I've been doing business with American Ace concord for years! Great stock of plumbing supplies and helpful, knowledgeable staff. I like the fact that it's an open shop, meaning I can go in, grab what I need and bring it to the front to ring up. Nothing is more irritating than being in a rush and waiting for some employee to disappear into the back warehouse and take his time grabbing your supplies. There is a learning curve to the layout, but once you have been there a few times, it's a much quicker system. This is my go-to supplier for my company's plumbing needs! read more

First visit - needed some plumbing supplies. Couldn't find what I needed but guy behind counter told me roughly where I could find them, didn't move off his stool but he was helpful enough. One weird thing was I couldn't see prices for anything, and I needed my phone light to see things near the back. But hey, I got what I needed which in my case was unavailable at HD or big box store. Would go again, but not going to be my go to place for service. read more

These guys are the worst. These guys literally have no problem telling you to go F yourself. I've had a few situations where I have waited on hold for over 30 min for no reason and today these guys picked up the phone.. we announced we Had emergency and only needed 4 simple connectors they could have left outside for us but no.... the dip on the phone Said they had no customers so they were closing early. And could not muster the energy to save our day. Worthless selfish bull shhhh guys that literally have no sense of customer service. Take a long walk off a short peer guys. Never again read more

American Ace Supply has the worst customer service and inexperienced counter persons, than any hardware supply that I've dealt with. When you first walk into the warehouse and up to the counter, the three counter persons just stare at you. When you ask if they carry a certain part, they respond by telling you to go into the warehouse shelves and look for what you need. Even though they are just sitting there doing nothing, they will not move from behind the counter and offer any assistance. If you are in a hurry and want to get in and out quickly, it wont happen here. And its not because they are busy, i had to stand in line to pay for my supply's for one of the counter persons while two others just sat there doing nothing. I live about 8 minutes from American Ace Supply, and would be very convenient for me, if they provide a better service or hire counter persons with a little knowledge of the trades. In the mean time, Home Depot is right down the street. And they have better prices. read more

If you hate going to a supply store and getting the wrong electrical/plumbing supplies stuffed in to a box by some poor sap trying to make a buck then you need to come here. A large majority of the parts are on the floor for you to pull yourself so you can avoid costly mistakes on orders. If you can't find what you need the staff is always willing to point you in the right direction. They have everything you need to bring you project up to code and the best pricing in town. My contractor recommended this supply store to me a couple of months ago and I finally made it in this afternoon. It took me a little while to find it (near the old Tower Records in Concord) but now that I have, I don't think I'll ever go back to Lowe's or Home Depot. I spoke to Jack and Dennis and they were able to answer every one of my questions, including ones that started with, "You know that thing that attaches to that other thing in the shower....." I moved out of my parents' home many moons ago, but I've been dying to update, redesign and redecorate some of their living space, especially their master bath, to make life a little easier for wonderfully active people over 75. Dragging my parents into the 21st century hasn't been easy (always met with considerable kicking and screaming) but every upgrade I've done, they've been so thankful for and always wished they had done it sooner. I walked out of American Ace today feeling so empowered and motivated to start more of these projects. Why? Basically because someone was able to break everything down for me, from pricing, to project ideas, to sequence of labor, etc. The prices were very reasonable (almost half of what Home Depot quoted) and because they deal with all the different vendors for you, you don't feel like you're on your own. I'm used to receiving information in snip-its (from Home Depot) which is sometimes overwhelming and inevitably delays my moving forward with projects because I feel I have to deal with all the details myself and that things could go very wrong. I'm an electrical contractor I have my C10 license. I up till now have been buying some of my stuff from ACE electrical. Warning walk out the door and they'll hit you with a 25% restocking fee on returns (who does that anymore?) Mistakenly bought a item for $140.00 which I could have bought up the street at Home Depot for $85.00 . I called about price discrepancy was told I needed to compare prices better. BAD business ethics by these guys not worth the risk to shop there anymore. Beware. read more

We recently started using American Ace about three years ago. I absolutely love how easy Denis makes ordering materials and picking them up. The entire process of material pick up and drop off is my least favorite part of my job, it can be very overwhelming and stressful, this however is not the case with Denis. This new location of a Bay Area supply company is well-stocked with materials, tools, parts and equipment. We needed a replacement fill valve for a Toto toilet but didn't have the model #. Dennis Salinas went above and beyond to help us identify the model # and part #, with the incomplete (and possibly incorrect) information that we had in hand. We installed the new fill valve and it functioned perfectly. This was outstanding customer service and much appreciated after having gotten the wrong part and virtually no assistance from another local plumbing supply house. Needless to say, we will be back and recommend to anybody who needs plumbing, electrical or HVAC supplies. Their prices are also very competitive, which is an added bonus! read more

Great place, great prices (on most items) and GREAT SERVICE ...Jack and Dennis are the BEST! As a "girl" it can be a traumatizing experience shopping in the big box stores ( HOME DESPOT specifically), where you are treated rudely , should you find anyone to help you. Not so here. My contractor recommended them and what a surprise. This is not a Showroom where all those pretty faucets and shower heads are displayed in gorgeous surroundings (read $$$$$$$$). So do you homework, take a look at those gorgeous showrooms, take a pic w/cell phone of what you like then head on down to see Dennis or Jack. BTW Tubz in Fremont is a great place to see and try out (not actually take a bath, but stand and sit in) to see almost all tubs known to mankind. (not low low end like The Despot...probably low end at $600). Trust me, as a girl who has done many remodeling projects ( and loves to save $$$ so I can buy more shoes) you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. read more

No one had parts for a discontinued 10 year old Blanco kitchen faucet. I didn't get a response from Blanco. American Ace contacted Blanco. They told me the unit had a lifetime warranty. Once available, Blanco would mail the parts free of charge. I had the parts in four weeks. I have used American ace for plumbing and lighting for the last three years. Great service - low prices.
