Mike was great to work with from start to finish. From our first visit, he took the time to understand what we were looking for, shared his expertise, and made helpful recommendations based on our needs. He made everything from selecting the flooring to payment and delivery smooth and easy. He was flexible, kind, and very understanding, and his thoughtfulness really stood out to us. We visited several other flooring shops, but this shop had some options that we couldn't find anywhere else. They also had competitive pricing and a great variety of flooring. George and his team are true professionals when it comes to flooring installation. The quality of their work is excellent, and we absolutely love how everything turned out in the end. Their attention to detail really stands out--especially in the seamless baseboard connections and the precise leveling across the entire space. Our home originally had a mix of carpet, tile, marble, solid wood, and laminate--so converting everything to engineered wood throughout was no small challenge. But George and his team handled it beautifully. The final result is stunning, and every friend who visits compliments our new floors. Thank you, George, for the outstanding work! read more

Great experience with Floor Depot. They helped us replace old laminate floors with solid hardwood and the results are outstanding. George helped us with our selection, prepared our bid and scheduled the job. He is easy to work with, very helpful and kept all his commitments. The job finished ahead of schedule. Manuel led the installation team and did a fantastic job. His craftsmanship and attention to detail was impressive. Our sub-floor was creaky and far from level and Manuel did an amazing job layering and feathering plywood to make the surface completely level and solid before starting the hardwood installation. The hardwood went in flawlessly and the baseboard installation is perfect with no gaps. An impressive 5-star job overall. read more

We recently had flooring installations done at our home by George and his team from Floor Depot in San Jose, and we couldn't be more happier with the results! Talk about customer experience and they nailed it start to finish. Referred by a friend, we visited their shop to browse materials and found plenty of options in engineered flooring, vinyl, and laminate. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, helping us understand the pros and cons, trends, and pricing of each option. Next, George came over to our house and was very easy to talk to. He understood our needs, suggested improvements we hadn't thought of, and did a thorough measurement of the entire house. The estimate was competitive, and once we agreed, a detailed contract was sent with all costs listed, including any additional costs that we may incur due to uneven flooring. I appreciated this heads-up that set our expectations from the start. Due to the holiday season, George was upfront about work starting in January 2025 and was flexible when we had to reschedule due to a personal reason. Once the work began, everything worked like clockwork. The hardwood flooring was installed by two professionals(Emanuel & his brother) who were punctual, courteous and thorough. Their attention to detail was impressive, and they left the house spotless, moving back all the furniture and cleaning up all the work area. After the hardwood flooring, we replaced the carpet. I was amazed at how just two people handled everything--removal of furniture, old carpet, and installing the new carpet all in a single day! George regularly followed up with visits to do a quality check to ensure everything was as per our expectations, demonstrating their commitment to excellence. All in all, George and his team were professional, delivered what they promised within the timelines, responsive and detail oriented. We love our new floors. I would not hesitate to recommend or hire them for any future work. Thank you, George and Floor Depot, for a fantastic stress-free job! read more

Floor Depot was outstanding from my first visit a year ago when I was in the planning stage to this year when I had all my carpets removed with ultra vinyl installed in the family room and the hard wood floors under the carpet in the rest of the house refinished. From the salesmen in the show room to the owner of Remodel Masters who oversaw the project to the Foreman and helper who masterfully laid the floors and beautifully brought our hardwood floors back to new. We had added to our home so Antonio and Carlos had to add wood and make it blend in to the original wood pattern. All of the people we dealt with in this business were respectful, helpful, hardworking, talented and just all-around nice people. I truly didn't mind having them in my home. The price was appropriate and fair for the workmanship and commitment. Thank you for your dedication to completing a job as if it were your home. read more

