We tried this place out with a few friends last year. It was such a neat place to visit. We love the beer selection and space to sit down. Their food was phenomenal as well! My only rec. is to add heaters when the back area is open. Wishing this business much success, can't wait to go back soon. read more

Trash service. They announce last call for food orders and then insist you take it to go, and rush you out the door. One of the male servers with the long hair and pony tail was beyond rude. He dropped my burger on the table and said "I can give you 10 minutes to eat this then you gotta go" When I asked for a napkin they were making remarks about us to the rest of the staff. My party of 10 people were very uncomfortable with how they treated us. Being that we paid $16 a burger you'd think it would be decent service? read more

Thompson Brewing is family owned & operated. As soon as you walk in you can feel it in the atmosphere they have created. It feels like you are dinning in the Thompson's back yard - that homey and welcoming vibe. This place is great for a night out with friends or an evening out with the whole family. The crispy fried pickles and organic vegan patty as a classic patty was delicious! As well as the Pub Burger made with organic grass fed beef. You can definitely taste the quality of ingredients in each meal and the love in the beer. I cannot wait to explore more of the menu! read more

Great place to chill with the kids and get a good bear. I love sours and there's are great!

Friday night long week Mr.GC was tired and was looking forward to a simple night of food, beer and relaxing conversation. We walked in clean white atmosphere, kinda going towards a modern strimline feel to me. Color wooden chairs tucked in under a dark solid counter table top. Our cashier which I believe is the owner and master mind behind the food. I know there establishment is family owned cause I looked it up. We ordered a flight and with quite a selection of food between Mr.GC and I. The majority of or 4oz. Beers were light. Types were, Cranberry, cherry, pear, Belgium, and Carmel whisky ale which was the only dark we got. We try to change it up. The food was delicious upscale beer food, gourmet style for sure. Off the sharable we chose the cucumber sides, I liked them it was quite refreshing.. a nice break from the fried foods. Mr.GC and I both wanted to try the fried grilled cheese wrapped in cornflakes for the breading, of course he wanted the jalapeño version including his main meal which was this supreme style beef hotdog. Oozing white cheese, cream sauce packed with eye popping green jalapeño peeping through. It did end up all over his shirt. Lol... can't take him nowhere. I had to go with the Bratwurst covered in brown mustard, sauerkraut, pickled onions on top of a warm kozy pretzel bun. It was delicious and to add spicy mustard for the kick, made it amazing. I would go back just for the dog. Out of our flight we didn't choose any of them. We both ended liking Imperial Irish red. Ordering a glass of it or two. The game taboo was on the table, so I asked Mr.GC if he wanted to play or ever had, he said no.... So of course what do I do... I teach him and we start playing. I was just rolling on how his mind process to describe words...no matter what it was he used it some way to do with private parts. It was just classic fun and laughter as it should be... No cell phones. Oh forgot we also ordered the chicken wings. What I liked about them was the fact they weren't drench in a sauce but you got to dip into several flavor. They were little baby fried chickens eating them with no sauce had tasty flavor. Overall experience, food was enjoyable, friendly staff, yummy meal, with a nice beer to wash it down. read more

Was in Riverside from out of town and swung by Thompson Brewing for lunch on a recommendation of a friend (and the Internet). Open, comfortable decor, a very decent array of beers (not just an Sour/IPA house) and even better the food was delicious. Would love for this family-run place to have a branch near where I live. Two ecstatic thumbs up! read more

Such a cool little place, with a fun menu. My whole family, 8 year old included, enjoy going here. She loves the root beer, and my husband and I love their fun craft beer selection (of course!). The menu would be considered upscale bar food. They have different types "loaded" fries and tater tots, which you can add cheese, onions, bacon, chili, blue cheese, jalapeño and so on. They have fun gastropub type hamburgers and "shareables"- which include crusted wings, cucumber bites, and other cool little bite size items. Beer is good, lots of Belgian types, which is a nice change from some of the other breweries that try to "hop" you to death. read more

This place is great! Not only are the beer and food amazing but the atmosphere is also really cool. Plenty of space to hang out both inside and outside. It's family-owned and operated and they are the nicest people. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering. read more

I love this place so much that I come all the way from Irvine. The food is amazing. Their Chef Corey has been producing some amazing stuff. And of course the BEER, sweet nectar of the gods! Thompson brewing has been making the best beer for years. Having the ability to get food now just adds to it. Brian and Martha are the owners and really create a family environment. My only complaint is it so far from where I live! But guess that's my problem. read more

Looking for a great non chain burger place, read they had great bisquits and gravy (saturday 12 to 4). Burger was great, nothing overpowered in taste, all worked well together. Tried the mac and cheese crisp, great flavor and texture, best mac n cheese ever(and I don't like mac n cheese). Biscuits are home made as is the gravy great flavor. Owner is very personable. They have a variety of seating choices, but at some point with as busy as they are could use an upgrade. That is the only reason not a 5th star read more

Fun, local family-run brewery with a good variety of beers, food, patio, and games. I tried this brewery with my brother-in-law over 5 years ago when they were just starting out in an industrial park with their 2 kids hanging out. They now have a much bigger space, and the kids are grown and working there. Very cool. I like the flights - 6 for about $6. I tried everything from some light sours to Belgians to IPAs to stouts, with most beers rating good to very good. I liked seeing some uncommon styles like ESB, and the scotch ale was particularly good. FYI ABVs listed at the brewery may be different from what's on Untappd. Family and friends really liked what they had. (We didn't try the food - maybe next time.) read more

