I came into the store as I had an item returned and wanted to talk about options. I asked for a manager and a very nice lady came out and we were having a pleasant conversation about my options. She had unfortunately informed me that I didn't have many, and I understood that. Then the owner John came over and asked what was going on and even though the issue was resolved, we started over. He immediately gave me attitude and was unpleasant. I told him I was informed by one of the people working in the store that the item I was shipping should ship without issue and he wanted me to point that person out (getting louder) and I refused to do so as I did not want to throw anyone under the bus. John then proceeded to call me a liar and was getting louder. So, I then pointed the person out as I felt my integrity was being questioned. He then raised his voice once again and told me he was not giving me a refund which was already resolved and I was ok with before he stepped in. The nice manager came in and assisted and I sent the package again. But congratulations John, despite having excellent workers you have lost all of my bulk mailings for my business, EDDM and any other shipping I do with my business/personally. I witnessed him treating another customer like crap previously and figured the owner just made a bad hire. But found out today that UPS Store made a bad decision by letting him become a franchise owner. Take the extra time and drive to another location. read more

The service is always exceptional and outstanding! The employees are so friendly and helpful, even when they are really busy. No stars! WARNING! DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE! This business is ran by unprofessional, rude and unorganized people.I went to this UPS Store for convenience to return some Amazon packages. The manager Ted stood in front of the door smoking a cigarette while I struggled to get packages inside. Than a blonde woman proceeded to tell me I didn't have enough labels for my packages. With a nasty undertone Also, to inform me that the Amazon app was wrong and my package would just there at UPS. I needed to call Amazon to request an extra label. I asked if this happened a lot because I have done returns this way plenty of times. Her response was " I don't know what to tell you i don't work for Amazon !" . Which escalated me to asking her not to speak to me that way we'll have a problem. She called the manager to the front and said in front of me "deal with her because I don't have time". I then cancelled my return and did it separately to a separate label. told the manager it now wanted me to print a label now .Ted the manager expressed he will print it out because he wanted to be done with me in my transaction . After this I asked him who was in charge .he replied he was I asked him who's over him because this is not the way you deal with customers .the situation could've been handled much better. which I proceeded to give the younger man there a complement because he was the only one that didn't have a rude comment. He started being rude it's like all three needed a turn at this point the whole staff is nasty. Called the owner from my car. The owner answered the phone with "what's the problem" I ask for office number so I can make sure I was submitting my complaint to the right person. his reply was "I've already asked you twice what's the problem " the whole damn store needs to be thrown in the trash .Now one of my packages is missing. I usually do not think twice about dropping off a package at a UPS Store for pickup, but after my experience with this store and the customer service here I will. Dropped my package off Saturday and did not expect UPS to pick it up until most likely Monday. Checked tracking just a short while ago and also contacted UPS and they have no record of it being picked up. So I reached out to this UPS store. Asked if I had a receipt and when I dropped it off which was Saturday. She then let me know they have it and picked it up Monday. I let her know I contacted UPS directly and they have no record it was picked up. She then stated well you have the receipt? Yes I do. Well then they picked it up...which makes no sense when I received the "receipt" Saturday and they would have picked it up AFTER I received the receipt. She then went into, well if you feel it was not delivered by the delivery date(there is no delivery date because they do not show it was picked up) to contact UPS to put in a trace. Just a complete lack of empathy and understanding with a explanation that makes me feel I am in the middle of a commercial for a different shipping company using this as the example of the bad service to expect from UPS. I just had the rudest interaction with a UPS owner John Crawford. I've been going to the store on 24 west Camelback for over 5 years. Today I went to return an amazon item. The man, who made sure to tell me he was the owner couldn't understand the difference between an amazon code and what his store prints off. I tried to explain it him, where he immediately started yelling at me. When I say yell, I mean it. He told me he's been doing this for years and I was wrong. I wasn't, but that's not the point. The point is he yelled at me and told me to get the fuck out of his store. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone at any store. The man may be an owner but UPS still has a brand to uphold and this was the worst example of abuse by an employee. Shame on you John Crawford. I wish I could give 0 stars. The "Owner" (who refused to give his name or a name badge) of this store is a terrible, unhappy human being. They were training a new employee even and now this girl has a VERY bad example of how to treat customers. I can honestly say that I have had very good experiences with the employees there until today. The so called owner was there with his lady friend and a new employee and was very rude, cuts you off multiple times mid sentence, doesn't ask for any information and just tells you your package is not there and to come back on Monday. This " postal service Nazi" has some kind of power trip going on and likes to make sure that all the people in the store know he's the BOSS and what he says goes. I literally waited till he left with his lady friend so that the regular employee, that is always so helpful, would help me and actually attempted to look for my package. I had to return a couple packages to Amazon and was advised to go to a UPS store and they would take care of it. This was my first time returning something back to Amazon this way so I went in and the guy who helped me was so rude! I noticed he was rude to the guy in front of me in how he was speaking to him and when it was my turn he was the same way.. My packages were not taped up so I asked him if he would do that since I wasn't sure of the process and he snapped at me and said he does this all the time so he knows what he's doing. Was in there briefly to drop some parcels off when I overheard an older gentleman working the front counter say to someone on the phone that he couldn't "understand your accent" so he wasn't able to help them. The woman helping me just timidly showed uneasiness as we both listened. Rather than finding other ways to assist, he says this to the customer. I'm sorry you're having a rough day, sir. My packaged arrived at their access point and got the email that it was available for pickup. I drove to the store to pick the package up and the guy at the counter said I can't get my package until it's process at 1pm. They need to get a better system for how you process packages. Don't make me drive all the way to your store then tell me i can't take my package when i could literally see it with my own eyes on the side of the desk. I sent a package to my daughter in Seattle in early August via the UPS Store. It never arrived. I have filed at least two claims, and spoke with someone from the store or the company at least ten times. At various times, I was told that they were not able to process the claim because my daughter had not talked to them (which was not true - she was not contacted). When my daughter was later home on vacation, I even had her visit the store to let them know she had not received the package. I was later told that they were looking for the package in Seattle. Today, I was told that the claim was closed because my daughter had told them that she received the package (which is not true). I was told that since their corporate office had proof that she received the package (that she did not receive), we could not open a claim. Regardless to say, I will never use UPS or the UPS Store again. read more

