I dread coming to this ups but it is the closet to my house. The older woman that works here is not even slightly welcoming acting like it is bothering her to do her job. I came in looking for boxes and when I asked where they were she just motioned her head which rubbed me the wrong way and her tone and sour composition doesn't help. Twice I have sent in an online simple print job, 8x11 paper with 20 copies, and each time I come in to pick it up, they have no clue about my order. The first time I thought it was a simple mistake. Now that I am sitting here a SECOND time, with my email confirmation in hand, and again they have no clue about my order. Not only that, but they have no clue how to print my order double sided! "SERVICE" - from the mouths of babes... There is something to be said for the awareness and attentiveness of your elementary schooler. When a child can make a comment about poor customer service before you, the adult with the critical eye - there is a problem. As our little one would say, "you know its bad." We walked into this location because it was on the way to a nearby destination...after a minute without anyone saying a word to us, we knew we had to get on Yelp and see if we were alone in our experience. Our customer service rating = poor. It took a friendly young woman to walk from the very back of the store past two other employees who knew we were there but never acknowledged us to finally offer assistance.... I will never come back to this store, even though it is the closest one to where I live. Staff with the short blonde hair helped another customer (which was not a quick transaction) immediately after I let her know what I was there for (for printing/scanning to email). When she turned to address me again, she was rude to me, and refused to budge on outlandish prices. I've worked for UPS Stores before, and I know that there are, in fact, occasionally waived fees for customers (especially when the transactions are related). She only got more and more irate with me, as if she were taking out her day on me. I took my transaction to The UPS Store on Alessandro Blvd instead. The staff there were very kind, the customer service was excellent, and they did it at their normal price which was less than half the price of this store. read more

Read the old reviews on "bad customer service" but every time I'm in there I receive great customer service! Granted, I come in with my packages ready to go... which I think puts less strain on them. Really though, ALWAYS good service! Prices are fine, I've never had an issue there. And I love their little cards! Big side note, but sometimes they're super funny.. I just had them make a banner for my son's deployment party. I simply emailed them what I wanted on it and asked them to design it. Great communication quickly sent me proofs of everything they had done and made changes when I changed my mind about some things. They did an AMAZING job! across the street from me, so I can not complain. I do go there when I need to have something shipped that requires tracking. kinda small but I am only going there for one reason so it fits my needs. Just wish the prices were not so high. Got charged 75 cents for a 50 cent stamp. I was not aware they could over charge stamps. Paid it and went on my merry way. read more

Normally I would take what I've seen in other reviews with a grain of salt, but everyone else has absolutely hit the nail on the head with this one. This place is awful. And everyone was right. The older woman with the short blonde hair should NOT be working with the public. She is flat out rude and I cannot believe she gets away with speaking to people the way they do. I full heartedly believe UPS needs to come in and check the way this woman acts because she is representing your name and brand, and if I was in the position, I would not want that to be my customers first impression. Needless to say after my experience here today with her alone, I will GLADLY drive the further distance to utilize another UPS location and I advise others to do so as well. read more

Beyond unimpressed by this UPS Store! We took a USPS Express Mailing in last Saturday 6/6/15 with the shipping label affixed to the package and a USPS Scan sheet sitting on top of it all ready to go. We handed it to an employee who assured us that USPS had not yet been there and left. Only because we were contacted by our customer today (who had not received her item) were we made aware that this item had not been shipped with the USPS on Saturday. Upon hearing this, we went back to the UPS Store today to confirm the item had left and maybe the tracking hadn't properly been updated on the USPS website. Only to find that the package was still sitting there on their counter. It appears their employees do not know how to read and therefor the Post Man that day did not take the item as they did not read the scan form nor bother to look at the package and see that it was all properly posted and ready to go. They assumed the Scan form sitting on top was our attempt at postage. They are all clearly incompetent and should not be in the shipping business if they do not know the shipping procedures for the businesses in which they offer services for. In addition they were not willing to cover the charges to ship the item overnight as the customer needed it tomorrow. Thus us loosing out on a large sale and possibly a repeat customer. We never have done much business with them prior but definitely will not do ANY business with them at all in the future!! read more