Came in today for the first time and was greeted by the owner Brian I believe great guy and the service was great as well, had a few beers and they were all very delicious, the nut brown ale and corn lager are my favorite, I'll definitely be coming back to TBC , highly recommend to all you craft beer drinkers out there And to the Thompson fam keep up the great work Cheers :) read more

Stopped in on Fathers Day Sunday after leaving a tasting at ROUTE 30 Brewery across the street. It was my first time at both. We thought they were closed, but a patron at ROUTE 30 advised they were open for a special Father's Day event. It was near to closing, but my husband and I thought we'd stop by to check it out for the next time we were in the area. We were so happy that we did. The owner Brian welcomed us as soon as we walked in, after explaining that we just wanted to check out the Brewery, he let us know of all the areas they had and even let us sample some splashes of beer. It was such a good feeling to see a family owned business like this. We even had a chance to try some AMAZING mixed berry cobbler that was on special for the day! They had plenty of seating areas, fresh homemade food options, lot's of variety for beer options, and kid friendly. Comic books, darts, lots of board games, life size jenga and connect four, and so much more. Can't wait to come back with my husband and kids to have a full experience. read more

Love this place. The food is great and we love the blond beer and lemonade. The only draw back is seating. The have plenty of it just not if you have any physical limitations (I have bad knee and can't do the tables outside and can't navigate stairs easily) other than that this place only gets 5 stars. Good food good beer and great staff! read more

They switch up their beers and the flavors never disappoint, always so good! The food is Ahhhhhhmazing ! Most breweries do not have food but this place has such GREAT tasting food and generous portions. You get your money's worth on everything at Thompson's. Also I have coordinated a couple bday parties/get together's and they are so accommodating with making sure we all have space and are comfortable to enjoy ourselves. Kid friendly too! read more

It's the right spot. They have great beers .. small ownership, but I recommend it, and I give them a 4 in half for trying. Come here!

Customer service and food are great. They truly went above and beyond for our large party. I totally recommend this place.

This place is awesome!! I started with the 2oz "sample" of 6 of their beers and then the pitchers were flowing! We had a party of 8 and they were extremely accommodating and so kind. The food was incredible!! The entire table ordered something different and each person loved their food. I had the jalapeño dog and their sauces were what made it over the top delicious! 5 stars for food and 5 stars for the beer! Excellent gem in riverside and it's run by an incredibly nice family! read more

The food is always amazing! From-scratch fried pickles and ranch are a must-try. The employees go out of their way to suggest drinks and food you might like based on your preferences. There's an open back patio with tables and a huge connect 4 game. Upstairs has a big Scrabble board. There's a kids' corner with toys too. On the weekend they have adult slushees, spoon-straw and everything. read more

First, I'm going to say that the food was unbelievably delicious, and the staff was super duper friendly. That being said, if you have never been here, and are expecting an actual restaurant where you are seated and served, you will be disappointed. It's more of a fast food type place where you walk up to the counter, place your order, and someone brings it to you. I was off put by this my first time there, and felt like someone should have put this in a review, so people aren't expecting one thing, and show up to something completely different. I feel like the name implies sit down and be served restaurant for some reason. read more

First timer at Thompson Brewing and it was GREAT! An article on Pe.com made me aware of this brewery. The beers were great and so was the food I decided to try out the Pub Burger which was the one PE recommended definitely lived up to the hype. We were also able to use a coupon purchased on Groupon. Overall great experience and I will be back. read more

Thompson Brewing - Two flights for only $19 with a Groupon code. - American Near Me - Riverside, California

Been coming here for a few months now and it was nothing but the best. But this last time was horrible. I ordered take out and it was wrong when I got home. When I called to let them know it was wrong the guy on the phone was very unconcerned about it and with how much I go there it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I will say I did go back and they remade the part of the order that was wrong but by the time I got back home everything else was ice cold. Not sure when I'll be going back at this point. read more

Beer was good, food was good, COVID safety precautions: pretty bad. We went yesterday for the time time and were impressed by the beer selection and the bbq brisket offerings. We got the burger, which was ok, not great, but a generous size. The beer was also yummy. We thought we had found a post-climbing spot to refuel. That was until we got up to leave and saw that there were other customers in line to order not wearing masks, and the staff did not ask them to put them on. Other customers who had been dining in were also walking around the front dining area (indoors) without masks and the staff again said nothing. Customers at the order counter talking directly with the staff, not wearing masks. Then to top it off, we saw two staff members, both of whom handled food in the grill and as runners, not wearing masks and talking like it was no big deal. We got a really bad vibe of the place then and there. It honestly felt like we were at some Trumpster rally. What a disappointment. Regardless of how tasty the food and beer may be, we can't return to a food establishment that disregards the seriousness of the pandemic and has such poor restaurant safety policies with its staff and customers. read more

Great beer, great food, awesome staff. The Mosaic IPA and Honey Blonde were our favorites. Went this past weekend with my GF and out dog. Patio is huge (Its basically the back of the building) Bacon tator tots were excellent, Wings and mozzarella sticks were so good. Definitely coming back. read more
