Came in today to check out garden center for few hanging pots and planter replacements we needed. We were promptly greeted by Brandon upon arrival and asked what we were shopping for. He is a manager and is super knowledgeable about everything in stock, hour it grows, what it needs and helped us with some great suggestions for our needs. He was hustling the whole time we were there. I overheard another customer showing him pics in phone of plants and Brandon immediately knew what they were, if they had them in stock and where they were. This place is far from home but prices seem reasonable and they pack a huge amount of plants into a very small garden center!! read more

Another convenient hardware store option close to Nocatee. We've been shopping here off and on since they opened. Pretty good experience so far. Store: Has always been clean and have thus far avoided "overstock" spilling into the aisles. Organized and pretty easy to navigate. Stock: Well supplied, generally find what I need here. I wish there was slightly more selection in the gardening department (plants and flowers) and for out door planters/jugs/jars, etc. But with limited space you do need to make decisions on what sells! Have bought various nails and screws for a couple projects. Cleaning supplies, paint and paint supplies, along with some flowers here. Never had a quality issue to date. Staff: Friendly and helpful. It can be a little annoying to have a employee helping you find someone only to have another customer hijack their attention with another question, but it's a tough position to be in for a customer focused business. Can't fault them on this. Parking: This can be a pain during dinning times due to the popularity of their neighbors (Cantina Louie primarily). Recommend. Tip: If possible, avoid visiting during dinner rush hour so you can actually park! Why 4 instead of 5 stars? Parking and limited options that forced me on a couple occasions to drive to Home Depot (gasp!). But if at all possible, I'd come here instead of those huge box stores. read more

Had the most amazing experience at this Ace store! We were greeted by a nice young man as we entered the store. As we started down an aisle, he asked us if he could help us find something. He directed us to the exact aisle. As we started looking for another item, we saw him again and asked. He took us down another aisle and proceeded to help us with various options. He was so nice and helpful. It was a joy for sure. Later, I was able to find out his name is George! He is a HUGE asset to your store!!!!! Please share these comments with him. read more

Went to this Ace hardware to purchase a grill. The manager was about to leave but was asked to stay to speak with us. We asked a few questions and he did not want to help us at all. Even said a certain grill was not available but we knew otherwise. We left and went to another ACE and purchased the grill. If the manager needed to leave, he should have asked someone else to help us. read more

OK folks, I live 1.5 miles away and have been doing business with this store for 25 years. They are not perfect, but they are fair in price and have eager and fair customer service people who know their products and inventory. This is not a Home Depot. They do not have everything. But they remember your name and accept returns based on the fact they recognise you as a customer, no receipt required. I like them as people. They've been lifesavers to us Ponte Vedrans in the last few (and the current) hurricane. They over-ordered everything we needed, including generators, water, batteries, tape, tarps ... you name it. And they always seem to have a "secret stash" for the locals getting there a little late. Ponte Vedrans are not anything like South Floridians; we're much more Oak Park or Auburndale than Brooklyn or Cherry Hill. So its a different feel here and our Proctor Ace people fit us perfectly. -Greg read more

Terrible. Very disappointed. I spent an hour building the Weber grill I was sold today before I realized I had been charged full price for the lesser model. After waiting on hold for quite some time, Melissa, in the paint department, was quick to remedy the situation. I was told to return the grill I built in exchange for the floor model--assuming it was in good condition. It was NOT in good condition. There was a 4" long scratch across front and noticeable wear and scuffs. Bummer. Well, surely the store would discount this dirty floor model considering I'd just wasted an hour building them a grill I'd been overcharged for, right? Unfortunately, the Ace employee that made the mistake earlier in the day was quick to say "NO" and I'd have to take it as is. I would've been okay with an even exchange but full price for a banged up floor model? And after half my day was wasted building and returning the wrong grill? I'm glad this gentleman didn't put my wife or parents in this position. I don't know of any other store that would try and sell a worn floor model at full price after inconveniencing a loyal customer in their community. I promptly requested my money back. As an owner of my own company, I'd want to know this happened in my shop. I'd consider auditing the inventory to make sure the right products are going out find ways to ensure customers are getting what they've paid for. Isn't there protocol for selling banged up floor models? The rigid manager might've saved $20 today but he lost a family of customers for the foreseeable future. We'll be purchasing the same grill through Amazon--same product for the same price delivered (new and without scratches). read more

