Excellent food and amazing service. My husband took me there for a surprise birthday dinner and they went above and beyond to make it special for me. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which rivaled the best we've ever had, the bone marrow was also charred perfectly, lamb cooked perfectly and the curry was very flavorful. A little disappointed in the duck but everything else was delicious. read more

Food is fresh and service is amazing! Great place to meet for date night with another couple!

West Table is easily my favorite place in Lubbock. The food is consistently fantastic, and the staff are so nice.

We've been coming for years now and love it. This is by far some of the best Lubbock has to offer with higher end dining.

Love it! The atmosphere- spectacular!! I've been there three times with friends and family and tasted a little bit from everyone's plate! Delicious food no matter what you order. Fantastic servers. I'm a big fan of Dirk West and love that his family opened up this classy restaurant. read more

Good food , great Service !! Great ambience ! We Will Go back Jonathan , our server Is very pleasant , helpful and always have a smile .

I am updating with much angst in my heart... Aside from the pristine environment & good service the food was well under par & obscenely priced considering the outcome... Compliments to the decor, the ambience & on point, attentive staff. My daughter & I made a reservation hoping to relish & revel in a delectable meal as per usual. We ordered the pan seared chicken with the root vegetables & split. Her chicken was pink in the inside & the root vegetables were charred bits of a montage of unrecognizable food. My rotisserie chicken from market street last week upstaged this undercooked poultry & burned veggies as an accompaniment is a straight disaster. Sopapillas were less than expected, flat not fluffy & filling was minimal. Whipped cream quite good which did not compensate for the rest. Meal was exorbitant & broke my heart as I felt unworthy of my hard earned spend. In summation, the food was in serious deficit on this occasion & should be revisited as well as follow up from management to tweak a beautiful faculty with incredible staff & lacking cuisine! read more

Heard great things about this place so my husband and I decided to check it out! We went for brunch on a Sunday. We are huge brunch fans and had pretty high expectations! I had a waffle, which was actually surprisingly good! Light, airy, and decently priced at only $5. My husband had crab cakes that were not great, I tried a bite and agreed with him that they were too watery - they didn't even hold together. And the egg served over them was overcooked; it didn't come apart at all over the cakes, and that was what he was looking forward to the most! There was also hardly any hollandaise sauce to be found. He was disappointed, and I was glad I didn't order it. We also each had a mimosa as part of our brunch tradition. Then we got the bill. $45 including tip! Holy wow. The mimosas were $8 a pop, and we aren't talking fresh-squeezed orange juice or anything special. It is the EXACT same mimosa I get for $1-2 at brunch buffets all the time in Austin. The service was good, but $45 for brunch for 2 people with mediocre food and one mimosa each? As highly as this place is rated, let's just say I hope their dinner is a lot better! read more

I finally got to try the very talked about West Table. We made reservations. We walked in and the immediately sat us at our reservation table. We sat at a table against the back wall. The tables have a booth on one side and chairs on the other. I really like the feel of the interior. It is very modern and clean. The bar is it's own separate nook of an area. It was very hip and fancy, exposed bricks included. We ordered the spiced Tom Collins and a Moscow mile. They were perfect and came out fast even though they were noticeably hand crafted. Our appetizer of choice were oysters. Half of them raw, half of them with the champagne vinaigrette. They were fresh and great. I would get all champagne next time. The sauce was a perfect kind of tangy and paired well with the oysters. My husband got the chicken fried elk. It was very unique and came with your choice of two sides and a homemade jalapeño gravy. He really loved it. It was a smaller portion than your typical restaurant. I got the New York strip with asparagus. It was done perfectly medium rare as I had requested. All the food was quality and the experience was very lovely. If I had millions of dollars and no budget I would come here often. read more

The first time I came here was on my wedding anniversary, and although the atmosphere was amazing the food I ordered was a bit disappointing. I had chicken with a sweet potato mash and some sort of cooked greens. It just wasn't my favorite. However, since we've discover West Table on Sundays, I just can't get enough!! Their 4 course meal is never a disappointment! I absolutely can't wait to try their Sunday brunch either! read more

They serenaded us with sweet and spicy wings placed upon a Bold Asian slaw  as well as a perfect and fresh crab Rangoon in chili sauce. A powerful combinations of flavors, but unafraid to let the food speak for itself.  Next they teased us further with a mixed green Salad. It was like a flawlessly conducted symphony in which you could hear every instrument but together it culminated to greatness. Tossed with blue cheese and candied pecans, drizzled only with olive oil and pepper. The main course? It's the only course I ever want to eat again. Perry perry Chicken atop a bed of Jasmine rice and squash with hint of mint, and a short rib capelini pasta sprinkled in a ideally aged parmesan. The braised short rib  is everything I knew beef could be fatty and lean juicy and flavorful. The chef is careful to use only minimal seasoning to draw out the flavors of the food. It's fully cooked yet a more robust beef flavor than the most exquisitely cooked medium rare ribeye. With each sequential bite I lay in dread knowing soon my food would be gone. The desert is unreasonable. Reminiscent of a little Debbie in looks and looks alone. Essentially it's a masterful take, by this genius of a chef on a chocolate covered strawberry. I walked out of the building a new man, able to conquer any tasks, inspired to do great things, because this food told me it was possible. I love you chef. read more

Always great atmosphere, service, and food. You can't go wrong here for a date night.

Always great food and service. Makes for a great spot for anniversaries or dates, the price is also good.