We spent a lot of time looking for and researching the right store and contractor to install the flooring in our home. We quickly realized that the big box stores were never going to be able to provide the quality and lack the skills to provide the type of flooring we wanted. We also have a multi level house and required custom work especially on the stairs as we wanted to change out the aged looked as part of the install. That's when we found fFoor Depot and their owner George. The store had a wide selection of flooring at a reasonable price (and installation) and the staff there were helpful without any pressure involved in the sales process. We were interested in wood flooring and carpet and they sell and install both. The floor installers and George are very knowledgeable in the work they do, (for example making sure the sub floor is level before installing the wood planks), they are also very careful and really take their time to make sure the quality level is very high in what they are doing. The whole installation process took around 4 weeks once they started, overall we had a great experience. George is very approachable and always willing to help answer any questions we had during the install process. If there's any criticism it would be that they could be a little more efficient with their time and work faster, but as mentioned above, they take their time to make sure the quality of their work remains high. I would definitely recommend floor store if u are looking to have new flooring installed. read more

I would highly recommend George and his crew at Floor Depot and Remodel Masters. They did a wonderful job renovating my kitchen, which was really old and outdated, requiring upgrades for electrical work and plumbing, in addition to cabinets, countertops and flooring. Everyone involved was professional, courteous, did what they promised, and finished the job relatively quickly so I didn't have to be without a kitchen for too long. I found Floor Depot through Yelp and gave them a call to learn more about various options to install luxury vinyl plank (LVP) for the bathrooms and staircase, and decided to also do a number of bedrooms. I spoke with Michael, who was very informative and I came in to the office. Very quickly, he showed me various options based on what I was looking for and helped me efficiently decide what was the best fit, for families, children, and pets. He gave me pros and cons and various price ranges and style themes and thickness quality. I felt very comfortable after meeting with him that I had selected the best option. From there, I met with George on site who completed measurements and took me through the installation process and timelines. From there, he got his team of three to complete the project within the expected target time. The team was very easy to work with and did a very quality job. I knew I would be happy, but they surpassed my expectations. They finish sooner, but the workmanship was two thumbs up. From the installation to the colors and the grains to the baseboards. The house looks like a brand new home! Would definitely recommend! read more

We recently had Floor Depot replace the old carpet in our family room by extending the previously installed bamboo from the kitchen/hallway. We were concerned that the transition from the old to new flooring would be noticeable, and that the flooring around the stone hearth would leave a gap due to its irregular edges. The installation team did a fantastic job overall and in particular made both the transition and the flooring around the hearth to be perfect. read more

In truth, five stars isn't enough. I am SO incredibly impressed with their customer service. This review is based on shopping for flooring, and not for installation. I'm a single woman and I greatly appreciate that I wasn't "talked down to" or given the "hey, little lady" treatment. Nothing grinds me more. Instead, I was treated with respect. Cole assisted me with the selection of the flooring, and Mike took care of the sale. In fact, Mike remembered which flooring sample I took home, which was impressive because that means he was paying attention. He was always easy to talk to which again was greatly appreciated. Not that I had a lot of questions, but it was clear that he was there to help. Picking up the flooring there was easy; they loaded it onto the truck for us. But the thing that got me was that Mike called me as I was on my way home after having picked up the flooring and apologized that because of being on a phone call, he wasn't available to help me with the pick-up. It's a sad commentary on businesses these days but I can't recall a time where I experienced that level of true customer care. read more

Found George through Yelp to do a continuation of flooring on two levels and staircase tread and risers. Because of supply issues it took maybe three months for Floor Depot to get the flooring we were looking for but he let us know that from the beginning. He gave a quote that was ultimately accurate, and also finished on schedule (a week). Seamless transition to rest of the flooring in the kitchen. Very nice staircase landing work. The team of contractors paid good attention to detail on the last day of cleanup. There was some damage to walls and side baseboards that they mostly addressed. They got rid of most of the glue that seeped out of the flooring done on the stairs and offered to come back if anymore glue seeped out. I highly recommend this company! It took us over a year to find this beautiful engineered wood from Floor Depot. Work started in December 2024 and from day one the company was very attentive to our needs. The installers showed up at 8:30 a.m. everyday like clockwork. They had to demolish carpet & 2 types of tile and level the floor before starting to put down the wood. Very professional & detail oriented. They also did an excellent job re-doing the tile around our fireplace. We never had a problem communicating with George or the installers. They were able to keep our refrigerator inside the house so that we could access it at night, as we lived exclusively upstairs for 11 days. They painted and installed our baseboards right up to Christmas Eve day. They went above and beyond for us! The cost was better than other big-name flooring companies we had considered; and the selection was better. When people come into our home, they want to know what company did the work. I am very happy to recommend them. thank you, George and the crew for the fabulous work to help make our home beautiful ! read more

