Quick, professional, friendly notary available. A boon when you've waited until the eleventh hour to update your advanced directive before surgery (who, me? surely not...). Right in the same parking lot as Lucky and Rite Aid, and not typically difficult to find a parking spot. Be prepared to wait a few minutes, depending on demand for notary services or how busy the store is - I don't personally think this is a big deal, but set your expectations, if it is for you. I have never written a bad review in my life and if I could give 0 stars I would. NEVER NOTARIZE DOCUMENTS HERE. Sam made a HUGE mistake on a notary and they will not give me a refund. They blamed me for their mistake. They said they told me they offered to re-notarize it for me but that is a lie. I have never been treated so unprofessionally by Susie the owner. I made a notary appt at store 1743 for 12pm. When I arrived, I was told the notary only works Mon through Thu. She asked when I made my appt and I told her this morning. She said "well, we haven't even checked our email". I recommended they update their website with the correct hours and shut off the ability to make appointments when the notary is not there. I don't understand the negative reviews dated recently except to say maybe some of the complaints have nothing to do with the staff at this store? I'm thinking of damaged and/or stolen items. My first and last time to this business was just now. I raced to get there to scan 2 pages and had 6 minutes to spare only to find them vacuuming and putting the cage around the desk area as if they were already closed. They said they put the computer away. I expressed that it was bad customer service to stop serving customers before they were actually closed. I was met with 3 blank stares. They really did not care at all. They said they couldn't work overtime but clearly they were not going to be able to lock up and walk out by 5:30pm closing so not sure why they shut down the computer and had cashed out of the register while they were still open. I asked whose policy this was, theirs or the manager? Again 3 blank stares "I don't know". "We always put the computer away if it's slow". So basically their store hours mean nothing. read more

This is a go-to place for shipping. I had a gift to send out to the East Coast and I got quick, friendly help. It was very busy- and sufficiently staffed. One employee was helping a customer with a computer, another was helping with a wine shipment. I was able to ship my gift at a reasonable price- it was under $20. What a relief! The only drawback is the terrible parking lot. Maxwell Village is a busy place- they have a Starbucks, a swimming pool(?), a Lucky supermarket, a fancy modern Japanese restaurant with mini-golf(??),and a gourmet taco place(???) I brought it untaped and the girl at the front desk said she would tape it up for me...arrived and 75% of items inside WERE STOLEN. ALL OF THE BOWLS I HAD NICELY WRAPPED BROKEN. Several items STOLEN!!!!!! Do NOT go to this location. Now have to file claims for the multiple items I lost. Not to mention dropped the box off on Friday and box didn't ship till Monday---SOMETHING IS OFF HERE. read more

I usually have good experiences at the UPS stores. I have used many of them in several different states. Today I needed help sending some toys to my grandson who lives in Texas. They were toys that would not fit in a packed moving van. I was helped by Hannah. From the moment she walked up to help me she seemed angry and unfriendly. The screen popped up on the register saying I'm HANNH your friendly assistant! I though bologna. She was very unhelpful with suggestions on how to best send the packages. No option, just put your things here. I asked for options again. She said there were none. She missed one of the bags I had and when she put it on the scale it went from $30 to $60. I added a nerf gun and a game of battle ship. I had said okay then thought about it and said wait. I asked how could it go up that much. She said it's more weight and a larger box. One of the toys was a fluffy stuffed buffalo that would have squished down. She said "do you want to send it?" I said I guess no. She abruptly and rudely walked away seeming angry with me. To the owner: hope she is not family because as a customer servant she is awful. You've lost my business. read more

I use this store for both business & personal services - shipping, notarizing & copying. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Even when it's crowded, the service is exceptional. When one of my business packages was delayed beyond the promised delivery date, Michelle offered to submit a request for reimbursement from UPS and we received a full refund. I'm impressed with the can-do attitude. Plus they have amusing greeting cards and play super music. read more

Maria is so nice and helpful. She's helped me out with the copy machine, shipping, faxing and an easier way to print out a label when I'm doing an amazon return. So, I give Maria five stars but the other girl with the braids has an attitude. Also, wondering if the manager or owner know that she does most of the time easy work while I see Maria doing all the cleaning all the the time I go in. I go in when they are about to close or just passing by when they are already closed and that's when I see maria cleaning all the time and helping customers while the other girl is counting registers. I came into here not too long ago to ship a package that I sold online. Now seeing that it was Sonoma I expected all smiles and great customer service. I was wrong. I walked in, and said politely, "I'd like to ship something." The customer service rep eyed me up and down suspiciously, walked away and handed me a slip without even one word. After I finished filling it out I called him over and he asked accusingly "what's in the box?!" This guy was rude, so I told him to look at the slip he had me fill out and he'll find out. i paid and went on my merry way. I wont be doing business here ever. THIS UPS STORE IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT! The employees are upbeat, articulate, informed, and efficient. I had a complicated three-item shipment and they gave me all the options voluntarily--I didn't have to ask. Everyone was cheerful, even though the store was full of customers with a variety of different needs. If you were here "before," you won't believe the difference in atmosphere and service. The women staffing the store today went beyond good customer service: they were genuine, LISTENED CAREFULLY, and openly helpful. Give it another chance; you'll be glad (and relieved) that you did.
