We had an amazing experience from start to finish! We needed to update our old floors and chose a beautiful white oak hardwood to match our kitchen cabinets. Our sales consultant, Diana, was incredibly patient and helped us compare multiple options without any pressure. The installation crew arrived right on time, worked efficiently, and left the house spotless. They paid close attention to the transitions between rooms and the baseboards look seamless. The communication was excellent throughout the entire process--they finished the project right on schedule and stuck strictly to the initial estimate. If you want high-quality flooring and a stress-free project, I highly recommend asking for Diana the store manager. read more

This is one of the worst stores I've ever shopped at. The warehouse employee, Luis, treats customers with complete disrespect. He takes no responsibility for problems, has an arrogant attitude, and provides terrible customer service. If you value being treated professionally and respectfully, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere and finding a store that actually cares about its customers. read more

Diana the store manager at The Floor Store was so uninterested in helping me. She was actually very rude and we were ready to make a purchase but she was so uninterested that I decided to go elsewhere. I'm surprised at her professionalism for being a "store manager". read more

This is an edit to my initial review and response to mgr's reply. 1). My experience was with the Sunnyvale store. Others may operate differently than this one. 2) It was nice to hear that Diana, the mgr, contacted the mfg regarding the odor which was making my dtr feel ill, but she never got back to me after doing so! I still don't know what their response was! Even if the mfr had nothing else to offer to fix or expedite the off-gassing, she should have called me back. This is exactly the issue I wrote about earlier, poor follow through and consistently so. Good product and pricing are important, but poor customer service can kill the deal... read more

Floor store is amazing. There are so many great flooring selections that will fit any budget and style. I went in without knowing what I needed for my commercial space and Diana the manager was so helpful, educational, and patient! I really felt like I was shopping with a friend who only wants the best for you. Diana even let me take back samples for a bit to really make sure I feel good with the purchase. Thank you!!! Will be back read more

The service by Mary was excellent. Very knowledgeable. We ordered porcelain bathroom tile, but will return to order carpet. They have a large showroom with side parking. The price is so much less than we paid at another store. I called the other store and cancelled that order, plus a restocking fee of 30% and still have more than enough to pay what The Floor store charged. Plus, it's exactly what we wanted. read more

Diana was very friendly and helpful when I called to ask about flooring in mid Sept 2025. When the flooring I wanted to see in her showroom wasn't available, Diana offered to order samples for me, and said they would arrive within 1-2 weeks. I emailed her links to the flooring and my home address. After 2 weeks, I hadn't received any samples, so I called her, and she said she would email me. It's now more than 4 weeks, and I still haven't gotten an email from Diana and I have not received any flooring samples. Unfortunately my experience with Diana at Floor Store Sunnyvale was extremely unprofessional. If she wasn't able to order samples for me, she just needed to let me know and not leave me hanging. If you're looking for flooring, it's best to check other stores. read more

I cannot recommend Mary at The Floor Store enough! We had a leak from our dishwasher and needed some repairs to the flooring underneath it. I thought it was going to be a stressful project- finding a contractor and picking something that matched our old hardwood, but Mary made the process a breeze! She is so knowledgeable and patient, walking us through every step. Mary helped us pick a tile that complements our flooring and makes the kitchen look brand new! She helped us understand what products we could use to prevent damage if another leak occurs. When we are ready to replace the floors in the rest of our home, we will definitely be coming back to The Floor Store. Thank you, Mary and crew! read more

We purchased ceramic tile instead of porcelain by mistake. Jenn in customer service was nice enough to refund us, even though company policy states all sales are final. When we needed help, she was there for us. Can't thank you enough! read more

