This is the worst store I have been to and the worst customer service. This UPS store did not have UPS legal envelopes to ship my legal documents in that I already pre-paid for a UPS next Day. Great I understand maybe that they don't have any. but he offered for me to purchase a legal envelope to ship my documents. why would I purchase one when UPS is supposed to provide one for free? I would've left a great review had they offered me customer service and provided me an envelope for free being that they ran out of their free ones to put my documents in with my prepaid label but no they wanted to charge me!! I let the employee know that I was going to give a bad review. And he just gave me a thumbs up. Wow!! terrible great customer service I will never be returning to this UPS store ever! read more

I loved that the staff explained every step! I sent out a big fax (I know, who uses a facsimile anymore ;-P ), and the lady told me to wait on the side and she'll call me once it goes through (honestly, I forgot how long faxes take sometimes). Once we get the confirmation it went through, then we'll charge you. I was impressed when another man came in and slapped an account number down, and the lady said "we can't take just the account number anymore." Other places just say it's store policy. This employee explained, "while it may be a valid account number, some business have come back and said it wasn't approved. Then UPS gets stuck eating the cost." This store by Vons is really handy for me and I have used it for a long time. On Saturday I visited to post a return. There was only one staff member in the store, a young Black girl and she was with another female customer. While I was waiting the two were chatting about kids and shooting the breeze, while the process was dragging on. Then there was an issue about card payments, but instead of serving me, all needed was a 5 second scan and receipt. She proceeded to have me wait while she sorted out the issue. By this time I had been standing there waiting for over 10 minutes. The transaction was moved to the second register and still the card did not go through, no money I guess! By this time I had had enough and told her to scan my item, which she did. I am over 70 years old and this treatment was wrong. read more

The crew at this store are awesome. I'm just not liking the new system for customers who pay a service to have their packages delivered to this store. I use to be able to check my mailbox and if I have a package, I just have to bring it to their attention and in between customers one would get the package from the bin. I didn't have to stand in line and wait to check on packages for them to retrieve for me. Currently I have to wait in line to be served and lately the line has been very long. I realize it may due to COVID and more people ordering online and returning but even after this is over, I should be able to easily have access to my box or bin and get out. I am not having to pay for anything. I am not having to need a receipt. The service of the workers is not the problem. They are great and are doing their best. Suggestion: Please look for another way for customers picking up their package to be able to get in and get it (sign) and get out. read more

I moved to the area & asked if they do business cards. I was told to talk to Nicole because she works with those requests. Next time I went in I saw Nicole & asked about simple business cards with black print on standard card stock. She said it'd be $10 with $15 to design it. I told her I just wanted plain cards with my name & address & phone number. She said the design would be around $15. So she texted me & emailed me & I went in to get the cards & she gouged me by charging me $45. I said I wouldn't be going in again for that type of business. I was then asked if I had AARP which I do & the price was dropped to $39 & change. The cards looked nice but wasn't the simple business cards I asked for--they were two colors on shiney card stock--Not what I ordered! read more

After seeing this locations reviews, I contacted this location for some flyer lamination and cutting of 26 flyers. I previously used an Office Depot for the same service. TLDR: At UPS you pay more for better quality materials and service, but it's definitely worth it! I'll outline the differences below. Price: approx $50 @ UPS vs approx $25 at OD Lamination thickness: UPS has lamination twice as thick as OD Cutting quality: At the UPS store, they cut an even outline around each flyer and even rounded the corners for me. At OD, they cut at the very edge of every flyer, and over the edge for a couple flyers, ruining the lamination, and also did not round corners, which has since caused some flyers to come apart at corners. Speed of service: UPS store took approx 24 hours and OD took about 24 minutes. Staff friendliness: The staff at both UPS and OD are friendly. Also of note: I believe that the OD employee said that my flyers would "just fit" side by side inside the laminate, which at the time, I didn't realize would mean that there would be no room for space along the edges, as a consequence of me trying to save some money on less square footage of laminate used. I think I might have even suggested trying to fit them side by side when she told me the price per square foot. After being unsatisfied with the quality of laminate, I specifically told UPS store I wanted an edge around the flyers and they said that that's how they always do it, so that might have been my fault for instructing OD to try to fit them together to save on feet of laminate used. Bottom Line: The difference in quality is reflected in the price and wait time. I would gladly pay $50 and wait longer for thicker lamination with greater attention to detail at UPS vs quicker service with thinner laminate and less attention to detail at OD. read more

