I really like having this ACE Hardware store available as sometimes it has things that Home Depot doesn't supply for me. One of them is the air filter for my HVAC. But I also like the garden flags they offer. I've picked up a few of the patriotic variety and team ones. Another thing they hear that's good on my end is their excellent BBQ sauces for grilling. I have a Traeger and can easily pick their products up at Home Depot, once again. However, unless I'm missing something, I would say that this ACE shop has much more to offer in this area. I've picked up a few sauces and spices here recently. Speaking of that, the grill section of this store has an expert on grills designated to work this section. I've had great conversations with him and you'll learn a ton from him! He also knows the best sauces and spices as well! I can note that courtesy by everyone who works at this ACE Hardware store has been stellar. Never been disrespected or ignored here. I will say the value of what you purchase is pretty much in line with the other competing hardware stores I have visited. I can note that Home Depot gives a military discount to veterans and active duty. But ACE does their discounting differently. You won't get a military discount here, but you pick up points when you order if you subscribe their app. I'm seeing new deals on discounts quite frequently, so it's possible that it may equal what Home Depot does in the end. ACE carries the big name like Milwaukee, Stahl, DeWalt, among others. They have a large garden area which carries solid variety of plants, and other outdoor goods. I'm very happy to live so close to an Ace Hardware- why? Because of a more personalized customer service! John had picked up fireplace tools and a log holder- but we returned the holder because it did not look like the picture on the box- no worries, the return was super easy! Meanwhile I wandered the store and of course, landed out in the garden center! They had brand new hibiscus plants they were putting out with gorgeous colors! I snagged one, and continued to browse with the pot on my hip. They have these stunning wind art for your yard that I really really want! The price tag had me shy away- but maybe I can get one in the future! An artistic spin on a windmill. The young lady in the garden center was very helpful and there was a young man inside who asked me a couple times if I needed anything- he even knew where to point me when I couldn't find John! lol. We grabbed a few extra things for the house while we were there and left happy! I'll be back for the garden center for sure! You should see the selection of planters! read more

I stopped by Turner Ace Hardware for the first time during Covid 19 looking for cages for my tomatoes and cucumbers. I went on a weeknight and was pleased the place wasn't too crowded. The staff were very helpful as I had to ask for two items I cold not find and both times I was directed to each. First the vegi cages then the vegi plant bug killer ($16.99). Once I picked up both items I kept browsing as it was nice to be in a store:) I found a cute succulent plant for $5.99 and a pot for $9.99 to add to my summer patio collection. I loved this store. If you have an outdoor space Ace is a great place to find items to fill it up. Anything from patio chairs to pots (small, medium and large) and plants. And they have a clearance section too. This Ace Hardware has the kindest garden center staff. Cliff in particular has helped me with so many times with various needs in both my garden and flowerbeds. This past Monday Cliff took about 30 minutes of his time looking through the photos I brought him to help me save my plants that were hit pretty hard from the cold weather. Poor experience. My husband brought his chainsaw to get repaired. They called and left a message once that it was ready for pickup. He was traveling for work and called back the following week and they told him he was too late and they sold his chainsaw. What a terrible business practice. I visited the store yesterday in hopes to finally buy planters for my pool deck that I've been eyeing for a while. When walking in I was greeted by the guy at the front working the cash register. Then again when I turned the door to head out to the outdoor area. They asked what I was looking for and I have a brief explanation and kept walking to the outside. While looking at the planters Kyle came out to check to see if I needed help. He helped me pick out and load up the large planters I had been looking at. I then asked if he had any expertise on picking out plants to fill it with. He and another girl that was out in the garden section, I can't remember her name maybe started with a C we're SO beyond helpful in helping pick the plants and soil I needed. Kyle also helped me load everything into my car. I'm so happy I went to this store over any other. The customer service was beyond amazing!! Will be a long time customer. read more

