It's been a few years since the demo and installation of granite in our house, and I am still smile when I see my counters. The service was on time and the work was excellent! They somehow were able to avoid the ugliest part of the slab and use the best looking parts. There have been no problems. Counters are level and there are no cracks. My hint is to choose a slab pattern that hides stains and spills. I highly recommend Tiles Warehouse in Concord! read more

I ordered my bathroom tile from this place. At the bottom of the pallet there were 4 large broken tiles. The owner blamed my contractor on breaking them even though I told him I watched my contractor carry the boxes in my garage very carefully. This owner will not check the tile before giving it to u. All boxes were still unopened and glued closed. I ended up ordering more of the same tile from another vendor because of that. Another really sketchy issue: during the order process I increased the amount of tile I needed. The owner used this opposite to try to tell me the price per sqft increased overnight! Really? Also, don't ask for any design advise. To him everything is a matter of personal opinion so he can't help you. Take your business somewhere else if you want consultation or accountability. read more

I would not recommend this place for anyone. The owner was not honest or ethical in his dealing with us. I was tired and trying to get the tile picked out, he told me one thing and did another. He is a fast talker but will gouge you at every turn. That do have some neat looking tile but you will pay for it and they won't even help you load it. Service is aweful and communication not honest. I asked for basic style doors and got the other style. He made it sound like it was my fault. Remember no returns allowed. He will not even admit he made the mistake. He also bragged about all his education and such. Oh don't take it wrong, he is polite and friendly and he does deal with quality material at a fair price. Just double check your order. UPDATE TO THE OWNER, lies hmmm, I do t think so, I have all of your texts to me still, reaffirming all of my statements, it is no wonder your business only has 3.5 stars. You are a horrible businessman and human being for that matter. So honorable of you to comment on your customer reviews that they are liars etc. Open your eyes to the truth, you shouldn't be in business when you treat people like crap.... Good Luck!!! So where do I begin! The owner was very nice and polite, he helped my husband and I pick out tiles for our bathroom remodel that both of us could agree on. I being a conscious shopper had a budget in mind, so he discounted our purchase and we paid in full around 1600.00 for shower wall and floor tiles... 10 to 13 days for our tiles to arrive... After a full week the owner texts me that our floor tiles are discontinued, after one week of full payment and ordering? I agreed for the next best thing as he text me a pic of a different color, but my husband was not so understanding and was quite upset that we were just being told that our tile was discontinued. The owner and I went back and forth, my husband even said forget it cancel the entire order, but I insisted not to cancel as I still wanted my walls tiles that I paid for in full. The owner then proceeded to play word games with me as if I were a uneducated woman, words like there are no returns or refunds for the wall tiles but I will gladly cancel your order! I told him NO do not cancel my order, I still want my tiles, but I will be in for my refund for the floor tiles that were discontinued. The day I went in for my refund my wall tiles had just arrived, so my sister and I had to load my tiles in the back of my vehicle, he did mention not to stack them, so we put each carton in sideways as he suggested. My contractor began to move the boxes and did stack them three high, but as he started to open each carton one by one he found a total of seven broken tiles and one box was cracked completely down the middle, all hidden from box packaging. He has been in construction for 30 years and this is not his first todI called the owner and he said your contractor must have broke them because these tiles are inspected and they inspect all tiles, when I picked up my tile I made the mistake not to inspect them myself, they were still plastic wrapped, taped and bound when my sister and I loaded each carton into my car after the owner cut the tape off etc. so obviously being inspected by the owner was not true as he stated to me, I took pictures and videos of my contractor and I opening the remaining cartons thankfully all were fine except an additional 3 tiles as we discovered while filming it. After I sent the owner the pics and videos and said you did not inspect my tiles he basically stopped communicating with me about the broken tiles. No sorry, no refund, no credit, he would not even answer me to purchase more. What a horrible experience and the owner should be ashamed of himself... There are freight insurances for damaged goods people but the owner basically told me I broke them, how insulting... I am sure there are some satisfied customers but we were treated like garbage. read more

