Just came back from the store, got charged $5.50 for 1 scan! They have a minimum fee of $5 but they didn't tell me anything about that before the transaction. The sign is next to the cashier but they attended me in the back room so i didnt see the sign. I asked the lady to give me a refund of $4 because i was not aware of it and she declined, saying that those are the prices. I understand the concept of the minimum fee but the store was empty at the time so they didn't have to drop anything to attend me. I guess if you are not willing to understand or listen to your customers, you don't deserve them, my last time there. read more

I am all for supporting local business so I went here with a friend to make some namecards and tabletents for a wedding that we were attending/participating in. The one word that describes my experience best was: frustrating. Our order was not done on time (any of the three visits that I went) - so I had to continually go back at a different time to check my order. I went to send something Fed Ex. I stood at the counter along with two other customers, and the lady was just shooting the breeze to another lady, waiting on no one. I was waving my arms ,calling her name, nothing. Finally she got up and told me that you can no longer send anything Fed ex unless you have an account. She told me to try the UPS store. I did and it was quite busy, and at least they wait on you. read more

Finished color laser pieces are so sharp, they easily pass for 4-color printing press items at first glance. Signage; large format copies with different paper weights. Details they've dialed in on include appropriate paper stock for personality of project and usage, trimming, folding, scoring, perforation, unusual sizes. If there is a smarter way of tackling a project, staff will make appropriate recommendations. For projects that require digital output, files can be emailed, proofs will be provided, and job will be finalized upon approval. Double-sided projects are always checked for alignment and customers will be alerted of any output concerns. Patt's keeps a wide variety of specialty paper stock. There are also different office supplies on hand for convenience. PCW also utilizes other 3rd party services as needed and handles the project through the process. Just stoped by Patt's to pick up some scans and I was asking the young gentleman in front for help, the rude woman sitting at her desk yells from across the room that he could not help me. Once we figured out the situation I told her she should be a little politer to her customers and she immediately got defensive telling me "I should no what I need before I enter her store" and "she's not there to help me". I informed her that she should brush up on her customer service skills and after reading the other yelp reviews it's very obvious I'm not the only one who has experienced this. I feel bad for her employees she is disrespectful and acts like they can't do there job. I will never come here again!!! read more

Pat's Copy World shows once again, that being a local owned, community oriented store, is a real benefit to those of us who live in the Valley!!! Both the other 2 chain store "FedEx/UPS drop-off" locations in Sonoma are now telling people they can't drop packages off there, (unless its an envelope type,) ... blaming the drivers, saying the "drivers won't pick it up" ..and that people in Sonoma NOW have to drive to Napa or Petaluma for a Fedx/UPS pick-up!!! So appearently, ...Patt's CW is now the only Sonoma store that still allows pre-paid boxed packages to be dropped off for pickup by Fedx/UPS! (Yes, I was able to drop my FedX box off at Patt's for pick-up, just like Fedx said too, Thank you Patt's CW!) It just shows that the old time, faithful, long time Sonoma business's,... owned and operated by real Sonoma residents, (who devote many hours of their free time to the local community!) ... Really is a blessing to our wonderful Valley!!! read more

Wow! I am really trying to support local businesses as I always have in Sonoma. Every time I try to do business with Pat I feel like she wants to sweep me out of her front door with a dust pan before I ask for assistance. If she doesn't like customers then why is she in the customer service business? I relayed a couple of experiences to coworkers and they said "oh my god I know" I give this business 2 stars because her staff always tries to help under extraordinary circumstances. I have been in Sonoma for 20 years and have (sadly) decided to work with a corporate business rather than walk in the front door of Pat's place of business. read more

I have known and done business with Pat and her dear husband Charlie and the apple of their eye Bam Bam (not real name but if you ever saw him play ball.......) for over 20 years. In the mid 90's as a wine broker based in Sonoma,They earned my business by paying close attention to detail, but more by being people that conveyed trust just by being themselves. Now, although I have moved to Folsom to open a wine retail store, I still take my business to them some 75 miles away. Some would question the decision to do said, for me it was a no brainer. This seems to be the main copy shop / printer in Sonoma, and it's everything you might expect - self service, full service, and supplies. Don't be afraid that it's not Kinko's, it's better - more professional and personal. It's in a quiet strip mall a few blocks from the Sonoma square, fairly cavernous inside. It's all clean, orderly, and well organized. Best of all, there's Patt. She seems like quite the dynamo, building a team of clerks, marketing, tending to customers. When I called at 5:30 to ask about their hours, Patt said they were closed for the day, and without my even asking she said I could come in to make copies anyway. So now you know. If you have any printing to do up in wine country - cards, invitations, menus, business presentations - I'd recommend coming here instead of one of the chains. read more

Truly love the store, and the quality is usually good, but the service is very uneven unless Patt herself is on top of the staff. Many missed deadlines or lack of communication have resulted in some serious situations for me. I want to 'buy local' so don't make it hard for me. read more

