Came in for a drink. Bartender was nice. The place itself seems like it's trying to be up scale but the staff wasn't on that level. I had a glass of Justin cab and my husband had a rosemary old fashion. He said it tasted like a regular old fashion with a spring of rosemary in it. Was clean inside. We would come back and try the food the menu looked yummie.

The sevice was very good. The hostess was adorable as my wife put it. The food flavors were there. But... We arrived with no reservation at 6PM on a Friday night and only 2 tables were occupied. When we left at 7:15ish only 50% of the tables had people sitting. We ordered the artichoke spinach dip with grilled bread, this was a tasty appetizer and we enjoyed it. Our entrees came spaced out (love this). Next she had the salmon plate with orzo and artichokes. It was a good dish but not great. I had the filet mignon with pimento cheese AuGratin potatoes and asparagus with bearnaise. Everything was tasty but, the steak was chewy and was not a very good cut of meat. I would try a fish entree next time. We finished up with a slice of strawberry shortcake with ice-cream that was very tasty. They also had a decent selection of craft beers not quantity but quality in my eyes and preference. We would likely give them another try.

My sister and I had a lovely lunch at this restaurant. I started with a pair of cheap sunglasses, LOL! That was a nice kolsch-style craft beer made by the Fairhope Brewing Company. For lunch, I ordered the Pimento Cheese Sandwich with their famous truffle fries! I enjoyed the sandwich, but I picked out the apples. Just not a big fan of sugary stuff. Truffle fries were delicious because they were truffle fries. You can't go wrong with truffle fries. Overall, I would eat here again. I saw someone eating the Mediterranean plate, which looked fabulous so I would order that the next time.

Stopped by for lunch after a meeting, and my meal was fantastic. The salmon was absolutely delicious. Both sauces were great, but there was a clash in flavors for me between the two different sauces and the Greek salad dressing-- very stark differences. Each component tasted very good, though!

The ratings and reviews say the best burger in Alabama and they are 100% correct. My wife and I stayed in Fairhope Alabama and picked this restaurant out prior just based on reviews and we loved that truffle aïoli burger and fries. Oh my God, we both said it's the best burger ever at the first bite. Great job and great service.

Great little restaurant in the heart of downtown. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! We had the fish tacos with shoestring fries & a dish of hummus. Would definitely go there again.

When we arrived for our 7pm reservation at 6:55pm, the hostess looked around frantically as though she didn't have a table. There were 4 open tables, but for some reason she couldn't seat us at any of them even though we had a reservation. She offered to let us sit outside at a tiny bistro table (that wasn't set), but informed us we couldn't drink alcohol out there. After I told her that was unacceptable she frantically moved us to one of the open tables. We sat there for over 10 minutes before our waitress (one of three working) finally came over to even give us water. Meanwhile, 2 tables that came in after us were seated, placed drink orders and had drinks delivered in this time. Our waitress was very pushy to get us to quickly order initially, but we made it clear we were not rushing. The pork belly bao buns were fantastic and the highlight of the meal. I had the bistro steak and it was terrible. Very tough and chewy piece of meat with zero flavor. The bed of asparagus it was on were completely undercooked and crunchy. My mom had the Thyme burger. She said it was pretty good. Overall, food was maybe 3/5 - saved by the bao and the burger. Ambiance was 1/5 because it was so loud we had to scream at each other. Service 2/5 based solely on our waitress and the hostess. Additionally, I noticed the hostess taking snapchat videos of the customers (making a poor attempt at discretely doing so)-- incredibly unprofessional at what should be a nice restaurant and also, don't video me.

After seeing positive Yelp reviews of this place, my friend and I decided to check it out. It's a pretty small place inside, but luckily it wasn't so crowded that the place was packed. The hostess was able to seat us so we were distanced from other diners and all the staff wore masks, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Thyme after Thyme to drink, which was delicious and refreshing. It would be the perfect drink on a hot day (today was a little colder but it was still pretty perfect). I also ordered the Thyme burger with truffle fries. I requested the burger to be cooked medium, but it was definitely well done. The burger was still juicy and flavorful, so I decided to let it go. The goat cheese on the burger was an interesting choice, as it was a little overpowering. The burger was good overall, but I don't know if I would order it again if given the option. The truffle fries though were delicious--perfectly fried and seasoned. I would definitely order again. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. I would definitely return here if in the area again.

The food was good but the portions were very small. The service could have been more prompt. For the price this place should be on point!

Had lunch there today. I had the pimento sandwich with fries. It was good, just a tad over-priced for what you're actually getting.

