I had a UPS package shipped to this location so I could get something notarized and send it back immediately. When I arrived I was told the location had no notary. They also charged me a $10.00 pick up fee for the package. I easily could have had it shipped to my home or office (without charge). I was just trying to make it easy. Lesson learned- Store does not have what they advertise- and will charge you without being able to provide the service needed. Stay away until they are better organized. However after reading other reviews I do not think this will happen here--- just find a better location. read more

Terrible customer service. My neighbor went to return an amazon package and they would not help him print the label. He is elderly and doesn't own a computer or printer. They told him he can print the label out on their computer for $2 fee with debit card only. He told them he doesn't have debit card only cash. He also asked if they would help him with the process because he cant read or write and again they told him no, can't help him. I know this happened because he had me on speaker phone. They were rude and short with him. I personally will never use this place again. He left there feeling worthless because of the insensitive interaction the employees had with him. Had no idea a UPS store could be so terrible. Was quoted 19 for ship at a different location, and 15 for the box. The box I need is a strange shape so I just gave up and decided to purchase one. When i was first charged, I was charged 38 dollars. 4 bucks more, whatever, tax and maybe a mistake on the quote. Paid for it and someone I can only assume is the owner or upper management looked at the receipt and asked the cashier why the box wasnt on there. They check everything and say I need to pay another 16.99. Abysmal customer experience and now I have to wait a few days for my refund and half an hour wasted. read more

I decided to pay for packing service because some of the mugs I ordered to send out as gifts arrived broken. I had four boxes to send out--four mugs and four cards--and asked the person at the counter to put one mug in each box, with the card that had the name that corresponded with the recipient. Somehow that simple task was quite difficult. One person let me know their box came with two cards. Two other people had no cards. I'm not sure how many cards ended up in the fourth box, but I was pretty darn disappointed that this simple task proved to be too difficult, especially with what they're charging. Will stick to USPS (or maybe a UPS store closer to where I live) next time. read more

I shipped out a memorial original American flag painting (painted by me) for a collector from this location 6/14 at 1040am. They even sealed it up with tape for me. This was a HUGE box that was over 30 x 40 inches with about a 6 inch thickness to the box. They put my pre printed and paid for label on it in a sleeve. Then I was given a printed proof of shipment receipt that I dropped it off. Days go by.....no tracking other than it was shipped on 6/14 from phoenix. More days go by....then I have to contact UPS to put in an investigation. After weeks of going back and forth with UPS they closed the investigation. Now the package is considered damaged/missing and no accountability whatsoever. I did wind up getting the owner of this stores # and he was rude, condescending and basically was absolutely no help. I will make sure to tell as many people as I can not to use this location. I also went to the main Phoenix hub location and they could not locate the package and they even said someone from this store probably either stole it or the driver did. It looked like it was a TV box so I'm sure that's what they thought it was. I'm looking into this further and possibly with legal action as there is no accountability and basically now packages can just go missing/stolen with no repercussions. Stay away from this location and any other location the owner has in the valley. Now my collectors memorial painting is gone and this is how UPS and this store treats Veterans. I am pretty shocked this place has such low ratings. The older tanned man that worked there who says he owns this and 4 other ups stores with his brother just treated me and two other girls in there after me with such hospitality and made all our days. We were all in there chatting and laughing like friends and we were all strangers. It was also raining tonight which usually puts people in bad moods. I was definitely not in the best mood but not a bad one either. I left with a smile on my face thanks to the guy working there. I hope I never will get a chance to experience the bad reviews posted here but until I do I will keep returning. Ps! They sell services they are not competent to complete and become rude, aggressive, and dismissive when confronted about the sub-par service. The child they call the assistant manager is a complete idiot and clueless as to what customer service is or how to be a manager. He just stares when you are talking to him as though he is high or something don't. I dont how this idiot is an assistant manager. When dealing with about a bad service and requesting a refund he was so rude and dismissive that it was all I could do to keep from dragging him over the counter and punching him in the face. The owner is no winner either, it seems that he is also clueless about customer service. He must have missed this part of the training by UPS when he purchased the franchise. Here is a tip try to understand your customer and at minimum be polite and offer solutions. Refusing to refund $18 results in costing you customers that would spend hundreds more in the future. All I wanted was to print one page but they sent me to some computer to print it myself, not like the other stores that you email what you want printed. The computer and software is straight out of the year 2000 and so counterintuitve. Do you like shoddy printing jobs that aren't completed at the time guaranteed? Then this is your place! As soon as you open the door, it reeks of BO. The online printing service is a joke and, per the store manager, they "don't get that many orders," so they "don't really check it." I came in over two hours after it was to be ready and they hadn't started it... since they hadn't checked to see if there were orders since I sent it in the previous morning. I was told to come back an hour later. Upon my arrival, I was handed a box and told "everything is in there." When I checked it in my car, they missed that a sheet needed to be on card stock and laminated. I return to correct the issue and the store manager makes a copy and laminates it... which leaves black marks on the company logo. I ask them to correct it and the next one has black marks on it. Then I was told, "well, it's our laminator so that's the way it is." I get that maybe print quality doesn't matter much to their staff or store manager, but when it's for my work, I care. A little attention to detail and professionalism goes a long way. But hey, there are cartoons for the employees to watch between customers, so that's just dandy. I had color copies made here. The staff did not know the prices and then they charged me $1.50 for me to use their computer to access the file from my flash drive. The computer was so out of date it could not even read a Word 2007 file. When I looked at the copies the next morning they were misaligned and the print quality looked like a poor inkjet rather than a laser print. I called them and they said they would have to talk to the manager. When I went back after the weekend, he was not there and the clerk would not give me a refund. Poor equipment Poor attitude Poor customer service. There are other UPS stores relatively close. I suggest you use those. I will stick to my local one in Ahwatukee. read more

