I do not recommend the pork confit for lack of flavor or the ceviche tostada, which had I cleaned shrimp in it. The wait staff were anything but welcoming. The Tina tartare was excellent as were the truffle fries. Their menu is not posted online as it is ever changing. This can lead to some misconceptions that their food is affordable for a family to dine. I would recommend this to couples for a romantic evening. We only tried some tapas as the food is quite pricey. Overall the wait staff needs to be more welcoming and the menu should be posted online. read more

I've only been here for Sunday brunch, but was very impressed with our visit. I like the business model of keeping a smaller menu selection done well than a lot of options with a hit or miss on overall satisfaction. The number of menu options here isn't huge, but everything sounded great (still dreaming of the key lime pancakes right now). After ordering the breakfast skillet and crab cakes benedict, I am not doubting the quality of the other options. I'm not sure if the food came out quicker than I consumed it, but I was very happy with both presentation and quality of the entree. I noticed a full bar but didn't feel like indulging in a Sunday brunch cocktail this day. I did see a neighboring table order some bloody mary's in a mason jar which looked great, and the lady enjoyed her mimosa, so next time I think an adult beverage is in store. Great food for Vegan /Vegetarian! We ate here both nights we were in town for dinner. The chef prepared a special Vegan menu item both times and they were both AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS - one Italian and one Asian. Their Mahi Mahi dishes were fantastic also per my husband. Food & service were both outstanding. We sat at the bar on a Thursday evening and the bartender Zach really took care of us. He made a Buck style cocktail with grapefruit from the cook's backyard. This cocktail rivals anything from the best bars in San Francisco or New York - so I had to have two. He walked us through the menu when we said we only wanted a light meal and steered us towards the beet salad and the mussels. The mussel broth was delicious and only got better with little bits of fennel sausage. We talked cocktails all evening with him, and were soon joined by the local folks at the next table. One of the nicest little spots on the bay for dining outdoors. The view is wonderful as is the food. Had the Hanger Steak and Truffle Fries. Absolutely wonderful dish. The steak was perfectly grilled and well seasoned. This is one of the few restaurants I've been too that does not put salt and pepper on the table. Probably on purpose because the food is always well seasoned and needs no help. Thyme will be moving to a new location in about six weeks. Hope it doesn't change anything. read more

What a lovely little find! If you blink you might miss this place. There's more parking in the back. We sat outside on the deck with a pleasant view of the park and glimmers of the bay further on. Stopped in during a quick visit to Fairhope. It was a Sunday so the menu was brunch. There were about 10 options both sweet and savory. I had the eggs Benedict. ($16). This was delicious - 2 poached eggs on top of prosciutto a slice of tomato and an English muffin. It was topped with a lemony light hollandaise with arugula on the side. I chose hash browns as the side. These were home cooked and good. My husband had the shrimp and grits ($12) with bacon as the side. He said it was also delicious and spicy enough for him - might be too spicy if you like mild. We had a Bloody Mary and a custom grapefruit juice and vodka. These were good and reasonable at $6. Service was quick and attentive. Definitely worth trying out if you're in the area. read more

We have traveled around the country and spent time in Europe, and this tiny restaurant is right up there with the best. Driving past it does not look very impressive, but does have a great location overlooking the bay. The menu is seasonal and changes several times a year. I love that you can show up in jeans and have a fabulous, casual meal. They place all their focus on the quality of the food, as you will experience with the first bite! This is our first visit since they moved, its very loud, service was slower than before and while the Grouper was great the soup was marginal at best and our friend had the filet and it was tough and flavorless. We stopped here for lunch last Saturday before going to the Arts Festival -- the weather was perfect and we enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the Bay. My husband and I both had Caesar salads with shrimp -- not the most exciting thing on the menu but just what we were in the mood for. Their version had just the right amount of dressing, a generous portion of shrimp, croutons and small pieces of bacon. We're looking forward to trying other items on their menu soon. read more

We stopped for dinner last night, and it was a wonderful experience. I ordered the braised pork cheeks, and they melted...the sauce was a simple yet "punch-in-the-face" explosion of flavor. My wife got the pan-seared flounder special, which was an herbal masterpiece. The Green Tomato salad was delish... The truffle fries were fantastic... We will be returning really soon! In fact I would not want to go here if eating inside is the deal but inside is always filled so it must be enjoyable. Went to this place because of its great reviews but was a little disappointed in the pear- fig salad. They had run out of chicken and used shrimp instead, which would have been fine, but the shrimp were mushy like they had been cooked a while ago and sitting around in water.