It was my wife's birthday, and thus she had the privilege to choose where we would go for brunch…read more I had previously decided that I would not dine at this restaurant again, not because I had some gripe about the food, which was excellent, but because their table arrangement in the main dinning area made it difficult for wheelchair bound customers, such as myself, to navigate. This was not a hard and solid decision on my part. Instead I had decided that if I had my druthers, I would not eat there. Of course when it is my babécita's birthday my druthers were of no consideration and I found myself again at Tamara's for a Saturday brunch. We arrived to find the main dinning area to be full, and since we didn't feel like eating in the open to the outside area, we learned that we had an estimated 20-30 minutes wait for a table. Their was six to eight customers waiting around the hostess's stand inside, with another six waiting outside under a covered area. We decided to wait outside, but after about 15 minutes a rain shower began. The kind people waiting on the benches and standing under the awning encouraged us to move in further from the edge where they we were getting wet. A couple standing moved into the restaurant to make even more room for us. The hostess, seeing that it was raining outside when this couple opened the door, came to the door and invited us all in, announcing that she would make room for us all. Which she promptly did. My wife had informed the hostess of my needs, and had requested a corner table for ease of access, but once inside the restaurant, I noticed that the table arrangement seemed less crowded, which helped to ease my concerns about getting to a table. As it happened, right at the 20 minute mark, we were informed that our table was ready, and we were led to a table, not on a corner, but to a table at the end of a row of tables, and against a partition. I found this arrangement even better than our requested corner table, as it meant that I had no foot traffic behind me that I might inadvertently bump into, or bump into me. I was grateful for the evidently experienced hostess working out such a fine alternative to our request, and doing it in such a timely manner. Now I get to the food, and wait staff service. All I can say is that Tamara's management has both pegged to the highest degree. Our waiter appeared immediately, took our orders since we had perused the menu while we were waiting to be seated. As for our food, my birthday girl had the Spinach Eggs Benedict, and I had the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Both were excellent. Neither of us had a single complaint, and my wife, who is fascinated with Tamara's long list of various types of Eggs Benedicts, promised that we will be back for many more visits to try each one. I am grateful that I was forced to forego my pledge not to patronize this establishment again, as it provided an opportunity to learn how the good people at Tamara's made adjustments that allowed my experience to be enjoyed more fully. I am also grateful in that we can continue to enjoy their excellent food.

First off, the ambiance is very nice--comfortable, welcoming, and a great setting for a casual evening out. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive and friendly, which definitely made a positive impression. As for the food: * Raw oysters ($22): Fresh, plump, and overall very good quality. That said, it almost felt like each oyster had a bit of added salt, which threw me off a little. Not bad, just slightly off from what I'd expect. * Sushi-grade ahi tuna appetizer ($14): This was one of the highlights--very good flavor and nicely prepared. * Gumbo (large - $12): Probably the biggest disappointment. I'd rate it about a 5/10. It wasn't terrible, but it lacked depth and richness compared to what you'd expect in this region. * Happy hour mimosa ($3) and margarita ($6): Solid for the price--no complaints there. Total came out to about $62 cash ($64.30 with card fee), which feels reasonable for what we ordered. Overall, this is a place I'd come back to if I were already in the area and someone suggested it, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. If I did return, it would likely be for the oysters or the ahi tuna. Good experience, just not quite memorable enough to push it past three stars.

Next she had the pork chop with peach and bacon chutney over pimento cheese grits. The Pork chop was perfect. The chutney, one bite was very heavy on the vinegar. I had the fried chicken tasso gravy, hot honey, marinated sweet potato. This was an exceptional dish and was full when I finished. It was a good experience. Given it was a Friday night at 6ish. We tried ordering drinks but our waitress had no idea what kind of wine they sold so she had to go check. When she returned we ordered drinks and when the drinks showed up we ordered the small beef and cheese dip, they also brought chips and salsa that was very tasty. She ordered a fahita steak quesadilla, she said it was very salty and average at best. I had the enchilada supreme with no sour cream, I was very clear and even said it twice. Our meals showed up before our "starter" beef and cheese dip. Mine had sourcream on it so I asked them to fix it as ordered. Next the dip showed up and the cheese had a thick skin over top of the cheese, it too was average. My enchilada showed up and it appeared they scraped off the sour cream and re applied the lettuce, etc. The problem is by then, the enchiladas were not very hot and the fries were soggy, luke warm and not crispy. The manager did come over and asked about our meal, I replied it was just ok, that was as nice as I could be. He offered to make it good on our next visit, I told him not to do so, he said he could fix it, but our meal was over at this point. Dropped into the Bayside Grill on night 1. Requested a table, and they took my phone number (obviously to text me when it was ready)... they then gave our table away to another party because we "walked away" (we stepped just outside the door by their back patio). When confronted, they said "we couldn't find you"... you had my NUMBER! They apologized for the poor communication but offered the choice of a 45 minute wait or sitting at two different tables. Finally got seated at a make shift combination of circular tables that they graciously but awkwardly pressed together. The server was beyond flustered and unprofessional - apron a complete mess and falling off, confused, and generally frazzled... bro are you on vacation too? How many drinks have you had? The table we should have gotten looked like the waitress was managing the party pretty well. It took 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive, another 45 minutes for the apps to arrive. Then another 20 minutes for the entrees. The food was good. Legitimately tasty! Or maybe my entire party was just starving by this point (kids started to melt). The apps were good, most of the entrees and sides were good, the ribeye had good flavor but lacked a good sear, and the espresso martini was watered down (nobody at the table finished theirs). Really hoping that they're having "opening day" type troubles since it's one of the first busy weekends of spring... but I expected a significantly higher level of service based on the staff at check in. I would have thought that being in the business for over a hundred years would have helped construct solid processes and procedures. Cheers to 4 more days in Fairhope.