The existing stone was travertine and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with the same type of stone or add some "pop" by using a more distinctive stone on the shelves. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but after reading a few of the ones for this business that were also bad, I felt compelled to share my story. Came in to this business with my wife a couple weeks ago looking for new counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms for the home we moved in to a couple months back. As soon as we told the guy working (Steven) that we were from Tracy he let out a little chuckle and told us there's a $1000 minimum to purchase from them and basically walked away and left us standing there in bewilderment. We took that as a sign of what was to come and didn't trust them from that point forward, so we left. We went here because online it looks like they're priced pretty well, but ended up going with another shop that probably ended up costing us a few hundred dollars extra. I'm not sure if the guy working at the time was having a bad day, week, month, life, but whoever owns this place needs to have a serious sit down with Steven and let him know that his demeanor was completely unacceptable. Apparently it's not the first time he's been extremely rude and condescending towards potential customers. read more

I recently spent almost $8,000 on tile and kitchen countertops at The Tile Warehouse. Covid delayed installing the tiles and I am just getting around to installing tiles today. However, I am one tile short. I went back to the tile warehouse and asked if I could buy the sample. Which is provided to The Tile Warehouse as a free sample. The owner refused my request even though I offered to pay for its replacement, even though I would have to buy a full box, even though I would have to pay for shipping from the east coast. Also keep in mind that he's the one who calculated the tile amount. He claimed that selling me the sample was unethical. Really? He should have given to me for free. read more

