Brought my mentally challenged brother here for lunch today (a Tuesday). The place has 5 gigantic tables for about 10 ppl, one 4-top and a round 5-top. They sat the two of us at one of the big tables since the small ones were taken, and I was just happy to be sat. I ordered an incredible amount of stuff because my brother and I eat like pigs. They were out of the Boiled Lamb Leg, so we got some Wild Duck Soup. It was too bony for him to eat (too risky), so I devoured it. Pretty good, not fantastic. It's a watery broth soup, and while full of flavor, the duck meat kind of shrinks and dries out a bit. Next they brought the Braised Pork over Rice, which was pretty good... there wasn't a tremendous amount of Braised Pork in there, but it was very fatty and soft. The Chinese Bacon with Scallion came at the same time, and THAT WAS THE BEST. That was so tasty, I probably won't even need to eat dinner. The Boiled Pork/Chive Dumplings were very good! We got Taiwanese Noodles as well, and that was very good but not over-the-top-fantastic like the Chinese Bacon dish. Their tea is very good too. The service was basically 2 servers, very hectic but they did well enough despite some language barrier. With a few Cokes, the check came to about $55. Good menu and good cooks here. I would return.

This restaurant has a somewhat limited menu. I am no Taiwanese cuisine connoisseur, but I did not see any of the usual items I have found in other Taiwanese eateries (and I don't necessarily say this in a negative way). Everyone's taste is unique. I honestly thought "maybe they serve dishes from a different region of ". We found the items we ordered a bit bland (but not bad). Was looking for noodle soups and they only had one selection. The fried tofu was pretty crispy. The basil Clams were the tastiest out of the bunch. The place is small. Looks clean. There is street parking (good luck finding a spot). Located in a pretty busy area of town. Our server was friendly, but she was unable to answer questions we had about some of the dishes.

Got lucky here came during dinner time and it was not very busy at the time I enter. Soon as we sat the place filled up. I felt the service was really good here. As we sat water and tea was brought right away to us. Of course I ended up ordering lots and lots of dishes to try being that I saw a lot on the menu. Personally I thought that all the food was very good. I really liked the 3 cup chicken dish. Very good flavor and goes great with rice. Nice little restaurant with good food and friendly service. Dishes came very quick after placing the order. Will like to try some other items on the menu. Will be back.

Take out - pork chop over rice. GET IT. so good... we got three. I called ahead so i didnt have to wait with the aunties/uncles that get a little rowdy during dinner times - they are great but just a bit too loud for me. From the cabbage that accompanies this dish to the minced meat to the main pork chop crust... this dish reminds me of "66" in flushing. iykyk. The rice kernels were not too hard nor mushy soft (we microwaved one of them the next day and it tasted fine). I would go back to try other dishes on the menu... one in particular has caught my eye... stinky tofu LOL let the adventure begin!

We made dinner reservation for a group of 9 on a Friday night 630p. Highly recommended to call early for a reservation especially on the weekend. The place was packed and customers were turned away. The waitress rushed us to order when we weren't even ready. We were asked if we would be done by 830p, two hours later for another reservation. We said yes. The high chair was filthy. Good thing my fam member wiped it down. The stinky tofu was good. Their cabbage was delicious. The sticky rice cake was ehh. They gave us like 5 pieces of pork in it. Where was the rest? We also ordered veggie dish, oyster pancake, large intestine noodles etc. Our bill was $144.

Hmm where do I begin.... First time being here was with my mom and my brother and had an amazing lunch. Today I came for dinner it had 3 large parties so we were thrown in the corner table and basically forgotten. Had to nearly jump to have the waitress even acknowledge our existence. From the pictures we ordered taiwanese sausage it was dry and almost burnt to a crisp. Stinky tofu not gonna lie on point. The chicken leg over rice was overly salted and the rice barely had any minced meat sauce on the rice. Seaweed what can I saw pretty good but can that really be messed up? The noodles I forgot the name was pretty bland. First time having it brought back childhood memories but today it was mediocre at best. O man I would have given a 3 star just for the food but the customer service was by far the worse I've seen. Super rude, we finished the tea and she takes it away and just never comes back. I don't know if you've ever been to a Chinese restaurant but I believe it's pretty customary to have the tea refilled. When we asked for tea she walks away before we were able to place an order for cake and when she came back we asked for one and she gave us the worst attitude saying anything else super loud and obnoxious like we were ordering things one at a time to make her go back and forth. Anyways with that kinda service I don't recommend anyone coming here. Maybe just for takeout.