I am really sorry to have to write this review. Patt, the owner, may be a great woman, but she really has a problem taking responsibility for her own mistakes. I ordered a rubber stamp on a Tuesday from someone named Shamin in her Sonoma store, who promised me I would receive it the next day, Weds. It was supposed to be made by the store's vendor in Santa Rosa, some 35 miles away. The stamp didn't arrive at Patt's Copy Shop from the vendor on Weds. Nothing on Thurs., and nothing on Friday. I called Shamin to find out what the heck was going on. He called the vendor, who said the stamp had been created and mailed to Patt's Copy, but it must have gotten lost in the mail. Saturday morning it still hadn't arrived. I called Shamin and he promised to call the vendor that same morning to make a NEW stamp that I could pick up from the vendor in Santa Rosa directly, about a 1.5-hr round trip drive from my house in regular workday traffic. Monday morning, I called the copy shop to confirm this was done, and Patt herself answered the phone. She knew NOTHING about any rubber stamp, and went on to say the vendor wasn't even open on Saturdays for Shamin to call. Huh? With Patt on the phone, I again placed an order for a new stamp (this being the THIRD TIME), and on Tuesday early afternoon I drove the 1.5-hr round trip from my house and picked it up from the vendor. I then rushed over to FedEx to mail some important documents to South America that required that stamp. After all this, I drove over to Patt's Copy Store in Sonoma to pay the bill. Shamin was there, and he took my credit card and charged the entire amount due, $52, minus $4 "for all the trouble." I was thinking to myself, "This place must be kidding me." When I later wrote Patt, the owner, an email to discuss what happened, she refused to accept any responsibility whatsoever, completely ignored the problem with Shamin, and blamed everything on the Post Office, saying, and I quote, "I cannot be responsible for the United States Postal system." End of email. I think this is a pretty rotten way to treat a customer, and it says a lot about this business. It says, "If you do business with us, you are doing so at your own risk." Based on my experience, anyone going into that store for anything more than to make a few copies is asking for trouble. read more

Jordan provided creative solutions to solve some unforeseen assembling issues and completed the large order on time and with a calm maturity. Like others, I want to like this business, support a variety of local "mom & pop" Sonoma businesses, but my experiences on almost every occasion here have been aggravating and left me feeling like I was resented. I have had need of color copy posters over the years and until more recent times my options in town were limited. Staples wasn't even an option back when I first had need (and I have not had great results there although the staff was always fine). At Patt's I found almost every time I went I had to wait and wait, and felt as welcome as a smelly homeless person, despite the fact my projects were worth far more than the 3 10¢ copies of someone's photo compilation that took a half hour of store time. When I wanted proofs of my poster art, it was as if I had asked for an umbrella cocktail with magic sprinkles, as if it was a huge ask. Often it would take 3-5 to get it right and I dreaded each one because it felt like going to the principle's office each time. Considering the prices and that the job was usually potentially in the range of $60-$100 it seemed reasonable to expect courteous service and a few proofs. Very frustratingly, there was always confusion on the prices. I could never get a consistent quote, and more often then not the prices ranged from higher than the norm to outrageous for what I wanted, with no consideration of quantity in the price. It was like reinventing the wheel each time. It seemed that they had no expectation nor made allowances for the customer like me who wanted a quantity of color posters on heavy stock, and the price quotes I got would range from $2.50 to as much as $4 with no break for quantities. I only went there when it was the last option and eventually even wrote it off as a last option. The coup de gras though was always the treatment. The younger staff were fine, trying hard and friendly; but the owners were almost always sour to the point of rudeness, aloof and brusque. Rarely did I get a smile or a sincere thank you. Maybe things have improved since I last ventured in but I won't be subjecting myself to that potential kind of experience again. read more

HORRIBLE Customer service!! I would give 0 stars if I could!! I work in Sonoma, the business I have worked for over a decade for uses this service for copies occasionally because they will bill us. Nice for me as an employee because I dont have to worry about paying and getting reimbursed.. about the only good thing about this place! STRIKE ONE! I took a copy project in (days in advance) and told Pat I needed it by Friday at 3pm. Show up & its not complete.. Irritated.. the least she could have done is call our business and tell me so I would have not wasted my time & energy traveling accross town in Friday afternoon traffic! Everyone knows how going through town can be late in the afternoon. STRIKE 2- I had her put two large PDF files on a disk. ordered 6 disks. Get them to my office.. the 2nd of the PDF files doesnt open on all 6 copies. Shouldn't someone have double checked to make sure that it worked before giving it to the customer (ME) Guess not, I went back this morning to tell her that the files wont open. A gentleman tried to help but once I explained my problem, he said Pat would be the person I need to talk to .. so I wait.. while she is helping another customer. Their conversation turns into Sonoma gossip.. kids being baptised, some other gal in Sonoma who took a horrible picture at a local event. A lady with a French boyfriend, Gallstones and hairdressers.. REALLY?! I am standing at the counter over hearing all this and I am thinking the POLITE and PROFESSIONAL thing to do is say "Excuse me Mary, for just a moment." Ask Me.. "How can I assist you?" and then get back to your gab fest.. but no didn't happen! After 10 solid minutes of me waiting and not being helped. I walked out! I am inclined to pay have the bill since only half files worked and NEVER use them again. Only reason she must be in business still is people here support local business lucky for her because her professionalism is lacking! read more

I've lived in Sonoma Valley for 14 years and over that time, visited all the copy/stationary & specialty stores in town. The only consistency I have found at Kinko's is the rapid turnover of employees. Patt's store does high quality work at very competitive prices. (Compares to any big city shop) My last project was a very large photo-copy 4 ft. by 6ft. I brought it in the night before my event; on there off chance they could do something. Not only was the final product better then what I had envisioned, but the staff stayed 30minutes after closing to get the project done.