Ace is definitely our favorite 'helpful hardware' store. I will admit that I do go to some of the other stores in the area from time to time when shopping around or just looking for inspiration, but for certain things I don't go anywhere else. Like KEY COPIES! They - especially this location - make the best copies at the beach. When we were going overseas late last year we needed to give a key to the pet-sitter who would be taking care of our furry child. Sent husband to get the copy while I was working. First mistake, he didn't go to Ace. Second mistake, he didn't test the key to make sure it worked before we left! Needless to say, crazy coordination efforts ensued and everything worked out, but I will not let him forget that for a while. We were in the need of additional copies (again) and I decided to handle it myself. Ran out this morning to our neighborhood store and was immediately greeted by a helpful employee. She hand cut my keys and told me if they didn't work to bring them back and they would cut them again. Got home and they both worked with no issues at all. The attention you get here as a customer is so much warmer than any person typically offers when going to one of the bigger big-box stores. And it's that attention that will keep me coming back. read more

I am an 84 year woman and with my disabled daughter went to have a battery changed in a magnifying glass. The employee behind the counter changed the battery and told us the cost will be $4.57. When at the cash out the amount came to $9.18. The extra $5.00 was for labor which I was not told about. It was hurtful and disappointing and felt that I was taken available. read more

Horrible! An employee falsified documentation after equipment I purchased was stolen. In other words he helped facilitate a robbery that took place at my house. I called the owners to get answers. They avoided me and told the other employees not to speak to me. All I wanted was answers to how an employee can register equipment without a receipt? Instead they lied saying I requested this the day I purchased the items! I asked to see the tape and his story changed. Very shady and HORRIBLE customer service to say the least read more

A "helpful hardware" store. The store is well-laid out, clean and organized. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable. While you might find lower prices at the big box store, this store is convenient to Ponte Vedra residents who don't feel like wandering through acres of aisles trying to find things on their own. read more

This is my go-to location to purchase any and all Trex outdoor furniture. Everything comes already assembled, and I pay the same prices as the manufacture website. Ace has even been willing to deliver with no additional cost. This is a long-time family owned store with customer service like none other. They take pride in being able to offer personable service with a smile, unlike some box stores I won't name here. Try Proctor Ace, they are the best! read more

This Ace Hardware is a great place for most things home related. This part of Florida...Home Depot, or Target is a bit of a trip/drive, so this place comes in handy for any home hardware,related items. I have stopped in here a few time for things for my grill, garden, and even a gallon of paint. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable. Price are fair and reasonable. Selection of products is good. My one critique (you gotta have one for a fair review) is that the garden center area was kinda lacking in selection...it was pretty sparse. There is another Ace Hardware stores in Mandarin, with a much, much larger garden section. But, thats ok...I didn't come to this store for that reason. This time when I went to the store the service was sooooooo much better.....Lonnie knew or at least seemed to know about the product I was purchasing (still waiting to try it out) and I was helped in a timely fashion. Although, I was still not given good information when and who might be helping explain the product, the employees at least attempted to acknowledge that they were willing to be helpful. The guy who did provide a thorough explanation on the item I was purchasing went above and beyond expectations and that is what pushed my review to a four star. Wonderful neighborhood hardware store. Very friendly and helpful people. Always willing to go the extra steps to help. It is smaller than the neighboring Ace a few miles away (and store that has become more of a furniture store) but it is stocked with all the hardware and gardening supplies that you need. read more