When I went in there the staff was very cold and unfriendly. I realized there was a tear in my box that needed tape. The woman asked if I wanted her to tape it and I said yes, she then said ok you can buy a roll or we charge a dollar to tape it for you... Wtf!!! Every store I have ever been to has gladly helped me tape my box for FREE! Even my friend who was with me who works for ups was shocked and laughed because they never charge to tape. I thought she was joking at first until I saw the serious stare on her face. I will never ever go back there. Even though it was just a dollar I felt like it was unnecessary to charge that and then make a comment about me using a moving box instead of a shipping box. Who cares! read more

I entrusted this UPS Store with the shipping of some very rare and expensive glasses across the country to Florida. I stressed the fragile nature of the glassware and the need for "special attention". The manager of the store, Kristi (Crystal Farmer) assured me she would personally pack and ship my three packages. They arrived on time and in great condition. The packing was done so well, if the packages had fallen off the truck, I don't believe they would have been damaged. All of the workers at this UPS Store were friendly and helpful. Really good and caring Customer Service is not dead in America. read more

My wife and I came to retrieve a parcel that was delivered to the UPS location and, for some reason, it was not immediately located. But Betty handled the confusion with professional courtesy and applied some problem-solving skills to solving the problem! A potentially unpleasant and frustrating event was avoided by Betty's judgement and skill. read more

Staff here is very rude. I am starting to think this of most UPS stores unfortunately. I was given attitude for wanting a drop off receipt for UPS packages that I was leaving. No, I am not going to leave 4 boxes there and not get a receipt. Sorry about that. It would be my word against yours if something were to happen. You are a UPS store. This is your job. To take my packages for UPS pick up and then give me a drop off receipt. It would also be nice if you did this with a smile and not an attitude. I don't know if this UPS store is worthy of one star. The store (5567) on Van Buren failed to tell me that a UPS driver has the authority to return a package if nobody answers the door upon delivery. I specifically declined to have it signed for so this didn't happen. So now I have to pay to have it shipped again. A note was left for the driver to leave the package on the back porch, just like everyone else does for my daughter and son-in-law. The store (5567) basically blew it off and said it was a UPS problem (someone needs to take a business course on customer relations). Talking to UPS, they weren't much better! So, it looks like I'll have to pay (someone else) to ship it again! read more

I took a package in to be shipped the first week of December. There were no other customers in the store. I had filled the UPS paperwork out at home, but didn't have the right sized box. I purchased a box and then the employee (older lady) took my items and left them on the counter next to the register. She said that she would pack it later and it would go out today. I didn't feel comfortable with the loose items sitting on the counter like that, unpacked, as I knew their value. I asked if she could pack it while I was still in the store. She said, "no, we don't do that. There are other customers' items ahead of you." I asked if I could pack it myself to ensure that all of the items made it into the box and she got very angry and told me should could get in trouble for doing that. I insisted on doing it myself or having it done before I left and she finally did so. She gave me an attitude and said that it wasn't there policy to pack it up while I waited. There is comfort and peace of mind, seeing it ready to go. So, needless to say, I won't go back to this location. I don't agree with their policy or their bad customer service! I'll pay the extra surcharges for better service at Postal Annex+ across the street. read more

Yesterday I went into that UPS Store on Van Buren and yes the "short haired older blonde lady" was so rude and hateful. I was just mailing a book and had forgotten the zip code home. I asked her if she could look it up since she was right on the computer. She said "No I can't because there are many Zip Codes for an area. I said, "It is a town in Maine with 700 people and hardly a population for a hundred miles around. She was nasty. I said OK give me the package and I will go to the post office. She then looked it up and said, Sure enough there is only one Zip Code. I said, "I told you I am from there and know about the Zip Codes." My husband and I were very cool to her and all of a sudden it was "Hon" this and that. Lady that doesn't cut it. Let me tell you Crystal is just as rude and not helpful. Once the time is up for our box it is Good-bye for us. I agree with you, "there are not many UPS stores where the people working there, usually the owners are totally lacking in customer service skills. We have been at three UPS Stores in the area and have found the same thing. Alessandro is terrible and La Sierra is just as bad! UPS Corporation train these franchisees customer service or you will be losing that part of your business just like FEDEX and Kinkos! Just because they have some retirement money and want to start their own business doesn't mean they understand that they are dealing with people/customers. Report to UPS!