I came in for an appointment with the notary that I scheduled days in advance, to be told they don't have someone there by a polite 20-30's man who then went to go get back to work which was fine... While having that simple interaction the woman interrupted us super rudely to act like I can't just walk in and expect the person to be there... At which point I said I HAD AN APPOINTMENT, 10:00am with the notary and a witness which was approved hours later DAYS AGO. She proceeded to educate me on people being furloughed so I need to get over myself... As if nobody else in the country could possibly understand or be effected other than somebody HERE at this UPS location lol! NEWS FLASH! Everybody is affected in one way or another, Arizona LESS SO than most places! But regardless this is why I planned ahead myself and specifically chose to make an appointment at a location that said a notary would be available TODAY... Then chose one of the few hours they were available TODAY. This woman immediately talks to customers like that belligerent drunk girl in a dive bar, who thinks she caught you checking out her man but really you were trying to see if the restroom behind him was free. This is why I don't frequent dive bars and I guess this UPS location? So hostile, trashy and just out of line overall. LOL I made a complaint with headquarters immediately obviously and was told it is a franchise LOL! No wonder the woman is on a power trip, she thinks she answers to nobody! Well this is also why you are being furloughed so maybe don't ruin your business even further by alienating the few customers you're actually getting?? If people are being furloughed maybe when a customer comes in who isn't even being rude but confused what they are going to do next because YOUR LOCATION messed up? You should be understanding of the nice customers instead of immediately taking out your own crazy on everyone and protecting your inner hostility. This place had a total of 3 workers up front, and the two young ones behind the counter were rude and unprofessional. The girl with the black and red hair didn't smile or even move the frown on her face the entire time we were in there. I've been using this location for multiple years to drop packages off. Typically I prepay and don't have many lengthy interactions with staff. That changed today while I was in the store for 10 minutes and received the most egregious customer service I've ever experienced. I've never been treated with as much disrespect and unprovoked derision as I was by the owner of this franchise. I came in to pay for a shipment I had left for packing the previous day. I asked a staff member a question about the website and a man in a plain t-shirt (no ups decals) jumped in aggressively. I asked him if he worked at the store and he patronizingly responded "I'M THE OWNER OF THIS STORE!" as if there were any way to know that or any wrong in not knowing it. He continued to aggressively talk down to me in a condescending and demeaning tone as he rolled closer and closer in his chair, substituting knowledgeable answers with combative ones to end the conversation. Will not be returning and encourage others to use a different franchise as well. Unfortunate. read more

Was a little dismayed by all the scary reviews so I wanted to chime in. I dropped off two prepaid packages around 9am on a Saturday morning and both employees working the desk were quite courteous and pleasant. There was another customer buying a bag of packing peanuts, explaining her project to the employee, and the employee was explaining the best way to package the items and even offered to help her put the whole thing together. The customer declined because her items were at home, but the employee was more than ready to help. I have been here several times recently for both shipping and notary services. Each time I have been in I have had pretty poor customer service from Lana. She is rude to customers, and not just me. She refused twice to be a witness along with notary service. A witness signature is a service they charge $7 for (along with $10/signature for the notary), but I guess she is allowed to refuse to do her job. Rachel, the notary, was nice however. On my most recent visit I dropped off a pre-labeled package and Lana refused to give me a receipt, saying, "We don't give receipts anymore." Ummm, what? I went out to my car and thought about how uncomfortable I was dropping off an expensive package without getting a receipt. I went back in to ask again and a different staff member said, "Just give her a receipt." They gave me one with the wrong tracking number. I will not be using this store anymore and will be giving my money to someplace more professional. read more

Such a bummer that I rent my books through amazon and they chose to ship through UPS. This location is awful. The blonde lady who works here is rude and not help. She goes out of her way to make customers feel like crap and her condescending attitude is awful. She is just a mean person. Every semester I deal with her and it's so unpleasant. The reviews online are endlessly about her so I'm really not sure how she is still employed. The reviews speak for themselves.