I purchased my LVP flooring from Floor Depot, which was referred to me by my general contractor. They have a large selection of flooring but the showroom is very small and if there was an organizational schema I couldn't crack the code. However, their sales staff is attentive, knowledgeable and understood what I was looking for even when I couldn't verbalize it. They helped me find the perfect floor even though the best I could do was say things like: "This is nice but I'm looking for something that's fake but doesn't look fake" or "This is pretty but there's something... but I can't explain it" or (click of my tongue against my teeth with a heavy sigh) "I don't know, this color is too... I don't know how to explain it." They let me take samples home so I could see what they would look like in my house. However, I'm a visual person so looking at an approximate 2-1/2' piece of flooring didn't give me any idea of what the end product would look like. The end result is awesome (see pic) and I'm happy I have a fake wood floor that actually looks and feels like wood. There was a couple weeks' delivery delay (normal during covid), but they notified me promptly. Nice selection of flooring, wide range of colors, reasonable prices, helpful staff - what's not to like? read more

Exceptional service, quality, and follow through. I can't recommend George and the team at Floor Depot highly enough. After getting over sticker shock from a quote for full flooring replacement from our kitchen contractor, I messaged George to install LVP flooring. Although he didn't carry our preferred material in stock, he ordered it and held while I waited (months!) for my contractor to be ready. When the week came, we gritted our teeth for what we thought would be the most disruptive part of our kitchen remodel, going in to all the bedrooms. How nice to be so wrong! George was ready when he said he'd be, even after I was forced to reschedule him twice. His team was professional, clean, and did high quality work. They finished in exactly the time they told us, and blew us away with the quality of the finishing details. They pulled up the old flooring, leveled the subfloor, addressed some squeaky spots, laid down the new planks, and replaced and painted baseboards. They moved all the furniture back. And came back twice for detail work around baseboards, and to add trim around doors for a clean look. The entire house is transformed. The results are stunning. It wasn't cheap -- but it was ~60% less than our kitchen contractor quoted! I would recommend Floor Depot to anyone. read more

I bought 5 rolls of poly film underlayment for LVP flooring. Good and friendly service and reasonable price.

I had a very positive experience working with Floor Depot. Unlike my experience in some of the other local flooring places, sales associate Mike actually wanted to work with me and sent me home with flooring samples the day we met. George came to my place within a day or so to take measurements and led the rest of the project, managing to schedule the work in the very narrow window I had in between the ordering the flooring and when I was due to go back to work. The two workmen were excellent--hard-working, knowledgeable, and communicative when issues arose. I was having my living and dining room laminate replaced with luxury vinyl tile, and the guys managed to get the job done in two days even after we discovered that they had to do quite a bit of work to level my underfloor (I already knew it wasn't level). I heartily recommend hiring Floor Depot for your next flooring job! read more

We so much appreciate the professionalism of his installation team. Also had a great experience with his team in the store as well. I received several quotes from various flooring vendors. My choice to go with Floor Depot was a very easy one. When I first called and spoke with Cole, I was immediately impressed. His knowledge about flooring, including flooring type and installation, was very impressive. He took about 45 minutes of his day to explain to me my options. This was all before I even received a quote. We set up an appointment to receive an estimate. The estimator showed up on time and was very professional. When the work began the crew that was assigned to our project were extremely kind and professional, showed up every single day, moved our heavy furniture for us out of the way, worked very hard and their clean up was amazing. They did an absolutely perfect job. During the project I worked with George. George is truly a professional and was always available for my questions. When my husband and I purchased our home, we knew we needed to get our kitchen floors fixed (we had shifting tiles with broken and missing grout lines). We dragged our feet because we didn't know where to start. Fast forward several years later (when we were a little less house-poor, lol), I stumbled across Floor Depot by chance. I worked with Cole and he took the time to explain the differences between SPC and WPC flooring, and patiently answered about 100 more questions. I wasn't ready to take the plunge just yet but knew I would absolutely come back based on first impressions. Once I was ready to gift my family new kitchen floors, we got the ball rolling with picking out samples and scheduling for George to come out to inspect my floors and get measurements. My kitchen was approximately 200sqft and although considered a small project, Cole and George were willing to squeeze me in their busy schedule to get their crew out to complete the project. Several things I observed and really appreciated: 1. George removed his shoes upon entering my home - without being asked! (he is the FIRST one to ever do that! Thank you!!) 2. On Demo day, the construction team arrived on time and spent time draping my cabinets and kitchen entry way with plastic to keep dust out. 3. George came by several times throughout the construction phase as well as once the floors were completed to meticulously inspect the work. 4. You can tell that George, Cole (and the rest of the Floor Depot team) really stand by their work and deliver quality work and materials. They aren't sleazy people. 5. Cole was great at communicating updates and plan of action 6. Had I have known how simple and easy the process was to fix my floors, I wish I had done this years ago! I would absolutely recommend this Business to anyone considering getting their floors done. Hopefully someday when I'm ready to upgrade the rest of my existing floors, I would absolutely come back in a heartbeat. The only downside is that now with my upgraded kitchen floors, it puts the rest of my home's floor to shame. read more

