I like their texting service to tell us table ready. We didn't even have our drinks yet ( delayed slightly because one of our four drinks were forgotten). Our drinks were fun & tasty. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food choices. The atmosphere was great. I brought my friends who had just returned from their honeymoon in the keys and they felt like they were back at Key West. I've been here multiple times since it's been open. I've had a few different things as I try to taste different items each time I go somewhere. I've had the crab cakes, they are pretty good, but nothing special really. Most recently, I had the Pipeline Grouper over cheese grits. Amazing!!! Also, started off with a pound of peel and eat shrimp, also delicious!! Volcano Shrimp Cocktail is also tasty. Great atmosphere, great beer. I've only heard negative things about the food here and upon looking over the menu I will disclose that I did not order any food. It smelled a little too fishy for comfort and no one seemed that thrilled with their food. I did order drinks but they were EXTREMELY over priced and just a lot of juice:/ I left here with a stomach ache twice. It's unfortunate to report that the food was not good. The jumbo crab cakes were not jumbo, but wide and flat. The rice was as if it was cooked in tomato sauce and they put some red peppers it but the cook should do way better. The Mexican grilled corn was not grilled, I can tell it was boiled and dressed up. The oysters were OK, they tasted like they came straight out of the sea and not rinsed off. Oh and the air conditioner did not work. Gordan Ramsey would shut this place down. . We go here pretty often because we live so close for the convenience but the food is very hit or miss with the entrees, although the oysters and ahi tuna are always good. The service is not great because the bartenders are lackadaisical and even when there's only a handful of people at the bar, drinks go empty and it often takes a while before they offer a refill. The servers seem to often have inside and outside tables so they're stretched thin which makes service sitting at a table not very good from our experiences. Most recently we went on a Friday and decided to add our name online to the waiting list and were quoted 30-45 minutes. We arrived to Tiki Docks about 30 minutes later and checked in at the host stand and were told the wait would still be 1-1.5 hours. I asked how it was possible that our wait time tripled when we added our name to the wait list already and were quoted 30-45 minutes but the hostess and a manager could not give a good explanation. They just said that's how it is. They were rude and unhelpful so don't attempt to use the online waitlist option, as it's useless. Overall good location but the customer service could be improved and their online waitlist service needs help (Texas Roadhouse is very efficient at this and Tiki Docks could use some tips from them). Also the staff could be friendlier and more efficient in general. read more

First time eating here. Went on Saturday around 12:30. Walked in an was immediately seated - the place is huge and they had plenty of seating, both inside and outside. Waiter came up after a few minutes. It was long enough for us to be able to glance at the menu and decide on an appetizer. He took our app order with our drinks and then came back for our meal order. I had the shrimp and grits (can't remember their name for it). Husband ordered the chicken. We had the crab cake appetizer as well. Everything was excellent; timing was on point. LOVE this place! This is our go to place to take our friend and family! The coconut breaded chicken tenders with the pinnacolada honey mustard is out of this world! The menu is a bit small and has almost only seafood the only thing i would get is a burger, or the chicken tenders so i feel like more non seafood options could be added. The BLT was amazing but was taken off the menu :( this place is usually packed and the wait is normally long so definitely join the waitlist or make a reservation but it's definitely a great place! read more

The fries were probably the best part next to the fish spread. The waitress was great, location is nice, but the food was very disappointing. I have to say I'm glad I did not try the alcoholic beverages because I would have probably been disappointed too. This place has been a huge disappointment. We gave it two tries and both times the service has horribly slow, we waited for a table for over an hour when we had been told it would be 30-40 minutes. The bartenders outside were very short and moody never smiled. And then the food... ugh. after waiting for another hour for the food to come out it was all very bland. Ridiculously over priced for the quality that is being served, not only that but the entire family was so ill that night from the food. "Fresh" grouper was definitely NOT fresh at all. We've been to this establishment a few times. Yesterday, was not our best experience as a noticeable decline in customer care was obvious. Good crowd at 5pm but not crazy busy. No room at the outside bar so we decided to grab 2 seats at the indoor bar. We waited for some type of life form to a least acknowledge our existence. We continue to wait. Bartenders did look at us but continue their tasks. During the interim, several couples began to sit down a few chairs over. With-in 2 minutes, one of the 2 bartender walked right past us to take their order. Got up an left. Should had addressed the matter with the bartender, although, did not want to make an obvious racial issue at the bar. Made a complaint to the on duty manager. Zzzzzz. Had the aloha burger, crab cakes, pulled pork sandwich, and grouper tacos. We did a takeout order. There was confusion on the order and took an extra 20 minutes from the website saying our food was ready for pickup to walk it up from the kitchen to the front. Within the ten minute drive home, the food was completely cold which means it probably just sat it the kitchen that whole time. Grouper tacos salvaged a star here, but nothing special here. Pulled pork was dry, sloppy, cold and mostly flavorless. Couldn't make it through more than a few bites. Crab cakes were mushy. Burger was something our friend had at the St. Pete location and said even the pineapple slice was disappointing. First time and last time we bother with this place. From other reviews it seems like consistency, training, and communication continue to plague this spot. read more

You can carry a conversation with your party & can hear them which is rare so the volume of the restaurant is reasonable. The food was fantastic & reasonably price. Tighten up at bar! Had two bartenders working a very lax crowd and didn't seem to either care or be aware of guests wanting repeat drinks or food. I wanted to order food and bartender dropped off a menu and never came back to take order. It's a nice ambience and setting but staff wasn't motivated and didn't greet or smile really. I mean it's not hard to make money at a bar this cool if you're a good tender. Visited the Bar & Grill for the first time after watching it being built over a couple of years. The atmosphere and views of the Alafia River were good. The food was very good nice portions and presented well. I had The Grouper sandwich, my wife had the ribs and we loved them. The bar atmosphere was a bit loud for my taste but not over powering. Outside dining was plentiful all along the river. Plenty of bar seating with good visibility of the TVs on a huge tower in the middle of the bar,if you wanted to follow sports. There was plenty of on site parking and they have an elevator to take you to the resturant if needed. read more