Went in for a notary a few days ago, was unable to get one. I had to go to another UPS store. The service members were unknowledgeable about photo IDs. I needed 2 forms of ID, I was told my military ID and other state drivers license was not an official ID I could use. Even though I use my military ID with my passport when I visit other countries on vacation and use my driver's license to renew my passport. I am finding that I am having more consistent problems with this store. Today I received four separated messages with four separate scan numbers that UPS store scanned four separate packages into the system. When I got there they gave me 3packages and told me that was all that I had. I noticed the one package that I didn't have was an order my son (minor child living in my house) had placed. They wanted all my tracking numbers for each package. I told them I didn't have tracking for the missing package with my son's name on it. They proceeded to ask me if he was on my account and if he had his ID scanned for my account. He doesn't . He's one of my kids that live in my house. Santee, ca UPS store on mission Gorge. Multiple times I've been in there they were. 1. rude. 2. Don't no what there doing. Sent a pkg back didn't cover the right address up was in limbo at the post office for a month tell the postoffice figured out what ups did wrong.. I went in to drop off a prepaid package looking for the drop off box. I didn't see the drop off box so I asked the lady at the counter where to put the packages. She replied you have to wait in line behind these other customers as I have to check the packages. I replied the purpose of the drop off box and using prepaid shipping labels is so that a customer doesn't have to waste their time in line. Poor service. I took my packages, and dropped them off at a different Dropbox. Drop off at USPS or Staples, or any other place that offers shipping. read more

Expect to stand there for at least 10min per person in front of you. Like next time I'm going to bring a chair and a cooler. It is so frustratingly slow. It is literally the worst possible thing I have to do anytime I have to do a return to Amazon. I don't understand because my transaction takes less than a minute every time. Parking is also less than desirable and the shop is so small it usually has a line out the door. Getting a second kiosk to print out the label yourself with a tape gun would be nice because some people stand in front of it with 10+ items to return and are scrolling through their phone for ever looking for the labels to print. During the whole Covid outbreak, I have been ordering my fair share of Amazon products. Therefore, I have had issues with those and needed to send them back. I always choose UPS because it's a quick exchange. I did just witness an exchange after hours between two former customers and I assume an overnight worker where lots of name calling happened between the two parties. I find it a tad unprofessional that the overnighter decided to curse them out and call them "p*ssies". Not sure the name of this worker. read more

Yesterday I paid over $100 to send a package UPS Next Day Air. They created a label but never shipped the package. When I came into the store today the lady said the person who deals with this sort of thing isn't here and wouldn't even look to see if the package was still there. Then she said it would take at least a couple weeks to get a refund. They have a Next Day guarantee but now won't help me when they screwed up. AVOID THIS STORE. They have untrained people working there and didn't care that this package was extremely important and the contents are irreplaceable. read more

Came in the door with a deep sigh! My third stop trying to get my amz package Er back to its return center! I was so pleased when they greeted me promptly, quickly ushered me over to the scale, printed a tracking number, and I was out the door in literally under a minute. Mailed two packages today, Package one was 9 lbs 9 oz, receipt shows 30 lbs billable weight, dimensions were 17 x 17 x 17, cost to ship with them was $75.00. Package two, was 11 lbs 4 oz, receipt shows 75 lbs billable weight, dimensions were 37 x 21 x 16, cost to ship was $123.00. Total: $198.00 I understand that they are providing a convenience fee, I get it but the same items shipped in my box, packed by me, directly through UPS is normally less than $50.00. Never again, I asked the guy what the second box would cost me for shipping alone he said $85.00, garbage! Initially the guy told me that the second box was going to cost $168 but after my drop hit the counter somehow the price became $123.00. I had two more shipments but I was so disgusted with their prices I told them I would go directly to UPS. Look UPS Franchises up, they have no regulation and can charge whatever they want. Also... Now I am here, for the past two years I have used them to mail smaller stuff around Christmas, every time this store is under staffed with one person working, total nightmare... SAVE YOUR MONEY!
