The checkout employees took an unusually long time to process our order and provided inaccurate information. We were told that the fountain would be delivered and assembled, and we specifically emphasized that we needed it as soon as possible because we had an event scheduled for Saturday. We were also told that someone would call us with a delivery date. By Sunday, we still had not heard anything, so I called to check on the status of the order. I was placed on hold and never transferred. When I called again on Monday, I was told that a forklift had broken down and deliveries could not be made. I also learned that the notes on my order incorrectly stated that I wanted the fountain delivered by Saturday, when in reality I had clearly explained that I needed it delivered before Saturday. From that point on, I had to follow up daily through Wednesday just to get updates on my delivery. When the fountain was finally dropped off, I discovered that it would not be assembled as originally promised. To make matters worse, despite the delay, the display fountain had not even been cleaned before delivery. I understand that it was the last one available, but I would have expected it to be cleaned and presented in acceptable condition. Instead, I paid full price for a fountain that looks like something purchased secondhand on Facebook Marketplace--and honestly, I've seen items there in much better condition. Overall, the lack of communication, inaccurate information, repeated follow-up required on my part, and poor condition of the product made this a very disappointing experience.

So I called ahead of time and spoke to Chris and asked him if he could help me put the new blade on and he said absolutely so I dropped it off yesterday and picked it up today and not only did he replace my blade he spent time explaining to me how to replace it the next time. He recommended Rockler out here in Concord because it's close. I wanted to buy drawer slides and a jig for some adjustable shelves. The store had maybe 4 people in it. I had a question about some drawer slides. I asked a man walking by, he was carrying something, and I said, Are you busy? He said, What does it look like to you? I said, Yes? He said, Well, There's your answer, and walked away. Now this exchange was absolutely unkind. It wasn't angry, but it was not helpful, unkind, and disrespectful. I couldn't tell you what was wrong with these guys. But as a woman, I absolutely felt minimized and disrespected. My brother heard that and said, Let's go. I said, Yep. No need to spend my money here. I think another worker heard and he tried to come over and see if he could help. But, it only takes one. I don't care how many items they have, or selection of woodworking goods, no business or person should be disrespectful to a customer for asking if they're busy. I can't know what was behind his response, but standing there as a woman among older white men, I couldn't help wondering whether that played a part. Whatever the reason, I found the way he spoke to me deeply offensive. Found excellent customer service and exactly what I needed at Golden State Lumber nearby.

This is not the solution. Find some other way. Invest in the store instead of just milking it with $29.99 wrenches. I probably won't shop there anymore because of this.

Once I brought it to her, she looked at it and said it only needed cotter pins. She brought out a couple and fastened both detached wheels back on the cart quite fast. Best .39 cents plus tax I've spent. I didn't realize this store closes at 8 pm. I appreciate his kindness and willingness to help me despite closing time. The crew together with Ron all stayed a few minutes behind for me (well past closing time) and I really appreciated that as I'm sure they all just wanted to get out of there and go home. It came across as rude and unprofessional. After that, I waited another 15-20 minutes before making a fourth attempt to get help. I was told, "If you can't find it, we probably don't have it." No one offered to check the inventory, look up the item, or help me locate it. After spending well over an hour trying to get assistance, I left feeling ignored and frustrated. This was some of the worst customer service I've experienced. I expect much better from Home Depot.