What an amazing business! I called Floor Depot out of desperation to find a certain type of flooring that was used in my home nearly two years ago. I was in need of only two boxes to repair a section after a fireplace remodel. I had called five different stores without any luck or positive customer service. When I called Floor Depot, Mike was so patient. I didn't even have an item number, simply a description, and he was able to find my product and place my order. Phone calls, texts and emails were kindly written, and their follow up was top notch. Pickup was a breeze and they even loaded the boxes into the back of my car. I greatly appreciate a well run, customer focused small business with kind employees who are genuinely helpful! All around a wonderful experience with Floor Depot! read more

Ten stars! Summary: George and his crew (2 guys) did an excellent job, no squeaks, and installation was quality. Price was competitive or might have been the cheapest. Longer review: I had 1/4" maple hardwood floors, carpet, and old hardwood - so three different types of flooring. I wanted a clean look with no texture nor grooves (because in my past house, it was hard to clean the cracks when pasta sauce fell in it for instance). The options I pondered were: sand the existing floors and use a tint. But we had the carpet area that had to be pulled out and even and I was worried things wouldn't match. Plus the house already had two other types of hardwood. Other option was to rip everything out and just replace with vinyl but I heard hardwood floors sell better. So in the end, decided to put vinyl plank on top of everything (it was cheaper than hardwood and there wasn't a hardwood design I liked). I wanted to keep my existing baseboards (mostly didn't want to reinstall and repaint) and keep the existing hardwood. I met with four other contractors who all told me to rip everything out and start new. (George worked with me on my criteria.) The visit to the store was excellent, Edvard was patient and answered my questions (first time newbie on floors), plus Floor Depot was the only store with the type of floor I was looking for. The brightest floor with no texture nor grooves. (I went to Floor & Decor plus about 5 other floor stores around Junction Rd.) George came by and was efficient with measuring (very fast actually). He sent me a detailed quote for materials and a separate one for installation. It listed everything in detail (unlike the other ballpark quotes I received). Once I confirmed we wanted to move ahead, I got a Quickbooks invoice to pay the deposit (and the final bills, split in two). On the installation date, George's team came by and had a long lumber stick they used to measure the levelness of the existing floor. I had no idea how uneven the floors were! George also walked across the floor and pointed out where the squeaks were. His team put (concrete?) to even out the floor first and then put plywood on top. His poor team worked until 8pm on some nights and my house has no AC in the summer. His team was still smiling though! Because of the extra height on the floor (cement and plywood), his team shaved the bottom doors and made sure they all closed properly. When all was done, it looked excellent and George did a walkthrough with me. I pointed out a few minor things and his crew came by the next day to fix things. Side note: I mentioned to George that I wanted to do other home remodeling items but didn't have a contractor. George brought two contractors to look at windows. I didn't hire the window guys but really appreciate George going above his current job responsibility to help me out. Attaching various photos from start to end. I think it took around 1-2 weeks total for installation. I'm glad I went with George and not the other contractors. I'm not sure they would have taken so much care and pride in their work as George's team did. read more