It is a rarity to find someone like Steven and his crew to work with. He was professional, courteous, caring, understanding, and punctual. His communication throughout the job was impeccable. He answered every text and every call (and I made a lot!) I made to him if not then and there a few minutes later. Always bearing a smile he helped us select the perfect slabs and edges to complement our designs. He is very patient and understanding. The install crew were at my house until 8pm making sure that everything was PERFECT!! The only seam in the whole huge countertop was invisible. The hand chipped edge turned out flawless and better than I could have ever hoped for. We also had Steven and his crew fab an intricate desktop cover and it fit perfect the first time with no modifications. It looks astounding!! If all of that wasn't enough, Steven showed the utmost integrity at the very end of the job. He had sold us at my request a bottle of sealer/cleaner for our new countertops. When he found out that there was a more cost effective avenue to purchase the sealer, he sent me a personal check for the full purchase amount of the sealer without me even asking and said he didn't feel right selling it to me and to keep the bottle as a parting gift!!! The value in coming to THIS business for your granite and slab needs is that they offer a remarkable selection of natural stones. Very exotic and interesting slabs which, frankly I haven't seen elsewhere. Steven, who runs the business is extremely knowledgeable and patient. We purchased the slabs when we were still framing and it was another six months before they could be cut and installed. Steven was very accommodating to my needs and let me choose where I wanted the cuts to be mad and which parts of which slabs I wanted to use. The installation crew was a dream. they were incredibly polite, thorough and good at what they did, not rushing anything even though on both days they worked until 7:00 p.m. I could tell they were getting hungry and tired - it was Friday night, and yet their attention to detail and the care they took to make sure every seam was right was extraordinary. We needed a smallish slab of granite for our master bath at the cabin. So they showed us their remnant stacks and we found the perfect beautiful piece. They didn't try to push us toward their larger slab stacks. I also bought stacked stone pieces for the backsplash. They have a good selection of natural stone. Karen was really helpful - when our ordered stone came in we were traveling and so busy with another project - she called me repeatedly to remind me it had come in. We just had our old tile countertop updated to a beautiful quartzite finish. This is a wonderful company to work with. The owner, Steven, is just so accommodating and absolutely wants to make your project a success. Steven was excellent at communication throughout our project and continually spoke with us to ensure we were happy as we progressed. The showroom is beautiful with a wide selection of various tiles and stone surfaces to choose from. We also purchased a new sink and faucet from Steven. His crew, Edwardo and Uriel, were super nice and extremely skilled. Our cabinet and trim required some modification to install the new sink but the crew quickly adapted to the situation and made perfect modifications to ensure a good installation. I was somewhat worried about the installation due to tight dimensions but Steven was confident and reassuring all would be fine--and it was. Steven also referred a great plumber to us for the reconnect of the plumbing-- JC Plumbing from Pinole #925 708-6647. Jason was just great also and I'll write a separate Yelp review for him. I barely ever write yelp reviews but this is definitely deserving of one! I started my search for new countertops and I got a lot of quotes...I mean a lot. I had my heart set on a calacatta quartz and I learned most vendors charge a similar price point per quartz slab. The biggest difference in price was in labor. I decided to go with Tiles Warehouse because Steven gave me the best vibe, the best price on labor, and the quickest turnaround time. Sounds too good to be true, right? Wrong! My beautiful new quartz countertops were installed before I knew it and I was thrilled! Steven and his installers were knowledgeable and professional and did a fantastic job! I was very happy with the final product! So, naturally, when I needed tile for my kitchen backsplash, I returned to Tiles Warehouse to check out Steven's tile. I showed him what I liked and he found something comparable and even gave me an amazing price on a beautiful, intricate marble herringbone! Unfortunately, I made the mistake of allowing someone with minimal tile experience to install the backsplash and it didn't turn out well. I was crushed. Enter Steven and David to the rescue! Steven came out and looked at my tile and assured me that they could remove the tile and install new tile correctly. Although I was concerned that my expectations were a little bit too high for this intricate marble tile, I decided to reorder the same tile and try again. David and his crew came out removed the old tile and did a beautiful job installing the new tile! I was so worried that I would regret redoing the tile, but my only regret is that I didn't let them do the tile the first time around! We shopped around quite a bit to find new countertops for our kitchen remodel. We were specifically looking for 3cm which gets extremely heavy for our oversized and odd shaped kitchen island that takes up almost an entire slab. Finding the right size for us and finding it in 3cm was no easy feat. We found the selection at Tiles Warehouse to be outstanding and the pricing to be the best we'd seen around! Steven helped us patiently as we browsed through his large collection to find just the right quartz style we were looking for. He put in quite a bit of effort to countlessly look up and call his distributors to check pricing and availability (which was affected by many due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Steven is a smart guy and explained everything well, and gave us lots of tips on the rest of our entire kitchen DIY renovation. He was even flexible with us adding an additional annex countertop to the kitchen at the last minute. Fabrication and installation were a breeze too, it seems he thoroughly vets the crew he works with. Ours were done by Eduardo and his team. Steven organized the entire process to be effortless and breeze for us. We looked at businesses which sold only slabs, some that sold only pre-made lengths, a few that only did fabrication, and a few which both sold granite and also did the fabrication. We visited Tiles Warehouse as they had done a family member's counters a few years ago and they both sell and do the fabrication/installation. Their inventory of granite slabs was not nearly as large as some other places but we really liked their selection. We picked out a granite which we love. Bought tile and stone for my fireplace and they told me it would be in 1 week from that day. On the 1 week mark I called to check status and no one ever picks up the phone! Has to call back 4 or 5 times and finally got someone on the line. I was shocked to hear my material still wasn't in, as I had my contractor scheduled to start the job the next day. The gal that works the showroom (can't remember her name) proceeds to tell me it will be in the next day close to the end of the day, which was a Friday. I went on SATURDAY, and I live about 30 min away, and guess what...still not there! We were pissed. How could you not give us a courtesy call to let us know it didn't arrive and save me a trip? Poor customer service. It was a holiday weekend so they wouldn't received it on Monday and now it puts us at Tuesday. My husband and I both work and going all the way to concord is not easy for us. The gal tells us she will personally deliver it to us on Tuesday so our contractor can start on Wed. Tuesday night rolls around and she is texting me saying she has to pick up her kids, then will come. Then she texts saying she has to feed her kids, and will be late. Then she texts saying it's so late can she come in the morning. Our contractor starts at 7-8am and I told her 9 am the next morning won't work. My husband was so pissed we ended up just getting a refund and went to Home Depot and got nearly the same product for HALF the cost!!
