Customer service at Ace is excellent! Before Christmas, I was looking for a gift for my husband that was useful, not frivolous! A gentleman at Ace went out of his way to help me find just the right gift. He was helpful, kind and so patient with me. I described my husband to him- his age, what he liked doing, etc and asked him for ideas. He showed me several items that he thought might work for my husband. Found the perfect gifts! He had helped my husband and me in the past when we were looking for some teeny, tiny screws to repair a lantern. He knows his merchandise, brought out just what we needed and helped us repair it! It's employees like Ralph who will keep us coming back to Ace! By the way, on the way out recently, they had a Christmas gift wrapping table set up. Two ladies wrapped my husbands gifts! My mother is a serious gardener and she will tell you this is the best Ace Hardware in town. We were just in today in search of a Mother's Day gift for my grandmother (also a gardener). They have a nice mix of functional home/outdoor stuff, cute decorative items, and plants. The garden center is huge and includes an inside and outside section. We were just kind of wandering through, not in search of anything particular but every employee we came across offered to help us. There is a cute, very chill cat that hangs out in the garden area and loved some attention while she laid in the sun. Check the back corner of the greenhouse-y inside-ish garden area for "sale" plants (my mom got a couple of African violet plants for $1 a piece). While you're browsing inside, be sure to stop at the popcorn machine (near the middle of the store) for a free bag of popped popcorn. read more

Scrolling down , l checked out a different offering. I located the item with a very realistic price point, placed my order and 24 hours later , l recd an email for an in-store/curbside pickup. I picked up this nostalgic item, Lysol Concentrate Disinfectant- Original and was very pleased with the friendly service provided by Ace Hardware where I usually purchase my other hardware/BBQ supplies. Well, I just got a Craftsman tool box for 193 pieces, a Craftsman 26.5 in. 6 drawer Steel Rolling Tool Cabinet and the Stanley Quick Change Blade, the price was super amazing, customer service was excellent. Kool Point, when I got out the store I notice that the Steel Rolling Tool Cabinet didn't fit in my car, so I stayed there trying to figure it out what to do, suddenly the store manager shows up and asked me if I need help, I explained the situation and without hesitation his answer was, well I have a Tundra... Without any type of hesitation he brought my Tool Cabinet home and that was one of the most amazing days that a man with a problem can have. Really a lot of props to the manager, which is funny that I never asked the name, but I am sure that I will see him again! read more

These guys are amazing! For the past 6 years, the kids and I go on Sundays (free popcorn) and get ice cold bottled root beer to drink while we walk the garden center and do our shopping. The staff is always so helpful and they make you feel like family, not just another customer they have to deal with. They've helped me with my projects from painting to yardwork to plumbing. Unlike the other big hardware chains like Lowe's and Home Depot, there's always someone around to help, and they all seem to know about every department. As for their flowers and plants, they might cost a few slats more, but I have yet to buy one that hasn't been hardy and healthy. The garden center lady (you'll know her by her cute straw hat) is nothing short of an expert and has helped me in several occasions identify the mysterious plant growing in my yard. There's even a garden cat you can see wandering in & out of the shade and garden center. If you want to see what real customer service is about, go visit Ace. Make sure you get a bottle of ice cold riot beer or cream soda. It hits the spot every time! read more

BIGGER IS NOT BETTER - I grew up in Clay County and have shopped at the Ace Hardware on Blanding for many years. Since the remodel, I have been in 3 times when I could not find anyone to help me, and a fourth visit where there was only 1 cashier and the woman in front of me literally took 5 minutes and while standing there 2 other people came into the line. My office is very close and loved running to Ace on my lunch break but lately going and not getting results has been frustrating. read more

I love the small town feel of the store everyone is willing and able to help you with whatever you may need.They are very knowable on their products they carry with no need to search for another to answer your questions.The products are priced reasonably and they have sales often. When you walk in the staff is So welcoming unlike some stores where everyone scatters like roaches when a customer enters. I love that I can walk in grab what I need and walk out without the hassle of maneuvering through crowds. Oh and lets not forget the FREE popcorn. In the middle of the store is a popcorn machine where customers are allowed to help themselves to fresh popped popcorn! Who doesn't love free food while shopping?!?? from the lack of hands raised I'll take that as none. Lol but seriously if you need paint. Spare keys, plants. I LOVE this store! You hear about the helpful hardware man, and I have to tell you the people here know their stuff! I tend to go to Ace before Home Depot or Lowes for this reason. Also, the store has a surprising variety, and it's fun to shop there (esp. weekends, when they have the free popcorn). The Garden Shop is in particular outstanding, stocking the "usual boring landscape plants" plus wonderful native plants, antique roses, and many herbs that can't be found anywhere else. If they don't have it in stock? They can usually get it for you! So, whether looking for lumber, hardware, lawn and garden, unique items, or hard-to-find plants, forget Lowes or Home Depot make this store your first stop! read more
