Generally speaking, I love Pat's Nursery. The staff always greets me immediately, is extremely professional and asks how they can assist. That being said, based upon our recent experience, I don't recommend their landscaping services. It's possible that the problem is the employee that came to our house to review what we wanted in order to give us a quote. Chuck was grumpy. My husband initiated the follow up call so we could discuss the proposal and we set up a time to meet. Our appointment was today and he wasn't there, but we did get a copy of his suggestions. We won't waste our time with a merchant that doesn't take the initiative to garner our business. Overall, Pat's Nursery is great. The landscaping experience was abysmal. We will move forward and get a quote from another vendor. read more

This place is perfect for a spring stroll, you can enjoy all the colors and grab some flowers for your garden, fruit trees, and succulents for your house. I wish more places had service like this - I had five people offer to help me in 10 minutes, and they genuinely meant it! Sometimes I just like to pop in and see what's new for the season because everything is so vibrant and well-organized. Walked in on a Sunday and while they were pretty busy they had plenty of employees willing and able to assist. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable and Mom and I were happy with our purchases. They have a wide selection of plants and landscaping to get your yard looking great. I came here on a Sunday because I wanted to take a look to see what is native to this area. They were one of the smaller nurseries that were open on a Sunday. I walked around for just a few moments before I was greeted by someone who asked if they could help me and there was a special Jasmine plant that I grew down in southern Florida that I loved and it turns out I can't grow it up here. It's too far north. But OK they have a lot of other things that you can grow up * North, but they were very knowledgeable, very helpful, Because it's some of their trees such as the maple tree pear tree were dead because it's winter. Absolutely! My family and I (3 households) have been going to Pat's for about 20 years. They have almost anything you are looking for, including plants, bushes, trees, pottery, sod, landscaping design and installation. I'm just naming some of what they offer and have available. Their nursery layout is one of the prettiest I've seen, they have many friendly people working there that are happy to see you and welcome helping you however they can, and their pricing is good. I have to commend her for not only is she patient with someone who changes their mind often, she is also a wealth of information! Her knowledge of horticulture is beyond reproach, and her humor and professionalism are outstanding! I bought a couple of trees from Pat's Nursery five years ago and love them and it was time to add more greenery to my yard so of course where do I go hands-down Pat's nursery. I don't even try anywhere else I come directly here and I had the privilege and honor of getting to work with Lori. I cannot stress again, her patience as I was all over the map and she explained things in a way that I understood what she was talking about and helping me make the right decision for my plant needs. We've enjoyed Pat's plants and staff for years. Picked up a large load of stone and my trailer tires were suffering from low pressure. HORRIBLE! I read the lies online and thought that they were a good and reputable company but they operate in lies and deceit! We don't make a lot of money but we fell in love with this beautiful Palm tree and spent almost $600 on Black Friday to purchase it. We had just purchased a new home and the tree that the builders had died and they refused to replace it. So here we are, following EVERY SINGLE INSTRUCTION on the sheet that they give you on how to properly care for the palm and then a cold freeze happens and our beautiful tree is gone! I go back and speak to the owner and asked him why did they not tell us to cover the tree during cold weather, why was that not listed on the instruction sheet? I'm from Va and had no idea that a tree needed to be covered here! He had the NERVE to say that he does not print it on the sheet because he doesn't want to "scare" people! What???? So just let their hard earned money go to waste? He just shrugged and said trim the leaves and buy our fertilizer! Wow. Never! A! GAIN!!! read more

Lots of staff o hand to assist and get you a cart and load your car easy pay process and tons of variety with large healthy plants for a very decent price compared to the big box. So for price, service and quality this place blows the other places out of the water. I found some large plants to make my garden a lush tropical paradise. read more

We were looking for citrus trees for our yard and Pat's was the only nursery open around on Sunday ... we had never been there but have driven past it before, so we decided to take a drive and check it out. First impression, lots to choose from, well-cared for plants and good customer service right away. When we had some questions, we found a gentlemen named Terry. Wow, he was a wealth of information and so helpful. He also took time to help us pick out the right flowers for our front flowerbed as well as explained to us what we needed to make sure our lemon tree would be healthy. This seems like a pretty decent sort of nursery. The staff is very helpful in that they immediately walk up to you as soon as you drive onto the property so they can ask you what they can help you with. They have a good selection of trees and bushes. There's a lot of flowers even in winter. It looks like they care for their products on a regular basis. While online reputations are typically extremely credible, I honestly cannot understand how Pat's Nursery has received such high ratings. I was looking for an evergreen tree for our backyard and asked about different options. Pat (the owner) was very helpful over the phone, suggested several options, and also included prices. I wrote everything down. He quoted $195 for a 30 gallon bottle brush tree, $65 for delivery, and $100 for installation. Now admittedly I'm not good at math, but my calculator is, and the total comes to $360. When I took a special trip to Pat's Nursery - about 20 miles one way from our home - driving through traffic, and taking my time to pick out the exact bottle brush tree for our yard, the prices suddenly changed. Keep in mind this was not two weeks, two months, or two years after speaking with Pat and receiving quotes over the phone, but two days. When I showed up the $195 price changed to $225, a difference of $30. The installation also increased from $100 that I was quoted over the phone two days earlier to $125, and when Pat himself was writing up the invoice he included an additional $25 charge for fertilizer, $20 for some kind of a "stability stick" (can't remember the exact verbiage), and an additional charge for some special treatment for the roots to prevent shock. The total was well beyond what I was quoted over the phone, and I let Pat know. He really didn't seem phased, so I left. I was in sales for 14 years and retired early at the age of 46, despite the fact that I lived in a homeless shelter when I graduated high school (I did not come from an affluent or privileged background by any means). One of the foundations for my success as a sales rep (and landlord for nearly 20 years) was that I have ALWAYS been UPFRONT with my customers. When I provided a quote, I provided the OUT THE DOOR TOTAL, and NEVER obscured hidden fees or surprises for my customers. No one likes that. I'm sorry, but based on my interaction I would not recommend Pat's Nursery and will be taking my business elsewhere. Always remember to under promise and over deliver; do not do the opposite. read more

As a local, we just discovered Pat's Nursery. Pat actually greeted us when we walked on the property. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the effort. I have shopped Pat's a few times, they are fairly competitive with the big box stores on price, the difference here is clearly the service. Each time I have arrived upon exiting my vehicle someone was there asking me what I needed, each time I have given my reason for shopping I was led directly to the product I was looking for and the associate was knowledgeable every time. It is a fairly efficient operation, I am usually in and out fairly quickly with exactly what I need. There has not been any upselling or pressure other than any recommendations of items that would prevent me from having a return trip to do it right, which I appreciate. They have definitely earned a customer for life with me. I highly recommend them. read more
