Simply the best meal I had in New York. We came in on a whim, as the snack store at the Guggenheim was mobbed. We took a chance, since it was close to 1:30. They had 1 open table, and we were thrilled. Until of course my boys (& hubby) looked at the menu... they were borderline horrified. No burger here boys, and hubby, prepare to spend a bunch of $$$. The bread basket offering was some of the best ever. Hot, crispy assorted & begging for gobs of the salted butter. We obliged. - The poached chicken - my 16 year old & hubby declared this one of the best meals ever eaten. Smooth & velvety with a fresh pea sauce that was fresh as a garden. - The halibut - my other son devoured. It was light as a feather in a delicate citrus. Every bite was scarfed up. - My lobster salad was beautiful and fresh. The lobster was poached, and there were cool little cubes of apple "jello" mixed in with my salad. WOW!! The atmosphere was elegant & a total extension of the museum. If I didn't know better, I'd assume Mr. FLW was the general manager it was that spot-on. It was pricey, and it did take more than an hour - but why rush such a beautiful meal?

Amazing modern restaurant for brunch on the ground floor of the Guggenheim museum. I saw someone next to me enjoying the braised short ribs with poached egg, polenta and Bernaise sauce; they recommended it highly so I ordered that... It was wonderfully presented and delicious. If you're a fan of contemporary, this is definitely a great restaurant to visit with its sleek modern design and impressive contemporary Decor and layout. The latte was also great.

Very disappointed. Arrived for a late lunch, about 3 pm on a Friday. Menu sounded good. Found it Bizarre that you have "fine" dining if you sit in a booth and cafe food served on paper plates if you sit at one of the bars. The design of the restaurant is part of why I wanted to eat there and it was pretty nice. Our waiter was very nice and friendly although never refilled our water or tea. The food... Salmon over kale was excellent. Kale and cauliflower salad was good. The burger on a brioche bun arrived on an English muffin!?!? Completely killed it for me. The salad that came with it was so salty I could not eat it. And by salty I mean it was twice as salty as the potato chips that also came with it. A few peeves that should be addressed. Every time a patron flushes the toilet of dries their hands in the restrooms down the hall , you hear it. The kitchen closed while we were dining and we were offered desert about 3/4 of the way through our meal, which was appreciated. The individual behind the bar counting out the cash drawer, clanking every coin in it was unacceptable. The look is there the menu sounds good. Delivery was just miserable for the money spent.

Pretty good, didn't blow me over. The eggplant, red pepper and goat cheese terrine was pretty, and the chicken schnitzel was tasty, but I'm not sure the prices are justified. I suppose it's what the market will bear - The Wright (or is it "The The Wright"?) is attached to the almighty Guggenheim, the Mecca to hipsters worldwide. That in and of itself lends cachet, I suppose. After all, apparently the reason why dinner service is no more is because of the huge demand for private events at night. Really? People want to buy the space out so often that dinner service is no longer? Well, excuse me. Worth the try, I don't regret it, but I don't think I'll be back.

Just stumbled into this place while visiting the Guggenheim. The restaurant is amazing looking and service is incredible. It is a bit costly, but you have to expect that from the location. We order the beet appetizer and the Wright salad. They put a lot of work into each dish and they were obviously inspired by being part if the museum. Both were excellent and really well prepared. The Wright is a real treat... And I'll be coming back.

Love their brunch menu and cocktail menu! It's located in the ground floor of Guggenheim museum. Nice decoration. Friendly service. We ordered Benedict($22) and hunger steak.($22) Steak comes with eggs and chips. Really delicious. Ham Benedict tastes ok. Desserts are good too. We had mixed berries and gelato($10) My favorite is their wine cocktail-NOW.($12) Really refreshing and sweet.

Expensive but delicious brunch after visiting the Guggenheim. We shared a really lovely autumn salad with slices of kumquat and goat cheese. and a beef/mushroom burger with fingerling potatoes, then shared a very small portion of chocolate cake with chocolate mint gelato. The Wright is a very small restaurant, about 20 tables, with good service. Quiet, located off the Guggenheim's lobby. Food portions were considerably smaller but much tastier than at the Met's Petrie Court Cafe yesterday but the burger was hot while yesterday's food was lukewarm.

Brunch offerings - my wife had a hamburger and I had the salad, sans meat. Both dishes were outstanding. Tasty hot and flavorful for the hamburger . Salad had lots of fresh ingredients and the right amount of goat cheese

The Wright restaurant at the Guggenheim.

Really poor quality - this place needs a new chef. For such a high profile restaurant (in the Guggenheim), we expected more and you pay a princely sum for the prime location. Service was (just) adequate but our chicken for the chopped salad was completely overcooked (Really? For more almost 30?). The saving grace is the design and ambience which strike a stylish modern complement to the museum. If you're visiting the museum, I'd save the money and eat lunch somewhere else in the neighborhood.

NOW Cocktail - Sauvignon Blanc, St. Germain, club soda, fresh berries. Very refreshing!

The crispy shallots added just the right amount of texture against the velvety base, and each spoonful layered flavor in a way that felt both comforting and elevated. For my main, I had the kichuri, and Chef Alex Guzman absolutely shines here. He is a star--full stop. There's a clarity and confidence in his cooking that you can taste. My friend and I were looking for a place for dessert and drinks, so we stumbled into the Cordial. I ordered the prosecco, and we tried the chocolate fondue and a pear dessert. The bartender took our order; he told us that the chocolate fondue came with seasonal fruits, which he told us came with bananas, strawberries, and apples. When he gave us the desserts, the fruits on the plate were nothing, he told us. It had mango, apple, and figs (my friend is allergic to mango), so she was only able to eat only the 5 little apple pieces that were on the plate, and the figs were very mushy. The pear dessert was not so great. So I asked the bartender if he could exchange the pear dessert for more fruits for the chocolate fondue. Again, it was random different fruits; the second round of fruits was figs, oranges, and grapefruit. Cordial is small, so you can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen. With that being said, you can see one of the chefs washing dishes with gloves on and then proceeding to eat a mango with the same glove and then preparing the meals he cleaned dishes and ate with. Read on if you desire genuine knowledge and only dine out with intention. First, and most importantly, shouts to Myles and the team working this day. The salmon in my Jerk Salmon Bowl and my friend's Atlantic Salmon Bowl was flaky, tender, juicy, and perfect. The rices (white with Jerk, black forbidden with Atlantic) confirmed and celebrated what Chef JJ Johnson wrote in his must-have book The History of Rice. This is to say there is no rice like FIELDTRIP rice: soft, sturdy, sweet, savory, herby, attaches to sauce and protein and vegetables when you want it to, remains on its own when you simply want to enjoy it by itself. The plantains and greens that accompany are ridonkulous icing on the salmon sundae. If you aren't a fan of Brussels sprouts, you likely have good reasons. And, you owe it to yourself to order Crispy Brussels. Besides being cooked so they are toothsome, textured, and still sweet, they're quartered or sixthed, which makes them easier to enjoy and perfect carriers for the crispy bits that top them. I love oxtail. To enjoy this rarely served beef element in a perfectly wrapped and fried egg roll added to my adoration. After bite one, I literally unwrapped my half to see how the shredded meat was coexisting. No saucing was necessary, though the Avocado Cilantro and New Jack Sticky BBQ (both of which were enjoyed by me via spoon) would have enhanced the roll most righteously. Lastly, when you dine in or take away from FIELDTRIP, you need Nana's Bread. It is what you might enjoy if a freshly made flour tortilla, naan, pita, and focaccia met, joined, and were put through a presser. I would dip and dredge Nana's Bread in everything.
