Super classic burgers and fries, but without any of the stomach aches from the grease or heaviness. I loooove their shoestring fries, and their lemonade is so yummy and tart. I am not used to very simple smash burgers, but I didn't mind mine at all! I definitely would have wanted double the patty though because a regular burger and fries weren't enough for me lol. But I did pay for what I asked for, and I appreciate that their prices are pretty accessible. This feels more like a lunch than a dinner spot. Especially since this is more of an open air kinda joint. Would still come again!

The Win-Dow Burgers My coworker Kat told me I needed to try Win-Dow because, in her words, they have the best smash burgers. After an appointment a couple miles away, I made the drive over, and I am glad I listened to Kat. First of all, parking gets a star by itself. The lot is not that big, but with the amount of people coming in and out, it worked surprisingly well. I got a spot right away and it seemed like everybody else was able to do the same. No long wait, no circling around, no hassle. Then I got in line to order. The setup is cool. It is like they open up the garage doors and serve you from there, which I guess is why it is called Win-Dow. Whatever the reason, it works. The staff were courteous, efficient, and made the process easy. Now to the food. My burger was smashed the right way but still juicy, which is exactly what you want. The meat tasted high quality, the cheese was good, the bun held everything together, and the whole burger just came together really well. The fries were crispy exactly the way I like them. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and asked for them crisp with the house dressing instead of ranch. That was a great call. They forgot them at first, but when I went back in they apologized and brought them out right away. No attitude, no problem, just fixed it and kept it moving. For dessert, I was originally going to get the dipped mint ice cream, but the guy in front of me ordered the salted caramel and said it was really good, so I followed his lead. Great decision. That salted caramel was top tier. From parking to burger to dessert, Win-Dow delivered across the board. One thing to know is that there is no indoor seating, so you will be sitting outside. But there are restrooms in the back, and it seemed very family friendly. I saw a lot of people there with kids and families, and everybody looked like they were having a good time. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Even while I was there, I was already looking at the menu thinking about what I want to order next time later in the week. Kat was right. Win-Dow is an easy 5 stars all day.

A five year-old decided this is where he wanted to go for his birthday dinner, so here we are. I had not been to one of these locations, but I do appreciate the reasonably priced burgers! This is a simple window order and pick up place with limited seating. Kind of a throwback to a burger spot of yesterday year... I got the chicken sandwich which was very tasty and everybody else said their burgers were wonderful. Great place to come for a quick burger if you're in the area. Also, quite a few other locations, I'll have to try the one right next to me in Hollywood!

The smells lead you here! Solid burgers that rival in-n-out. The quality is noticeably. We tried the crispy Brussel sprouts and they were delicious. I still need to try the soft serve. Service is always great. It's a great addition to 2nd street

Another review from now several months ago that I wrote a draft for last fall, then never finished it... it's like in-an-out, but craftier. On one hand, $8 sounds like a good amount of money for a fast food (double) cheeseburger - on the other hand, Sideburns makes my favorite smash burger in the city, but their basic smashburger is $11, and that's not even a double burger. Anyway, one double cheese burger was quite satisfying, it was more filling than it looked at first. It's exactly what was advertised - In-N-Out, but craftier. Great buns, great meat, a classic cheeseburger... a bit salty though (it really needed ketchup to offset the saltiness... so I asked for ketchup and got some and added it, which improves it greatly :p. As with In-N-Out, I didn't buy the fries and thus couldn't comment on them. Mostly because the burger was quite enough food, though, in this case.) Being more of a quick stop place, obviously there isn't any alcohol, but in addition to $6 shakes (assuming they haven't gone up since a few months ago - I didn't get one, but assume they're also great), they had lemonade/arnold palmers for $2.50 - actual lemonade, not from a mix. I did get an arnold palmer, and it was, expectedly, great. A lot of the seating is outside around the side of the building on a bar-top-type setup - I though that was pretty neat, though, it's a nice area, as long as it's a reasonable temperature, which it is more often than not. That's why we all like living in California. Was especially nice right around sunset. p.s. Unlike In-N-Out as far as I know - you can order ahead if you know when you're going to get there, right from them, and then only have a small wait to pick it up, which is pretty nice too.

Such a vibey spot! Highly recommend coming here on a nice day! We chose a perfect day to come. Everything is open and bright, it's quite relaxing. We of course ordered their burgers and let me tell ya, we devoured them! I had a single and my friends both got doubles. They're decently sized and bursting with flavors. They do have seating but, it fills up quick! I enjoyed people watching whilst eating my burger. A friend of mine highly recommended their kale salad, but I don't see the hype. Overall, a good salad but I'm not going there for that.

There are tons smash burger spots in Long Beach but this one really nails it! The burger is perfectly cooked with nice charring throughout and balanced perfectly with sweet/crunchy pickles layered underneath their special sauce. The fries have a nice crisp as well and are lightly tossed in salt. Super friendly staff and rather quick service! They have a ton of seating under their covered patio as well. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area or passing through 2nd Street.

This is now my second review I LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!! A double cheese burger for 7.50 like come on can't beat that and it's so fresh and flavorful I mean seriously on top of that! We try the chicken sandwich and holy shit. It was so good. It was honestly refreshing even though it was fried and it had like a vinegar flavor to it just really was a nice touch paired with the burger.

