installation.

Overall the experience was very good; Elijah and Bryan were super friendly and responsive. Eli was very patient and accommodating as we discussed several different potential change orders, from new windows to painting, to other misc. things that popped up. Bryan Luna was especially a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and proactivity to solve any little thing I mentioned was definitely the highlight of working with Prime. Their contracted electrician, Hector, was great as well. I also think they did a great job building out a cabinet to fit our freezer next to the matching fridge. Their master carpenter managed to salvage our existing wood to make it match perfectly. Definitely better than what I'd expect from even a carpentry specialty contractor. I will mention that it wasn't without some snags. Prime deals in volume so they're very busy. I think because I had delays in sourcing a freezer I ended up not getting a dedicated project manager for some time. We had timeline issues made worse with holidays. This caused cascading delays which inevitably pushed back my move in date a few weeks. When I finally did get a new project manager, they ghosted me (later on I found out they had a family emergency). Eli had to step in again to help. Another thing is that their pricing is quite opaque. The estimate will break down prices by milestones, but they repeated told me that it's not a valuation of the milestone itself. This made it nigh impossible to understand if I wanted to contract out specific pieces of the project (e.g. flooring). Design was OK. I felt that the designer was very busy. Sometimes very responsive (5min replies), sometimes not responsive at all (no reply). I wish I had a better, more thorough back-and-forth session about the intricacies of the design. But we made do. Ultimately, the designer made a render and helped point us to some vendors, but from there we had to make our own selection alone (cabinets, handles, pendant lights, faucets, etc.). I did appreciate her presence when we picked out countertops, though. All in all, I think this was a 4.5 star job, but I'm rounding to 5 because of Eli and Bryan :)

Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.

We were initially expecting the project to take around six months, but it was completed in just four months--a remarkable achievement in timeline management. This was very critical factor for us right from the begining. The quality of the work and the process itself were both excellent. We continued to live in the house during the renovation, and Elya's team maintained continuous checkpoints at various stages, meaning there were absolutely no major surprises.