I have been using this store for some time now and noticed the manager was always in a bad mood. As each time passed it just seemed odd the mood was always the same. Well this last time I spoke with Ted (manager) he tried to upsell items I didn't need. In asking questions as to why I would need them it aggravated him to explain. So much so that he got argumentative, my assumption is I didn't say "yes" to all the unnecessary items. I come to find out there is another store on 32nd st and Camelback, not far, that is great. Customers come first and when it becomes a problem just to do simple tasks I'd rather go elsewhere. Save yourself time and aggravation and use another store, not worth it. read more

UPS needs to do review on this store and shut them down. They are ruining the UPS brand. The clerks who work here are very rude. I walked in there needing to ship something specifically "overnight" and was given options that were not overnight/next day. I was at the store at 1pm which is relatively early and before the cut off for next day. I was assured that the shipping service I purchased was going to be next day. Then throughout the night I was checking the tracking number and the product had not left. The next morning I call the store and they say that they still have the product. I was sending a passport that needed to be at my destination by 2 days after the first day I initially tried to send it (I chose next day "overnight" to get it there one day before luckily). After talking to the store over the phone and asking them why the package was not delivered, they told me I did not choose an "overnight" service. The one thing that I specifically told them was that "this needs to be sent overnight so that it will arrive tomorrow". Then they tried to charge me more money saying that I did not purchase an overnight product. Which first of all, I asked specifically only for their overnight options, why would you give me an option that is not overnight. Second, even if your incompetent clerks selected a service that is not overnight, why would it still be there. I am assuming if it's not overnight, it should still be on it's way for 2nd day and my 1 day cushion would save me. So I ask the clerk to tell the owner to give me a call. The owner did not give me a call back and told the clerk, "I will not settle the difference for this, he will pay it or I will throw it away." So the asshole wants to throw away the passport that I need to send because his staff sold me the incorrect service. I specifically stated to his clerks that the package "needed to be there by tomorrow" and said "overnight" several times. I paid a hefty premium as well for this service given that the product weights much less than 1 pound and I was there relatively early in the day. These guys are incompetent, distrustful and unreliable. If you need to ship something important, consider using another UPS store or Fedex. read more