Since my initial visit a couple years ago, prices have increased slightly and they've added more seating along the side of the building. A small parking lot is available next to it but I usually find street parking. There's a window to order and another window to pick up your food. The cheeseburger was salty the first time I had it but less salty now in my opinion. The French fries are crispy and good. The Brussels sprouts with a side of their house sauce was decent. I've tried their strawberry shake and it was the perfect cold treat.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Love a good smash burger and this place does it right. Pretty simple menu with a few additions like chicken sandwiches and salads. We got 2 double cheeseburgers and two beauty (aka impossible) burgers, the kale salad, and fries. The smash burgers were delicious. The bun is soft but has enough support not to fall apart while eating it. The patties are smashed to perfection. Maintining juiciness while providing textural contrast with the crispy edges. The sauce is similar to a thousand island dressing and the pickles and onions also add a nice crunch. The fries are pretty ordinary which makes this not the best I've had. The kale salad is really good but if you don't like raisins then you won't like it. But the tanginess of the dressing along with the nuts and cheese is really a nice bright contrast to the heavier flavors of the burger. The location isn't too busy because it's at the end of second street which was nice because usually it's impossible to find parking. Service is okay, the vibe is cute. Worth going if you like smash burgers.

Cute Burger stand in Long Beach. This isn't a indoor sit down stand. You order and pick up order from a window. There's a few seats available outside of the stand. Restroom located in the back of resturant, expect a line cause it only one restroom. The service was good. The menu is basic with a few items, there are a few healthy options. The food was good however I wish they seasoned the burgers more, they were kind of bland for my taste, you will need ketchup and other condiments for flavor. The bread they use is bomb.

Double Cheeseburger and fries.

First time trying this place out, have been on search for a decent burger and I heard about how good the burgers were from here, so naturally I was curious. Was actually quite surprised at how condensed the menu was as well as the great prices. Order a double cheeseburger and fries to take home, service was friendly/fast, place was clean and may I say the rumors were true, flavorful, delicious, cheesy, perfectly cooked, tasty coating on the fries and a secret sauce to boot. Best burger I've had in a long time and a great value on top of that. I'll be ordering from here again very soon. 5/5.

Breakfast Steak Burrito
Cindy O.

First time enjoying their breakfast service! On the weekends, Win-Dow opens at 9am an serves a Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Burrito, and a Cheeseburger with an Egg on Top. We both ordered Breakfast Burritos. They are made with steak and home fries. We loved that it the whole burrito was grilled on the outside! At first we were disappointed there was no salsa but there was plenty of heat inside, no need for salsa. Definitely one of the best around! Service as always was friendly. Food is made fresh and worth the short wait.

Hi do you guys have grass fed beef?

Hi Cherida, The beef used in our patties does not come from grass-fed cows, but we do use a high-quality proprietary blend created specifically for our burgers. Hope that helps!

Anyone know what oil they use for cooking meat and the fries?

Hi Ali, we use canola oil. Hope that helps! :)

Can you order ahead of time for pickup?

Hi Gwen, Yes you can place an order through our website for pick up.

I love Portabello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and Persian cucumbers, so when I read that on the menu, I knew I had to order this, and I am not disappointed! This hit the spot. The smash patty topped with my favorites made for a perfect burger filling party. -the Don Chendo burger- the salsa Don Chendo on a jalapeño-Cheddar bun - culinary innovation at its finest! For non-spicy eaters like myself, you can eat this. This is definitely tolerable spice with a delicious flavor that overrules any "heat". The buttery, softness of the bun with the cheddar and jalapenos melted into it compliment the flavors of the patty, red onions and Chendo sauce. Having a burger is a rare craving for us, and thankfully our taste buds led us here this time that we did, because we were left, not only satisfied, but can safely say that this is one of the fewest Exceptional burgers we have tried thus far. Burgers are huge too! You def get more bang for your buck here. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive toward us. We truly appreciated the warm greeting and them making sure we felt comfortable with their product deliveries coming in/out of the restaurant while we ate. Not too big & not too small of a place. Ample seating booths make for a comfy social occasion. We highly recommend to All! & will return again!

Occasionally I would crave the fast food route and just go with something fast and easy. Well, it was wishful thinking. Right from the start with pulling into the driveway, the place was packed. There was 2 spots available for parking as we wanted to walk in and order but that didn't happened. The line to drive through wasn't moving so there was no way to park. Ended up just walking out while someone was waiting to park. Even when you walk in, the place was a little dysfunctional. People were just standing around so you didn't know who needed to order or who was waiting. There were 6 people infront of me waiting to order. The whole restaurant was packed so it must be good. Plus it could also be spring break and one of the places that was still open. Who knows.. The menu was a mixture of everything. You have breakfast dishes, sandwiches, burgers, salads, Mexican dishes and main entrees. A pleather of everything and the prices was very reasonable. I went with an order of the chicken quesadilla which was served with a heap of guacamole and shredded lettuce on the side. Portion was pretty massive for what it was. And an order of the chicken club sandwich which came with fries. Another item that was pretty massive. Plus a medium order of onion rings. If that order was medium, I wonder what the large would be as it was pretty big already. Plus they were ok, not major. They asked if you wanted chili peppers and ketchup upon pickup but ranch was an additional 1.05 if needed. With all that waiting and leaving, we noticed that the car infront of us when we drove in also left around the same time when they did drive through. I don't know what was going on last night but it sure brought out everyone. I guess it's a happening place. For the price, the food was quite nice and decent. It was pretty big for the order and very well priced.
