Salt and Pepper Cauliflower Small Plate
    Andy N.

Tiger Bites is a no frills boba shop that serves a few snack items in an unassuming shop. I ordered their Salt & Pepper Cauliflower ($6) and it was okay. Way too salty in my opinion and the seasonings didn't quite do it for me, but it was nice to see a veg option for folks. Their lemon tea was pretty standard by my books. Everything came out fast and we were able to stay and hang out inside for a while. Appreciate the relaxed nature of the cafe.

I tried the popcorn chicken, braised pork over rice, tiger fries, and brown sugar boba here. The popcorn chicken and braised pork over rice were pretty forgettable, the braised pork especially was quite dry and I had a hard time finishing the bowl. HOWEVER, the tiger fries and brown sugar boba slapped. This place probably has one of the best brown sugar bobas that I've tried. Didn't have the best impression of the service here. I went during COVID times, so they were open for takeout orders only. I placed my order through DoorDash and it was ready for pickup on a table at the entrance when I arrived. The staff didn't ask if I was picking up or anything, they seemed more preoccupied chatting with each other. Another time I came here ~15 minutes before their closing time hoping to place a quick to-go order, but they told me that they were already closed. Overall I might be back to grab boba to go, but I'll most likely be going elsewhere for Taiwanese food.

Delicious, fresh, and cheap! Quick service and casual vibes. Will be back for sure. Awesome place for a quick bite.

Parking: There is a large parking area that can get busy on the weekends. COVID-19: They were accepting takeout orders only. There was hand sanitizer available, and everyone was wearing masks. Food: The food was prepared quickly, we walked in to order and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We got 4 baos: cod, tofu, pork, and chicken. They were all flavorful and 2 made for a good-sized snack. The baos were a little expensive at $5.25 each, but they have deals to get 2 for $10 or 3 for $14. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

Service was good and food was fine. I just wasn't super impressed, chicken was okay, not overly seasoned, sort of under seasoned. The rice plate was okay, beef was a little overdone and fatty, marinated egg was sort of just an egg (couldn't taste much), the tofu was sort of bland...the best thing was the cucumber and bean sprouts with kimchi sauce...had the most flavor. Not sure I would come back persay since so many other places nearby have similar offerings and I've been to them and enjoyed them more. But I will say that the desserts looked really good.

Def a new favorite place to eat! Their apps and tea are delicious, food arrives pretty quick and fresh, and staff are chill if you take a while to eat My friend and I loved everything we had: the yogurt green tea was so refreshing, our crispy tofu and 5 spice popcorn chicken were mouth watering, and the Tiger fries were by far the most amazing thing I've ever had LOL. The bulgogi, kimchi, and sauces went along so well with the fries. Pros: * chill staff * no line * got our food fast * delicious apps * tasty tea * comfy spot to hang out Cons: * parking in this plaza sucks * limited seating

Great serving size and made with love! Best food I've had so far in this area! I will come again. :3

This is for the bubble tea only. The store is a counter service restaurant with several seats and bus your own table. The menu has a lot of traditional Taiwanese small bites as well as a fair share of desserts and bubble tea. We got the brown sugar bubble tea as well as the oolong crema. For both, I thought the tea was decent although a little on the sweeter side (even with 50% sweetness). The reason why I give it 3 stars is because of the boba, which was just not at a good chewy consistency that you would expect for tapioca pearls. It didn't taste as fresh as it should be. That, combined with the tea is why I left overall feeling "meh" about it. Service was fast and quick but I would just go to a different place to get my boba fix.

Love this place!! I always get their Tiger fries with bulgogi and they hit every time. Their drinks are pretty good. I've tried their baos before and they taste delicious too.

Very good pricing on popcorn chicken. Baos are nice a fluffy. Pork-belly is soft and flavorful. Cannot complain. Small eatery good place for lunch or dinner.

Friendly staff, average Taiwanese comfort food, average prices. Traditional pork belly bowl was a bit on the dry side, braising flavor okay but nothing to wrote home about Five spice popcorn chicken was average, perfectly fried but could use more seasoning, a bit bland as fellow reviewers note. Prefer the version at Hard Wok Kalbi bun was a total disappointment Fried green beans are tasty, very reasonably priced and a generous portion Loved the grapefruit green tea - made with super fresh grapefruit, delicious!

