No one asked me for help, but I didn't need any or want any. I wish the outside register was open because it was closer to my car, but oh well. Got to get some more steps in. Was pleasantly surprised at the electronic receipt that was emailed to me instantly because I signed up with their rewards program. I purchased an outdoor fountain on June 4, 2026. The employee in the garden department was very helpful during the purchase process; however, the experience quickly deteriorated once we reached the register. The checkout employees took an unusually long time to process our order and provided inaccurate information. We were told that the fountain would be delivered and assembled, and we specifically emphasized that we needed it as soon as possible because we had an event scheduled for Saturday. We were also told that someone would call us with a delivery date. By Sunday, we still had not heard anything, so I called to check on the status of the order. I was placed on hold and never transferred. When I called again on Monday, I was told that a forklift had broken down and deliveries could not be made. I also learned that the notes on my order incorrectly stated that I wanted the fountain delivered by Saturday, when in reality I had clearly explained that I needed it delivered before Saturday. From that point on, I had to follow up daily through Wednesday just to get updates on my delivery. When the fountain was finally dropped off, I discovered that it would not be assembled as originally promised. To make matters worse, despite the delay, the display fountain had not even been cleaned before delivery. I understand that it was the last one available, but I would have expected it to be cleaned and presented in acceptable condition. Instead, I paid full price for a fountain that looks like something purchased secondhand on Facebook Marketplace--and honestly, I've seen items there in much better condition. Overall, the lack of communication, inaccurate information, repeated follow-up required on my part, and poor condition of the product made this a very disappointing experience. read more

I came to OSH as it was a rainy News Years Day 2023 and in Concord Ca. I totally forgot all of our rainy weather equipment hours away and since we were going to be in and out side of the rain I needed a rain poncho along with an umbrella. I got two rain ponchos one for me and one for the dude. Since he was injured I wanted to make sure it would be a really good one as I don't want him to slip and fall. Anywho, I arrived around the start of the morning when they opened and there was a decent amount of people inside. The workers were nice , very young and appeared to be goofing off mostly to the music that was playing...I don't blame them xD the music was I interesting couldn't help but to smile. Happy to see employees enjoying the job! It's refreshing. I did need assistance finding a few items as I am doing a patio remodeling job and got a few items for that as well. The garden center is LIFE it was pouring raining so I didn't have the time to check it out in-depth but I wanted to but next time. The store was clean, organized and had everything I needed. Overall, I would return ! Wish we had one in my hometown ! The rain coats did it's job and I currently still use it on rainy days when I'm at work! You never know what you may here definitely some hidden treasures :D read more

I've been to this store a few times when this was the old OSH. Usually go to ACE because they always seemed more helpful even though OSH is literally right down the street from my house. Needed something quick so I decided to give them another try. Since I hadn't been there in a while, I knew where nothing was. I was wandering around the store and was approached by an employee named Travis who asked if he could help me. Not only did he take me to where I needed to go, but he also helped me find exactly what I needed, and showed me how to use it. The reason I stopped going to OSH in the first place was because I didn't get the customer service I needed, but now I'll be back. read more

I would give 10 stars if I could! Absolutely amazing customer service! I now wish I would've asked for the employees name that helped me, but I never asked. The specific employee was so helpful in assisting me with my needs. I came in to get a spare key made for my car because I lock my keys in my car literally all the time. He made the key for me, and he even came out to my car to test it made sure it worked. This was the best customer service I've ever received from a hardware store. He also helped me make sure to go with the most cost efficient way to do this. I will definitely be coming to this hardware store for all of my needs in the future! read more

This is a great store to have in our community! Anything you can need and more. Last time I found Gardner sleeves that keep the sun off your arms for way less than Amazon. Exact brand and print. This time I found the heat socks I was looking for elsewhere, but outdoor supply had different levels so my feet won't get sweaty. I came here today with a key problem. I go in here, I guess it's right at closing, you can't tell because there are lots of cars in the parking lot and lots of people in the store but I need a certain item. I walk in and go to the girl at the counter and ask her "do you have soandso and if so what aisle would I find them?" She says, "yes, we do have them. They're in aisle 20. But we're closed so you can't get them." WTF was the point of telling me you have them and I can't have them? You could simply say "sorry, we're closed now." Instead this idiot does a little "yeah we have them but you ain't getting them" thing - I don't know, to be a jerk on purpose? Why tell me where it is if you're closed and it's pointless for me to know. Unbelievably rude. I'm not going to lie, I was f'ing furious when I walked out there. OSH has return but now it is Outdoor Supply Hardware. Here is the funny part...they are using Orchard Supply Hardware carts! Finally a gardening store back in this shopping center. I sworn that shopping center has gone through a lot of gardening store (Yard Bird, Home Depot, and Orchard Supply Hardware). I check the inside of the place. It is OSH still. It feels like you are still shopping inside Orchard Supply Hardware. I was greeted right away when I enter the store. All the sales people made sure I found everything that I needed. The gardening section is AMAZING! Lots of plants to see. This is definitely OSH resurrected. Check out Outdoor Supply Hardware. I recommend checking it out. read more