Service was minimal at best but they just seemed under staffed honestly. And when the server did come by, she was running quickly to and from. The place was not busy when my friends and I were seated. But there was a back room in guessing that had occupants since she was missing in the front seating area. (There was a two person table occupied in the front near us). My party of three over ordered but that was intentional because, any purchase over $100, you get a free lobster and each of us had items we wanted, figured we would doggie bag the leftovers. All in all a great value. The lunch spread had over 7 dishes and we got the free lobster. I was especially happy to see Fried Milk on the menu as an appetizer. They also provide complimentary salted peanuts and pickled radish and carrot slivers. I recommend the snow pea shoots, fried milk, clams with black bean sauce and the Chinese Broccoli with Filet beef. The other dishes like the lobster, noodles and sweet and sour pork were executed well but just not my flavor profile. And with my food allergy, I couldn't try the shrimp with walnuts but it was my friends' birthday so she ordered that for her treat. It looked great! There's complimentary parking if you validate your ticket with a nearby garage, but you need to spend a minimum.

The…read morerestaurant was fairly full and the strangest thing almost all the patrons were wearing their wool hats and coats while seated at their tables. We were famished and only focused on what yummy dishes to order. My wife, son and daughter all contributed their suggestions and we ended up ordering pan fried whole flounder, half of the roast chicken with garlic, filet mignon with Chinese broccoli, fried rice with chicken and salted fish and everyone's favorite dish salt & pepper squid. Once we placed our order and were enjoying the roasted peanuts and free spicy cabbage we realized why everyone had their winter coats on, it felt like they had the AC on and it must have been 55° in the restaurant. I told everyone that once the food arrived things would warm up. Each dish that came out of the kitchen was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The salt & pepper squid with it's minced jalapeños kept us warm enough until the half chicken with garlic and filet mignon and Chinese broccoli came out in rapid succession. The star of the show turned out to be the giant sized pan fried flounder which was not only big but quite scrumptious. Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The last dish to come out was a very large plate of chicken fried rice with salted fish. If it were not for the lack of heat, I would have given Chef Wong Bistro 5 stars!

Interesting enough, while the owner is from Wenzhou, their main chef is from Fu Zhou. Hence I definitely see some Fukinese influences here as well, such as their famous Buddha Jumped Over The Wall Soup that requires advance notice. Anyway, the reason I first visited this restaurant was because they have a great lunch special from Monday to Saturday. You can choose three items and a soup for $8, or four items and a soup for $9. I gave that a try a few months back and thought the food was solid. Due to my first experience, I decided to come try their dinner offerings with my family recently. We ordered a bunch of dishes and was overall please. While the best dish of the night may have been the Salt & Pepper Pork Chop, it's hard not to enjoy Ginger & Scallion Twin Lobsters for $29.88 right? The Shi Li Xiang Stir-Fry (Mixed Seafood w/ XO Sauce) and Wenzhou Style Dried Tofu w/ Smoked Pork were pretty good too. Unfortunately, the cold appetizers were not as satisfying. While slightly overcooked, the Boiled Pig Kidney was still decent. The Fried Belt Fish was okay, and I did not really like the Jelly Fish & Cumcumber or the freebies they gave us. As a whole, I thought the dinner was not bad and I would return to try more dishes. Nothing here really blew my mind, but the prices are so inviting.

Either way, when I have a craving for eel, Yuk Jun Gui is where I go. (They have other meats to grill like pork belly and intestines as well.) Their banchan offerings are pretty good and diverse. I love their kimchi, which according to other reviews, are made in-house. On my last visit though, all the meat came out pre-cooked. We asked about that, and they said it's because if it is grilled tableside, there would be too much smoke. I don't remember not being able to grill the meats at the table on previous visits, and hopefully this is not their new standard practice. To me, Korean BBQ is meant to be grilled at the table, not brought precooked and just warmed up on the grill. (Maybe it's because it is winter and they can't open the doors for proper ventilation?) It's certainly not a reason to not dine here, but for me, it does take away from the experience hence a star removed from the rating. However, if you like eel and want to try it grilled, I would recommend Yuk Jun Gui.

The complimentary salad is fresh (grape tomatoes, mango, radish, mozzarella, red onions, grilled chicken) with a light vinaigrette. The complimentary banchan has a good flavor, especially the jalapeno/onion banchan. It's got quite a kick to it! The complimentary soup is light, but still has good flavor. It's great for the cooler weather. The Tako Wasabi is one of the better variations I've had. I love that it comes with seaweed! It adds great texture and extra flavor. It has a great variety of flying fish roe plated neatly on top a perfectly cooked rice. Be sure to press the rice against the (super hot) bowl to get as much crispy bits as possible. I enjoy the eating it with the seaweed. Consistently great Korean spot.