This place is a solid 3.5 stars because we had a mix of opinions. You first order at the counter and then wait for the food at your table. Food came out surprised fast and it was piping hot which is nice. Kalbi beef bao: this is where the mix of opinion came in. My boyfriend ate part of this when it first came out and he thought it was one of the best bao he had. I waited a little and tried other food first before eating this and thought it was very mushy and soft even though the flavor was good. I gave the rest to my boyfriend and he agreed. So, you must eat this right away or it just go bad. Popcorn chicken: this would have been such a good dish if they added some salt. It was cooked perfectly, just bland. Tiger fries: good concept, and flavor but the meat could have been cut up to smaller pieces and the onion could have been cooked rather than leaving it raw. Fried cauliflower: my favorite- it wasn't deep fried like it say it did, but had good flavoring and nice texture Price was decent for the portion and service was ok. Overall, its a good place to have a hangout with friends and the food is pretty decent

I decided to give this place a try despite all the reviews and not so good recommendations from one of my friends. I ordered 5 dishes, none of the dishes were seasoned. The only dish that tasted okay was the plum sugar fries. The traditional pork belly nap was bland, Kalbi beef bao had a conflicting taste between the kimchi and kalbi, three-cup tofu bao was bland (I can make a better sauce than this and I don't even cook!), and 5 spice popcorn chicken had 0 spice. The lady said 15 minutes and I went back to pick the food up right away, and chicken steak's skin was soft and greasy already. And she didn't even want me to check my food on the table and asked me to take the food and move to the bench. I just wanted to take a peek at the food. There was no one in the restaurant or waiting outside to come in. I'm surprised this restaurant is still open...

Great place when you're craving Hainanese Chicken…read more I had the combo chicken rice, which comes with your lighter Hainanese chicken and fried chicken. The Hainanese chicken was so tender and almost pure. It had depth and complemented the chicken fat infused rice. It's a nice balance and you can dip sauce into it if you like more intense flavors. I also liked the fried chicken because it had more texture to a tender dish and I found it nice to go back and forth. We also tried the noodles and it was decent and had a slow burn (spicy) to it but i like the rice dishes the best. The combo chicken was more than enough food for me - I left very full. Ambiance is casual. We arrived on Friday around 6:45pm, and joined a waitlist of 9 for 2 ppl. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. You sit down, order via QR code, and food comes out! Service was decent - nice and friendly and attentive - it's not a place where they'll wait on you regularly but it's also not that kind of setting. Parking is either on the street or in the H Mart complex parking lot. All in all - great eatery

Also, I noticed their floor were extremely greasy and slippery. They put down black rugs in main walkways , but on the way to the restroom was without and I almost slip and fell. They really need a deep clean to their floor, or someone might fall for real.

This was yummy beyond yummy!…read more I literally always pass by this place whenever I'm at Crossroads, more so to eat at So Tasty or walk around Crossraods Mall. This time, my friends and I looked up this place on a whim and realized, "Oh it's so close to Crossraods! Why don't we just eat here then?" Also one of my friends was craving katsu that same day so we had to come here. You can use parking out on the nearby streets or at a nearby parking lot close to the building, or perhaps nearby Crossroads Mall parking if you're multi-tasking over there. It's a very casual feel inside with an ample number of tables for eating (some with some pretty odd walls separating them) and booths for larger groups. There's a ton of dishes you can get here like bento boxes, yakisoba, bibimbap and other things given it serves both Japanese and Korean food. I got the katsu bento box, which came with a ton of sides like rice, salad, yakisoba noodles, gyoza, egg rolls and shrimp tempura. There was also a choice to order just yakisoba, but I like how it's provided as a side for our bento. Everything was fresh, good, and delicious! My favorite was the katsu itself since it came and stayed piping hot while I was eating, and meat was juicy beyond juicy with the outer crust being mildly crunchy just as it should be. Yakisoba noodles were full of taste, and the fried stuff added a nice kick to the rest of the bento. I don't have anything to say on service here since it was quick and most utensils were self-serve. For places like these that serve more than one kind of cuisine, I'll definitely come back especially with the surrounding area having a ton of great places to eat including this one!

The fact that these were also coated in oil was pretty nice. On the inside, I thought the prawns were cooked well - they remained pretty soft and didn't appear overcooked I did feel like the spice was pretty much missing, though. I ordered 4/5 stars, but it tasted more like 1/5 stars as there was a pretty significant lack of spice that took away from a lot of the flavor potential. Speaking of the missing flavor, there should've been a lot more sauce added to this dish - either poured on top of the prawns or the prawns come sitting in it. The benefit of this is that it you can mix everything with the rice - and this sauce coats the rice to make it taste good. The way it's currently presented, the prawns are too large to really eat with the rice, and mixing the two will just result in eating the meat and taking another bite of plain rice because there isn't enough sauce to coat the rice. This dish just ended up being eating the prawns by themselves - the rice wasn't super useful As a result, after finishing I really wasn't that full For the price (around 20 ish) there are a good amount of prawns, but I wouldn't really say you're getting a good deal here