I had no expectations of this place. Was in town for work, and the restaurant was suggested to me by some locals. The ambiance -- the building itself, the restaurant decor -- is lovely, if loud. The wine menu is a respectable balance between local winners, and international options. The menu itself had several diverse and interesting options, allowing everyone at my table to get something different. That said, it's not the best restaurant I've been to. Though it is the best restaurant I've been to in Lubbock. Super friendly service. The only comment on service was that our wine was very slow to arrive, and in fact, appeared probably 10 minutes after apps were brought. We never did get an explanation on that (and, in fact, joked that they were running to the winery to pick up a bottle). My only criticism -- and it isn't the fault of the restaurant -- but there aren't any substantive vegetarian options on the menu. Again, not the restaurant's fault, given that it is pretty clear that this is a gamey menu. But, I am putting it out there, in case the restaurant reads. read more

Everything - Food, Service , Decor, waitstaff, Cocktails. A must when in Lubbock !!

Amazing gem in the heart of downtown Lubbock! The whole experience is beyond what you expect to find in the Hub City! Top notch chefs, management, and service allows this establishment to soar! Not to mention the fact that Brewery LBK is located in the same building (Pioneer Hotel and Condos) with beautifully brewed beer and creative cocktails. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't visit this local 5 star diamond in the rough while visiting Lubbock. read more

My friend Atlas recently moved into a condominium right above The West Table, so after we moved him in, we went down for a bite at what we assume will become his new hang-out. What a great experience. The West Table is beautifully decorated and is definitely (from what I've seen) the hippest place in Lubbock. We started with a pair of delicious Austin Mules and calamari duo. The drinks were strong and tasty and the calamari duo was a lot of fun. I ordered the Estancia New York Strip and Atlas ordered the Char-Broiled Beef Fillet. Both were great, but the Beef Fillet was particularly fantastic. We finished with dessert drinks to toast Atlas' recent move to Lubbock, but also for having the good fortune to live above such a great establishment. Our server, Suzie, was also really fantastic and attentive. A great place and a great vibe. Next time I'm in town visiting Atlas, I'll definitely be reserving a table. read more

I went to West Table with work colleagues. All three of us had great meals. The duck breast was cooked perfectly and the right amount spice to it. They have a solid cocktail list that would make an mixologist happy. The service was very efficient. We are looking forward to our next visit to Lubbock in order to enjoy West Table again. read more

Great food! Eclectic menu items not available any where else in Lubbock like bone marrow

The Duck is awesome! Service is great. Ambiance is nice a little loud. Can't go wrong with anything here.

This place was not that great. We went for date night and my boyfriend and I were sitting at waiting for service for at least 30 minutes if not more. There's no dress code at all we were both dressed nice but they're were people wearing jeans and brought their kids who were wearing athletic wear. Which is fine but don't advertise as a nice restaurant imo. The food was alright. I got some whole chicken on potatoes and it was eh. My boyfriend got the duck and he liked it, I tried it and was not a fan. We also got some appetizers before our meal and they weren't very memorable. It also took like an hour+ to get our food which they say it was because everything is scratch made but everyone else was getting their food before us so I don't know if I believe it. The bill ended up being $100+ and for the service and quality of food I wouldn't say it was worth it. It wasn't bad per se it just was not worth the hours we were waiting and the expensive bill. read more

I came in for lunch with a friend a few days ago and had a great meal. We had the bone marrow appetizer, which was simply incredible. It was rich and well balanced, and the bread was perfectly charred. For an entree, I had the lomo saltado. It was good, but just a little heavy on the salt. My friend had the shrimp and grits and absolutely loved it. The restaurant has a good atmosphere -- an urban chic place. I'll have to come back soon for dinner. read more

They always have a Sunday special for a 4 course meal for just $25/person. Each Sunday, they change their menu a little bit so they don't become boring or so says our waitress. Well today for my entree i had the Grilled Pork Tenderloins and my bf the Grilled Chicken .... something. FOOD: Well my pork tenderloins tasted absolutely delicious and soft. It was also really tender that I almost swallowed the whole 5 juicy slices. The sweet potato mashed potato and the green beans that came with the dish complimented the succulent pork tenderloins well that I cleared the plate clean (literally!) Although my bf Grilled Chicken .... something tasted good, it was sorta too salty for me and my boyfriend's taste that I was pretty underwhelmed by this dish coming from West Table. SERVICE: The waitress at our table was really nice and attended to every one of our questions (since we were new to this place) and did things like check with the chef about the menu that she didn't know and I liked that. I hope to be coming here again in the near future. read more

Hugely disappointing. I've been going to West Table since it opened and have usually been impressed. Tonight was a huge disappointment. The beef tenderloin was $48 and about 3 oz and so overly salted, it burned my taste buds. Served with 3/4 a plate of fries. TGIF offers better value and quality of meat. Sweet potatoes in another dish were served cold. It took 45 min to re-fire the tenderloin after I sent it back. The rest of my party was done eating before I received any food. Our bottle of wine was finished. I had to order another glass to have something to drink with dinner. No discount offered. Nothing comped. read more

Porterhouse lamb with chimichurri. Delicious. Bone-in pork chop was also the best we've ever had. And do yourself a favor and ask for a few dipping options if your meal comes with fries, including their homemade ketchup . The West Table - Old fashioned - New American Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

Modern, urban flare on the West Texas Plains. Decor is modern with tall, exposed ceilings and concrete columns softened by warm soft tones for flooring and tables. Exposed kitchen to a version of a chef's table. The lunch menu is brief but bountiful with modern takes on classical dishes and new creations. Started with Bone Marrow in a chimichurri sauce. Impressive presentation with split bone based with the smooth chimichurri sauce and dollops of meat served with crostini. The waiter-suggested "goto" was a Peruvian stir-fry. Not what I intended to order but it was "goto." Tasty but visually confusing. The rice, small nuggets of beef, onions, and tomatoes were expected in a version of dry stir fry. But French fries? The added starch was not unwelcome but my eyes disapproved. Perhaps if the potatoes were cubed.... Excellent lunch with reasonable prices. I will be back. read more