Although initially pleased with quick delivery, we DO NOT like the company's inability to stand behind their product! We used our grill once and were not pleased with the cooking quality. Tried to return it and were told that there is NOTHING they can do to help us for a grill that has already been cooked on. WHAT A JOKE!!!! Can't believe the "3 year warranty" doesn't even hold up for 24 hours! HOPING the store owner will take it back but it looks highly unlikely. We recently purchased a Traeger grill from this Ace Hardware (Turners) and were completely satisfied! Their customer service was great and they even delivered F.O.C. on a SUNDAY! This store reminds us of how important it is to do business with a local Mom & Pop business. How much fun is this store?! It is not just a hardware store. My parents recently moved down here and they have gotten many new items for their house. They have really cool decorations and beautiful tables for both indoor and outdoor use. The decor that they sell is perfect for a beach house. This place probably has everything you need and are looking for. They have lots of plants and outdoor items and of course hardware. IF YOU NEED METRIC LUG NUTS AND SCREWS, DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH ANOTHER STORE. GO STRAIGHT TO ACE HARDWARE ON ATLANTIC BLVD. I was at Ace Hardware on Atlantic Blvd on Wednesday 05/08/19 around 4-30pm. Chandeliers which I ordered from online had missing lug nuts and screws but the problem was lug nuts and screws what I was looking for, were metric and before going to Ace I went to Home Depot and Lowe's. I work very hard in my regular job 7am-7pm every day and only my off days Wednesdays and Saturdays which I am trying spend maximum with my family but between Home Depot and Lowe's I lost about 1 hour and half with no result. Finaly one of salesperson at Lowe's told me check Ace Hardware. When I went inside Ace, Randy ( hopefully I am spelling his name right ) saw me and offered me his help. In about fifteen minutes Randy VERY PATIENTLY found me everything I needed. When I came home all lug nuts, screws, and plastic washers worked perfectly fine for my chandeliers. Thank Randy for saving my time and thank Ace management for hiring a valuable employee like Randy. read more

I love this Ace. It's not really the prices that bring me in - you can find most things cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes. The people are what bring me back in here. Hardware stores are a little overwhelming if you don't know what you are looking for. There are 20 types of fertilizer to tend to 10 types of tomatoes that you can plant in one of the hundreds of pots or planters in any large hardware store. It gets out of hand fast.At Ace you have experts on pretty much any of the products in the store who can help you sort through all of the choices, where at Lowes you will be lucky to be directed to the right aisle for something. As far as selection goes, they have an awesome garden center outside to the left of the store. In addition to all of the plants they have a ton of outdoor furniture - swings, tables, terraces etc. Inside they have a good selection of home improvement things - tools and supplies to do pretty much anything you would want to do. They also carry a good selection of cool outdoorsy things like Yeti Coolers and Big Green Eggs. read more

So irritated by Lowe's stores. I went to purchase a sander on my lunch break and had a question. Since the Tool World was near the employee clock in and out they had to stand right next to me to sign in. I spoke to 4 employees who tried to dodge me and after "I can't help you let me call someone" (three of those calls) never had anyone show up. The Customer service sucks. Employees could tell I had questions and I stood in the middle isle for THIRTY MINUTES in a full blown suit and heels. Employees were dodging or pretending they didn't hear me say "excuse me". Disgusting! I left Lowe's drove to Ace Hardware. The moment I walked in I was immediately acknowledged. I didn't ask for help. Walked to the tool area. Someone came to me within 2 minutes again without being prompted. I have a Lowe's card and closing the account out today. I am making a personal commitment to never deal with Lowe's again. I can get my 10% military discount anywhere. Went to Ace hardware down Atlantic. I'm in love! Found my new store to shop!!!! read more

Ace is the place you find what the big box don't have. In this case they didn't but they normally do. They are very helpful and it is nice to see someone like their job. The folks here always seem nicer and maybe it is better to work for a locally owned operation then a big box store. I know I like working for a local guy too. read more

Great Organization. I ordered a grill and left it in the box for several months. Once I opened it I found out it was the correct grill with the incorrect features. I called David and told him what happened and he without any prompting told me he would get me the correct grill. I know a lot of other places would have not taken care of me. Buy your Big Green Egg here! We stopped to browse 30 minutes before they closed, and Kristy was happy to answer all our questions as if she had no place else to be on a Saturday night. We went back the next day to buy, and Kristy and Bob walked us through the options and made sure we knew all the tips and tricks needed to get started. The store cooks on their BGE every weekend! They offered us an assembled Egg at no extra charge, but when we opted for one in a box, Robert made sure to walk me through the tricky parts of assembly (it ended up being pretty straightforward). Kristy gave me her and her boss, Will's, cards and said to call if we had any issues. It's easy to believe that Turners will take good care of us if any warranty issues come up. Robert and Carl loaded everything in our car (like a game of Tetris) even taking care to protect the seats with pieces of cardboard! So different than one of those big box stores!
