"Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man." is the reason I prefer Ace over the big box stores when it comes to finding tools or other supplies which I need help with. Ace Hardware stores are usually privately owned franchises which employ those who know what they are doing when it comes to hardware; plus I'm a little bias since my family owns several stores in the middle Georgia reason. But seriously though if you need help you are more than likely to find it at Ace over Lowe's and Home Depot. This store location is right down from my house and carries all the hardware needs I need. When I've stopped by the staff has been friendly, attentive, and helpful; always making sure I get what I need. The store is fully stocked, clean, and has plenty of parking out front. read more

What!?!?? This place has way more then just your standard hardware store!! I came in for something boring ( Nails) but left with some cool stuff! They had all kinds of home decorations, candles, cool gifts, and way more home stuff. They still have all your regular hardware store stuff but I was surprised at all the other stuff! There are quite a few hardware stores in our area so it is important that another one have something the other "bigger" stores don't! 1st thing is I think what Ace has going for it is better versed employees in the sections they work..in other words they know what they are talking about and the products they have! Nothing is more frustrating then going to get advice/ halo on a project and the employee knows less then you! 2nd when what needed, a very small drill bit, they ordered some for me and it will take about 4 days to get here! He knew where to look on his computer to find what I wanted and the owner (?), Jacqueline, ordered for me! They are more then just hardware too...they had tons of items for the house and garden to decorate with! I even bought some goat milk, scented hand cream as stocking stuffers. read more

First, go here before you go to a major chain. Here's why , you are greeted immediately by genuine employees who have manners, next the employees actually know their job and can help you find the right tools because they are equipped with knowledge. They can even think outside the box to help you find screws for a crib. This happened to my situation and the gentleman and friendly lady helped find the correct bolts for a custom crib. As far as offering of products in employee to customer ratio I would give them a four out of five stars however as far as customer service goes they missed the mark substantially. While shop in the isles I need to use the restroom I was told by an employee that they were out of order and then when I asked what they do if they need to use the restroom during their 6 to 8 hour shift they said they simply hold it. When pressed a little bit more they said they were following the owners instructions of what to say so here you have a hardware store with every necessary item needed to repair a bathroom not meeting one of the basic needs of operating a business and instructing their employees to lie. There are way too many options for other hardware stores and while I was attempting to support small local business this one will not get my patronage any longer. read more

We went for the grand opening sales and they had some great ones. It is family owned so you know they are more customer focused than a big chain store. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. If you sign up for their rewards Lin you get discounts and coupons e-mailed to you. The store was very nice as it is brand new. Will definitely be returning. We got an umbrella for our picnic table at a price that can't be beat! They don't have the large gift shop portion of the store but what they did have was beautiful stuff. I have been working on my grandmas house the past few weeks which Ace is located right next to her house. I have been coming in here every few days to purchase tools and gloves and other supplies needed. I purchased a craftsman shop vac and I didn't use a ace card (because I was not a frequent shopper here) just the past few weeks, and paid cash. The vac was clearly not used and it was only about 35$ I understand without a receipt I cannot get my money back but I would have accepted store credit as I am still doing work. The lady at the register was rude. The owner said no without even coming out she just told the cashier no through the ear piece. I suggest going to Lowe's where they have great customer service. read more

This store has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I asked for propane and had a few items the cashier rang me up and then called for someone to come fill my tank. My husband went to get the tank out of my car and the guy filled it up and THEN asked for the receipt. My husband had to walk over to my car and then I had to search everywhere for it and then he walked over to the guy and handed it to him. He told him it wasn't on the receipt. My husband then walked back to my car and told me. I then had to walk back inside to the store. I told the cashier would you mind ringing me up for the propane this time? I shouldn't have to come back inside you need to pay attention. He rang it up and apologized and I was good. Didn't say anything else and this lady came over and said everyone makes mistakes. And I agreed. She then said you don't need to talk to my associate that way. I was flabbergasted. I just looked at her and then she said don't come back to this store. I said oh don't worry I won't! And either will everyone I know! I normally really try to support small businesses but this one has no care for the customer. If she had not said anything at all and kept her big mouth shut it would have been fine. The kid apologized and I was good. Poor service will cost them their business. read more

Ran in to get my propane tank filled. Looked around and found a few other things i wanted. Everyone seemed friendly but the prices seemed a bit high. Get to the register and i let the cashier know i need my tank filled. Swipe my card and i'm off to fill my tank. Wait for the guy to fill my tank a bit later here he comes. I hand him my tank and receipt so he can see that I paid. But apparently the guy at the register did not charge me for the tank but called for the guy to come fill my tank. The guy out there insinuated I was trying to steal something. When I went inside to pay for the tank The cashier acted like he didn't know I was getting a tank of gas even though he's the one that called the guy to come fill my tank. Basically a big misunderstanding but the way they handled that really left a bad taste in my mouth. And I will never ever ever return to that store. Everyone makes mistakes but it's all about what you do to try to correct those mistakes. read more
