I feel like great customer service is so rare these days that my jaw hit the floor when I received this 4 pack of meat church seasoning for free from Bill's Ace Hardware. I had ordered some meat church seasoning online and went to the store to pick it up. The seasoning they gave me was the wrong one so I asked one of the folks there for help. I didn't catch the man's name, but he was steadfast in his search for the correct seasoning. Pulling out a ladder to look in overflow bins. Pulling out all the seasoning on the shelves looking for it. Disappeared for a few minutes to search in some random storeroom. Couldn't find it! No big deal. The seasoning I got would suffice so I said "thanks for looking!" And went on my merry way. The next day this arrives at my front door. Just had two items and wanted to add a 26" bike inner tube. The inner tubes were LOCKED ($15 item). I walked up to the cashier at register #1 and ask to have a bike inner tube unlocked. She told me someone would meet me there. I waited 10 minutes and nobody came. While waiting I saw multiple people walk in and get assistance. My purchase was only $50, I'm sure they don't care about lost business BUT it will be a long time before I return to an ACE location ANYWHERE! They have turned into Home Depot, plenty of people working but nobody taking care of business! read more

I've been in here a zillion times recently. Maybe not quite a zillion, but several for sure. I really love all the Ace stores. Even with different owners, they really have consistently some of the best customer service you will ever find. This store can get busy, like any popular business, but they handle long lines well and try to minimize wait time, even in the paint area, which is where I've found myself spending the most time recently. I'm painting the interior of a 36 foot toyhauler, and I decided to change colors halfway through my already tedious project. (Wtf is wrong with me? I don't know...) I'm also taking on two projects at my parent's home: staining a wood deck and treating an old fence with wood oil. A gigantic project I've realized, but the fence looks incredible so far. The help I've received at this store extends from explaining to me in-depth the options available for each project, to not laughing at my dumb questions, which there are many of. There's usually a greeter here when you arrive, and it's never hard to finish someone to point you in the right direction when you're looking for a particular item. I like feeling appreciated when I'm spending my money, and the sincerity of their staff, as well as the rewards you receive after shopping here, both accomplish that. read more

Penistan of hardware stores , they always have so many items that I need in the love to have to my collection of things I love to buy. I really like the yeti cooler it is highly expensive though. I was able to buy a turkey fryer to get ready for Thanksgiving which was nice. I also like the device where you can custom edit your tumblers. Parking is great in the store is fairly clean and organized I would just recommend more workers in the aisles to be able to help you if you're needing assistance in finding certain items. The checkout line was not too long of a minute so that was nice. Overall had a nice visit at this location. read more

There are not enough to good words to say about this store. The service is amazing. The staff go out of their way to help and seem truly interested in each person. I am 71 and my husband has dementia. I needed an electric lawn mower, since my gas one was too difficult for me. I purchased an electric one here and they took great detail to show me how to use it. Plus the sales agent told me that if I could not get it out of my car at home he would come after hours and take it out for me. Another time I needed just some small items. That sales person took a huge amount of time to tell me exactly what I needed and why, directing me away from things that would not be right for my project. Still another time I was going to purchase an expensive item, but the sales person told me it would not be what I wanted. The result? I am a very loyal customer. They are honest, helpful and truly show respect and care for the customer. I am a full fan! read more

I went in this morning to get some more paint after painting last night. I asked a worker where the spray paint was located since it was my first time at this location. She let me know the paint was in aisle 15 after giving me an odd look. When I make my way to aisle 15, I hear over the intercom someone requesting security for aisle 15. Mind you, I am the only customer in this aisle. Then another worker comes by and asks sternly if I "need something". Horrible experience and I have never been profiled in this way before. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a person of color or because I had paint all over, perhaps both. Still, this behavior is not okay and needs to be addressed. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Came here to get a spare car key made and they told me only a specific employee could do it and told me to come back on the weekdays. There's obviously a reason why I'm here on the weekend. Don't have signs that say you can make car keys when you can't! It wasn't even the electronic or fob part that I needed to be made. I just can't say enough good things about this ace hardware. Came in quick to get water supply valve replacement for my toilet cause it keeps leaking and I wasn't sure which one I needed. Well Tom the ass. Manager came over to help and knew what type of piping I Probably had and he was right. Helped get the right valve and explained how it works. We came in on Memorial Day. I really like all the cute yard decorations. We came in for light bulbs. We also purchase bamboo poles to build an A frame to grow hops on. We asked the employee for his suggestion on the best way to secure the bamboo poles to secure the A frame.he said- I don't know, whatever you like... maybe just ask someone else. Thinking maybe due to the holiday, the seasoned employees were off. Everyone else we spoke to was friendly enough, just not very knowledgeable about projects. Email Exchange yesterday with Bill Wygal of Bill's Ace Hardware Hi Bill, I have two garden hoses that I bought at Ace Hardware Concord. They both leak at the connection. I used some waterproof tape but they are still leaking. My wife gets upset every time she uses them! Rod Thanks for reaching out those are an over-the-counter guarantee so there's no problem replacing the hoses. The brass fitting on the end of the garden hoses is probably bad.
