Southern Tree Farm

About 3 years ago, I bought four beautiful trees from Southern Tree Farm and had them planted by…read morethe company. Two trees were in small containers and they have done wonderfully well after planting! However, the two larger trees have struggled for three years and one of the trees is slowly falling to pieces. The one that is clearly going to die had a cut main root when it was planted. I was told by the staff that it would live if it survived the year. It survived but is not going to be here by next year. The other large tree is struggling but might make it. I've recently read that when planting trees from containers you must unroll the root ball. I know this wasn't done and I suspect it is the main problem. The dying tree can easily be rocked back and forth and could probably be pushed over. The roots have not spread out. I've used other Shaw service with good results but I don't think I will in the future.

They mostly do catalog business but sell direct. We were shown the different types of material choices and went for the better quality this time. They sell all kinds of flags & buntings and custom banners in all kinds of sizes. They also sell flag poles. We had a nice time chatting with the ladies who were quite helpful.