I had to ship a pair of shoes with a prepaid label. I came with just the shoes thinking I could just by the box and tape it up. (I brought my own packing tape) I explained that I needed a box and went to grab one and the lady behind the counter stated I could not pack my own box. She had to pack it and it would cost $16 or so. I left immediately and went to the Fedex store across the street at towne and country. I went in and bought a box for $2. They offered my tape FOR FREE and apologized for UPS and said the person working there was probably scamming people. Sounded like it to me too originally. So I packed my box and wanted to ship through Fedex, unfortunately, postage was already paid for through UPS. So I took the box back and told the lady I bought a box and packed it myself over at Fedex for $2. To which she replied "Good for you!". I will not go back to this location. read more

She gave us a quick glance, then without so much as a "Hello" went back to her clearly critical txting duties, leaving us to stand there in confusion. After several moments she glanced up again, gave an annoyed sigh and snarkily asked what we wanted. When we told her we had a pre-labeled package to drop off, she rolled her eyes, pointed at the counter as if to say "just leave it there", then immediately returned to her phone. I don't have particularly high expectations of minimum-wage workers, but I was absolutely floored at the utter lack of professionalism - she didn't even bother to acknowledge us, much less get off her ass. She basically acted like a snarky little bitch who was angry that we had interrupted her vital social networking session. Keep in mind - this was a prepaid, pre-packed (yup, taped and everything), pre-addressed package, there was NOTHING for her to do except for be polite, take the package, and put it in the pile for UPS pickup, then go back to her self-involved narcissism session. Anyhow, the good news is that if this goes on long enough, the store will lose business (or more likely their entire franchise), shut down, and then she'll have plenty of time to play with her phone while sitting on her ass in the unemployment office instead of being annoyed by paying customers. For shipping small stuff, like sub 10"x10"x10", then this place is alright and stays pretty true to the UPS shipping calculator. However, after that size, things go all to hell in a hand basket. Entered on the UPS shipping calculator a bike box and its weight. According to the dimensions and weight, it should have been $82.40 to ship my bike from Phoenix to Kansas. However, the kid at the register quotes me $155. I make him remeasure, and his numbers were almost 15" off, which really does affect the price of shipping. He tries to play it off, telling me that if he'd gotten it right it would only save me $3. I grabbed my box, drove to the USPS up the street, and shipped the bike for $80 flat to my guy in Kansas. I get that businesses are in business to make money, but this is some bullshit price gouging. If you're shipping a big parcel, avoid this place. read more

I never thought I'd see the day I'd actually log on here to make a bad review.. I never thought I'd waste my time. I was using a link sent via email to track a package coming to my home and unfortunately missed the delivery. When I called the UPS location the website said it was going to be dropped off, the person who I spoke with said it would be available the next business day. No mention of time or anything like that. When I showed up a worker was in the office and came out and looked disinterested. Maybe it was because I was there right when it opened? When I gave him my address he told me he didn't have anything for me. I explained to him I called and talked to someone who had told me to come pick it up at this location. He laughed and told me that I didn't call this location. I pulled out my phone and hit redial and his store phone started to ring.. he started cussing at me telling me I need to learn how to "f&$king read," called me a "piece of sh*t" for some reason, presumably because I embarrassed him and proved him wrong right in front of him. He wouldn't give me a name of a manager or someone to talk to and threatened to call the police to have me arrested for harassment when I tried to get that Information from him. If he's not the manager, based on other reviews I read about this location, his manager doesn't care about this type of customer service. I have no say on which ups access point my package goes to or I'd choose a different one, hands down. If your package is being delivered here, you're screwed.. I wouldn't recommended this place for ANY ups services. I even attached a copy of their website I was using where it makes no mention of a time to pick it up at. read more