TLDR: Diana Cabrera at the Sunnyvale location is AMAZING! Super responsive Extremely knowledgeable A pleasure to work with Truly cares about her customers Patient & professional Gets you the best price! Go see her for the best flooring experience! Zero pressure! I had a water leak in my bathroom that ended up damaging my hardwood floors, and before I knew it, the entire downstairs flooring needed to be replaced. After visiting several flooring stores to explore my options, I made an appointment to meet with Diana, the store manager -- and I'm so glad I did! Diana took the time to walk me through the process and helped me choose the perfect LVP for my space. After some consideration, I also decided to replace my 30-year-old carpet, and Diana was incredibly helpful in explaining the importance of selecting high-quality flooring and padding. Her knowledge and expertise are unparalleled -- she's patient, thorough, and really knows the ins and outs of the flooring industry. Plus, she's super responsive and managed to get me scheduled for installation quickly! The installation teams were equally impressive. They were respectful of my home, worked efficiently, and left everything spotless once the job was done. My new floors and carpet have completely transformed my home and given it a fresh, modern look. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience, and Diana made the whole process seamless. Originally posted on my LinkedIn Profile; I was that impressed!! linkedin.com/in/chantel-san-nicolas-phr-799406120 ------------ While recently on medical leave, my home flooded, HOA/neighbor was attempting to extort me, my 50 year old condo kept falling apart...repair after repair. I was with loss of use for 5 months, but I had what I believed was enough to finish the repair out of pocket because of Homeowners Insurance was attempting to breach their contract. I was in a rented hotel room when Diana (Manager) said there was $9k of unintended labor and I panicked because I literally gave them my last dollar. I had been a customer of The Floor Store, Inc. for 6 years and had spent at least $20k at that point. Diana reached out to the Larry Flick and he okayed us having a promissory note. The moment the insurance check cleared, I paid the outstanding balance and threw the entire store a taco party for his entire team at the Sunnyvale Store. Strangers helped me when the people that I thought were in my corner completely turned their backs on me. Such a solid group of people with high quality material! All they do is rave about Kevin's work! Where I go in life, I can see myself popping in to see if you can ship and I won't care about shipping/cargo. You've earned my business and trust for life! read more

Had LVP put in several years ago in my downstairs area and noticed pulling up in our kitchen area, which had a slab under flooring. A small leak from our refrigerator added to the problem which allowed water under the flooring. Contacted the Floor Stoor and their installer came out to tell me that, essentially, it was my fault and they couldn't help. I pointed out that the pulling up extended to areas where there was NO water leak but I was just told that water "extends." The Floor Store simply offered to sell me more flooring (my original LVP was already out of production!) They suggested tile but that was what I had pulled up! They decided to hang their hat on a small water leak, blame me, and do nothing. I had an independent leak inspection done in my kitchen and nothing was found amiss. I then contacted an independent, local, ACTUAL professional installer and he immediately came out and inspected the floor, telling me that the slab floor in the kitchen was incorrectly prepped upon removal of the original tile for the LVP and that caused the LVP to not seal properly, allowing water to seep in. A little extra time is needed to prep the floor but it should absolutley be done. I will be getting a new, properly prepped floor next week, at my own expense of course. At the time the Floor Store was installing the kitchen LVP, one of the installers remarked to my son that they wanted to finish the floor quickly so as to be done by the end of the day. I never asked for that and would have preferred a properly completed floor. The Floor Store did not act in a professional, trustworthy or honorable manner and I cannot recommend this business. Do your research and go elsewhere. UPDATE: The floor was pulled up today and I now have definitve proof that little to no prep work was done to even out the floor. There were uneven areas that needed to be smoothed and leveled. This was not done at all. I have taken pictures and am considering filing an insurance claim. The only reason water got into the flooring was because no evening of the floor was done which resulted in the LVP not sitting level and sealing properly. I am beyond disappointed and pissed at being led to believe the entire problem was my fault and that I somehow allowed water to get beneath the planks. It should never have happened in the first place. Spend less on your commercials, Floor Store, and more on hiring installers that actually know what they are doing. read more

Deciding to put in a new wood floor was a big decision. It took us over a year to wrestle with the questions about what's the right color? what's the right wood? will the installer be good? will it all be worth it? We finally decided on the Floor Store because of Diana and the most important answers to all the questions is that it was easy and it looks amazing! Diana was outstanding in working with and guiding us thru all the choices we had to make not just on the wood, baseboard, steps...but in dealing with the inevitable surprises found when the old floor was pulled up. Kevin and his installation team were exceptional. They put the extra effort into everything from working on the subfloor, to undercutting the floor around a fireplace heath so it wouldn't need molding, to flowing the baseboard around corners and vents. His attention to detail just makes the whole room sparkle. So happy we decided to get the floors and worked with Diana & Kevin. P.S. Larry, hold on to Diana and Kevin. They are both excellent and exceptional! read more

We are doing remodeling and needed to replace our carpet. The Floor Store had the closest match to our existing carpet. It was a much better match than the samples we saw at Home Depot and local carpet stores. We needed the carpet quite soon and we were surprised to hear that most places take up to 2 weeks since the carpet comes from out of state. My husband worked with Diana, store manager, to order the carpet we needed. She was very helpful and detail-oriented. She even came to our house to ensure we were ordering the correct amount of carpet. Diana worked so quickly that we were able to get our carpet within 4 days. We greatly appreciate her hard work and customer service. We would highly recommend The Floor Store! read more