He was so pleasant and helpful and really made my day with his thoughtful and kind customer service! I love all the employees at this store but Sam is a shining star and I just wanted to make sure to mention him! The stores selection is amazing and I love wondering through their beautiful garden section and finding little treasures to add to my home garden! I highly recommend this store/location! I was pleasantly surprised to see they carried many of the things I was buying elsewhere. Prices on what I was getting were comparable to the big box hardware stores and worth the convenience of it being so close to home. Just shopped at OSH. Very disappointed. I was maybe 1 of 3 customers. I was totally ignored by every associate. I had to wait to be rung up while a cashier chatted with another customer about NASCAR. So glad OSH is back! They may be Outdoor Hardware Supply now but they are still OSH! I was so sad when they originally left because they are super close to me and its so convenient when you need to pick something up in a pinch or during the middle of your project you realize your missing 1 screw and can't continue on until you go and buy one. They have a huge plant section full of herbs, flowers, succulents, fruit trees and more! I also picked up some seeds for my fall garden! There are 2 brands of seeds so you are bound to find the seed you are looking for. I purchased edible fall plant seeds but they also have flower seeds as well. That was just one visit but I will definitely be back for many more! read more

I LOVE this place - it evokes the old Orchard Supply hardware (OSH) which I still miss; the roomy, attractive aisles are even set up the same. GREAT alternative to Home Depot or Lowe's for tools, hardware, housewares, cleaning supplies, gadgets, patio and garden. Better selection and display; lots of friendly staff in green aprons ready to tell you EXACTLY where your item can be found. Very nice nursery, Since they don't have a full-on lumber dep't, or heavy masonry, etc, the place is not crowded with contractors pushing mega-carts. If you're going to the paint section where the stain is they have very limited selections and fill the shelves with a lot of the same particular stain. Very nice store with a lot of useful items. Shelves are full and good selection. Having said that, prices are quite high-maybe even higher than Ace. A garden hose for $79 and round-point shovel for almost $40 as two examples. At least 25 to 50% higher than HD. Don't understand why some outlets feel they have to overcharge on just about everything. Fair price for fair merchandise is the key to success. BTW, only about 4 customers in the entire place at 3:30 on a Friday. And, no one near the check-out line. Word of advice: Reduce your prices to reasonable levels and they will come. My rating reflects 4.5 for store operations, 1.5 for pricing. read more

Went to the Clayton store this time versus the Napa store last time at 8 am and asked for help to purchase a 11 ft cantilevered outdoor umbrella plus the stand. An older gentleman went to check on inventory. We sat on comfortable patio chairs while two female employees pushed past us with a cart obviously stocking the displays. One greeted us nicely. Almost an hour passes but no one has spoken to us so I ask at the register what's up with our umbrella. She says they found it and in the process of bringing it up to register 2. We go to register 2 and that clerk says "Oh, I was ready to ring you up but didn't know you were in the store. " No one checked if we were in the almost empty store waiting. Our clerk was never to be seen since we inquired about the purchase. Where is your simple client communication and customer service standards?????? All better go back for some training, except the young man who helped load the purchase into our car. He was helpful and cordial. read more

They have a few good team member on their team that are genuinely helpful. It always seems to be the younger ones. Though there is a older gentleman that is always helpful. I should have gotten their names. I will say I believe she is a manager who has red hair, who is not only rude to her other employees but takes off her mask quite a bit just to take cell phone calls on the floor? It happened when I went in today and the last time I went in. We are in the middle of a pandemic, please keep your mask on. As someone who works retail the last thing I want is to keep wearing these masks but think of all the customers coming in. If you are in any position of management it makes me wonder how Covid is being handled. read more
