Karl is one of the reasons me and my family have come back to Root'd because of the connection he has made with my children and the genuinely kind soul he is. While I can't speak for others, Karl has always provided us with an amazing serving experience and has really made us feel at home at Root'd, while the food is great, his service is what has always stood out to me here. Before other people go judging him on one shitty night he had they should realize that he is just trying his best and one bad night does not define Karl, because I have seen so much more out of him. Imagine if you judged everyone based on one night off their life? Doesn't seem very fair, does it. I have gone to Root'd long enough to know the consistency and value that Karl brings to this company, and I hope everyone else can realize that too. I love this place, the food, and the service, and genuinely just want to see the best for it. So, say it with me now, #Justice4Karl

I think the two servers we had were Mason and Chris. They were wonderful and never interrupted our convos or rushed us. Had very good attitudes ! We ordered a couple appetizers: the spinach dip with half chips half bread, avocad-oh, and the crab cake. I loved the creaminess of the spinach dip, and the fan favorite at the table was the crab cake , it was a nice size to share with 4 people! I got my go to favorite which is the blackberry and goat cheese ball salad!! Those goat cheese balls are TO DIE FOR!! I am so obsessed!!! I shared that with my mom and added grilled chicken , it never disappoints and fills me up just right. The men ordered the ribeye and the filet minion. I really loved those mash potato's and my step dad said that was one of the juiciest and flavorful ribeyes that he has had in a while! Oh and we tried the big apple special drink of the day and it was delish! The lava cake paired to perfection with a house red If you ever get the chance to go... go! They also have sushi!!

The food was average at best, the service was subpar, and the atmosphere didn't quite live up to the hype.

The décor is warm, modern, and sophisticated, with a contemporary yet cozy feel that makes it a very inviting place to relax and enjoy an evening. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit disappointing from a culinary standpoint. My ahi tuna did not seem as fresh as I would have expected, and the burger was less than impressive. It was slightly overcooked, and the patty was quite thin, lacking the quality and flavor that the beautiful setting promises. On the positive side, the service was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly throughout our meal. Heart & Hill has all the ingredients to be a standout destination. A stronger focus on the quality of the meat and a more substantial burger would go a long way toward matching the excellent atmosphere they have created.