I am writing to express our appreciation for the service we received from Avery Hicks (Sales and Design Consultant) at The Floor Store (TFS), location in Sunnyvale, CA. My husband and I were interested in buying a carpet for our family room. After visiting a few other companies, we arrived at TFS. Avery immediately acknowledged us and suggested we browse until he completed his time with another customer. Once he met with us, we told him what we thought we wanted. Not being sure ourselves and describing our room, unseen by Avery, we were surprised he was able to suggest and help us find exactly what we were looking for. He helped us determine the color, style, and brands that would meet our household needs. Kudos also to Diana (Store Manager) and the entire staff for their support in the purchase and installation process. But it's clear that the initial discussions with Avery Hicks, providing design knowledge and guidance, will remind us to return to TFS with our next project. BJ T. read more

Five stars for The Floor Store in Sunnyvale! I needed to do a remodel in preparation for a property sale. I walked in and spoke with Christopher Cruz, who expertly recommended an appropriate flooring product in my price range. Because I was preparing to sell a property I wanted to make sure that the product I selected was a material and color that would be modern and would appeal to buyers. I brought in the paint colors I had selected and Chris helped me to select flooring that complimented those colors. Chris helped me every step of the way from procurement, through delivery, through answering my endless questions. I had done some shopping around -- I went to the Home Depot and Lowes and selected flooring. But at The Floor Store I was able to get a BETTER PRODUCT for a LOWER PRICE. And I got to work with an organization that has great customer service and whom I could call on the phone and immediately talk to someone who knew my account and could help me. Not true, ever, with the Home Depot and Lowes. I chose LVP Builder's Choice 2.0 "Aged Hickory," an in-stock item. Here are a few photos. read more

We loved loved loved working with Diana, the manager at the Floor Store in Sunnyvale. She made the entire process of picking out carpeting for our home so easy. Just received my LVP from the Floor Store, Sunnyvale, after ordering it yesterday. The very nice delivery man, Tito, even carried the 40 boxes into my garage. I had been to both "big box" building supply stores (and studied LVP online) and still couldn't figure out what I needed for my 1000 sq ft water damaged basement. After 2 weeks, I was really frustrated about the lack of progress in my search. I saw an ad for the Floor Store and thought, "why didn't I think of that before now..." Once there, Avery helped me understand the mechanics of LVP and I could then easily pick a good quality flooring material...much better than the samples I had taken from the other stores. During our recent remodel, we went to several flooring businesses but decided to use the Floor Store in Sunnyvale. It was originally recommended by our contractor. The staff was very helpful in helping us pick the right product for our home. We replaced the carpeting in all the bedrooms, hallway, stairs, and family room. Diana Cabrera the manager and Berto Lopez were especially helpful and responded quickly to any questions. After the original order, we decided to add another room and they were able to quickly supply the materials. I highly recommend this business for flooring. read more

The floor looks great! However, as I discovered afterwards, Vinyl plank flooring underlayment is a crucial component for a high-quality and long-lasting vinyl flooring installation. It should have been included in the contract and not added as a surprise when the old cork floor was removed. While the contract states that unforeseen conditions will be extra, I argued that should not have been the case with this flooring. The cost of labor and 1/4" plywood underlayment for an area of 156 square feet was negotiated from $1650 to $850; Diana deducted the cost of labor. I received a "transaction receipt" when the work was completed, so I had to request a detailed invoice. I was charged for two items that were not used and I had to request reimbursement totaling $370. My mistake was to not get other bids for this job. read more

Unfortunately, my wife and I overpaid a lot for floorboards from The Floor Store. They rebrand other manufacturers' products as their own "The Floor Store collections", which made it difficult for us to do a proper price comparison. We ended up paying $18.99/sqft for one of these rebranded products, which upon delivery turned out to be a Monarch Plank product that we found for $9.19/sqft at another local retailer. We basically paid double the price we needed. (Fortunately we only needed a small quantity for a repair job.) I acknowledge that it was ultimately our own decision to make the purchase. Caveat emptor. Still, I really wish they were more transparent about the manufacturer and model of their rebranded products, so that we can make a fully informed decision. Although we had a good experience in their showroom and with their phone/email communications, the huge pricing discrepancy left us with a disappointingly sour taste in the end. read more
