I was clueless until I met the guys at Brinton. I knew I didn't want to go to Lowe's or Home Depot, they don't have a great selection of colors and I had A LOT of questions. I needed an expert.... I walked in and was met by several friendly faces. The guy that helped me (Justin) was SUPER informative..I was given application options, samples, a variety of stain and paint choices that I wouldn't be able to find anywhere else, PLUS a live tutorial in essence...he talked me through the process, step by step, with really detailed instructions and loads of tips and advice. I am so thankful I went here first! ((Plus the prices are AMAZING!!!!))

When I arrived at the store no one was in there except me, however I was left for about 5 minutes before anyone helped me. Once someone did ask if I needed help (obviously, I'm standing looking directly at the counter) they then proceeded to tell me they couldn't color match the door. No samples could be given because they didn't have any base to mix colors and their fast drying door paint wasn't available. Overall, I only got told what couldn't be done from a store that specializes in paint. No offers of any like colors was made or which products would work best in a metal door. Interestingly, their color match app was able to match the door paint so I don't understand how the store couldn't do it. I left and went to Home Depot. See that review for a polar opposite experience. You couldn't pay me to ever come back to this store. They don't care about selling their products or helping a customer. They're a total waste of time.

After browsing I could tell why most people shop for paint at the big box stores such as myself. Their stain is twice as much as you would pay for at HD. That being said I had a 30% off coupon and from what I've read SW paint is Superior to even the best Behr brand. Ben gave some good recommendations and even told me about the specials they have and upcoming specials they will be having. That alone deserves 5 stars. I have yet to use the stain due to my schedule and will be back in the next month to buy a dozen more gallon of stain and rent their paint machine. I'll update the review if my 5 star experience changes.

I stopped in today to look at my options to prep and paint my in-ground gunite swimming pool which to me is a daunting task. Thankfully the staff here put my mind at ease - they have the right products and the expertise. This first trip which was part of my due diligence turned out to be my saving grace, sure you can find anything you need online but nothing replaces talking face to face with an expert, especially one who understands the challenges and the complete process. This is a beautiful store filled with everything you need whether you're a professional or a DYI type person like myself - it's rare to find this level of customer service and knowledge these days at a retail store. I still have some work to do prior to start the painting process but now I'm confident that I've found the right place to get all the supplies and support to complete my project - what I thought may be a weekend project turns out to be a project that requires a few weeks to get the results I'm looking for, when considering the prep work, dry time after pressure washing, first and second coat cure times before refilling and starting the pool back up. Stopping in here was a great choice I'm so happy there are still place like this in my neighborhood...
