UPS STORE at 19th St. and Camelback This review is for the UPS store at 19th St. and Camelback. I used to like this store (19 St. and Camelback.) I had an Amazon return and asked them to print a label, which they did for $4.50. Sort of astronomical for a piece of paper. I let that experience go but then I had another return for Amazon today and was told I needed to purchase a box...understandable. Until they said a plain box for it was $40. Clerk said the owner sets the prices. I went to Uhaul to get a box for $1.86. I think the UPS store at Camelback and 32nd St. is way more helpful and much less expensive for boxes and copies. read more

Every time I come here, the service is always friendly and helpful. And the store is clean. They also get in at 8:30 AM on the weekdays and 9am Sat and 12pm Sun which is very helpful! I have mailed items that needed to be bubble wrapped and packaged securely as well as drop off returns and feel it's a pretty good value considering the other options. read more

I'm a UPS retiree-37 years. Got a mailbox, paid for it and after I paid, they tell me they have no keys to the mailbox and don't know when they will have them. I asked for a refund and apparently it's in the contract that I can't cancel. But I assume it's in the contract you should have access. I can wait in line and they can retrieve my mail. Asked for a manager and the representative said "I won't call him." Plus no notary. At all cost, skip this place there's other UPS Stores (Hayden Rd. Scottsdale) that are great. read more

This was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Everyone I dealt with in here was extremely rude. I asked for a box half the size of the one I was shipping and it was like I asked them to go run half a marathon in July. WOW. Went in to send 2 packages to clients. Guaranteed by a certain day. When one of them was not delivered as promised, I went in to the store to have it sent back to me and of course, refunded. I was told the manager, CJ would call me. Never heard a word. An entire week later, after I saw online the package was delivered to my client, (too late as I had to resend overnight with Fed Ex as UPS couldn't offer this), I went back in to the UPS store, and was told, again, CJ would call me. I have just started using UPS instead of FED EX because they have Notary service. I can not tell you how happy I am with the friendly, professional service offered. Especially by Gianni. He is incredible nice and helpful. I'm involved in and estate and have literally been having to do something every day. Sending, shipping and notary. Can I give zero stars? This store (19th & E Camelback) "lost" ((STOLE!) my package & the owner did not care and got in my face to intimidate me. I first arrive with a sealed box containing a gift for my brother. The attendant offered to sell me a smaller box & repackage the gift since the savings on the cost of shipping was more than the extra cost of the new box. The attendant tells me I don't need to wait around cause he's "got it". You guessed it! The package was never delivered! I called the store & stopped by several times & got brushed off each time including by the owner (it'll get there"). I dropped by the store again during operating hours & the store was closed. So, I went to another store (not the other store this owner owns @ central & camelback with equally terrible reviews) to find out what happened to my package. Turns out my package was never logged in by the ups driver who was supposed to pick it up from the store. So, according to the local store with great reviews (& owned by someone else), either the package never made it onto the truck or the driver somehow forgot to log it in. What do you think happened? By the way, it was a holiday & the good store said the national office required all the stores to keep minimum hours that day (meaning the store @ 19th & Camelback was in violation of the corporate rules). I go back to the store hoping the owner would eventually comply with the national office so I could follow up with the owner based on the new information. This is when the owner was rude & aggressive. I can honestly say I felt threatened. I wonder how many other people's packages have been "lost" by this store (& I wonder how many other people have been threatened by the owner)! My package was never delivered, I never collected on the insurance, & the store owner never followed up again with me (as he promised he'd do). I guess the owner got what he wanted ... blow me off time & again til I eventually give up ... This store @ 19th & E Camelback, and the other one owned by the same guy @ central & camelback, have terrible Yelp reviews for a reason! I had an absolutely terrible experience at this UPS store today. The employee Robert, was extremely rude and told me to go elsewhere because he asked me an unnecessary question. However he ends up ringing me up. He didn't include my return receipt with my receipt so I grabbed it and walk out. He proceeds gives me attitude and says that he needs it and I tell him it's common sense to give the return receipt that I paid for with the receipt. He then tells me to take my " bitch ass" somewhere else. Now I look and see that there are many reviews about the extremely rude and verbally aggressive employees, and I came to say that this behavior and treatment is still happening. I was given a dummy label that turned out to be from another customer. The store's staff were rude and verbally aggressive when discussing the incident, offering no solution or recourse. Lived in az for the summer. Had to ship all of my clothes and personal products home to Wisconsin. Confirmed shipping address with the rep and sadly they ended up at a completely incorrect address. When I called ups, their service was horrific. Janelle from customer service should be fired. When I called the store the location in Scottsdale (located on greenway next to Safeway DO NOT GO THERE) the young man who answered was equally horrific. GAVE ZERO FXXXS that there was an issue and tried to blame me. Thankfully Heather from that store called me the next day to follow up. Apologized profusely for her POS co-worker and made sure the boxes were on their way to the correct address. Heather was awesome. I usually do not have an issue dropping off a package at any UPS store...boy was I wrong and will definitely make sure I use a more reputable place. Dropped of a package on Saturday, by Wednesday afternoon still does not show picked up or any movement on the tracking on UPS site. Contacted UPS and they do not show any movement for the package or that it was ever picked up. Contact the store and they ask when I dropped it off...Saturday...and do I have a receipt...Yes. They then let me know the package would have been picked up on Monday. I understood and figured Monday would be the most likely date, but does not show picked up. If I could give 0 for nothing I would. When my package was stolen, I stopped using them. I ordered a phone from Verizon and it could not be delivered, so I tried to have it re delivered but it was delivered to the "fraud of a business" The package was signed for by David, but when he went to get his package, he wasd told it was not there. Bull Bull Bull. Then I called and let them know that I was fling a claim and hope that an internal investigation happens. I just went to check the claim and you see that a new shipping label was created and being being returned back to Verizon and the so called reason. Receiver refused shipment. Horrible lies. My husband went up there 3 times. We have lived in this area for 8 years and have seen this store decline in so many ways. I've been going to this store over the last year and most of the negative reviews are coming during the pandemic. What I've seen is an owner who keeps his business fully operational and fully staffed during a pandemic. Are they a younger bunch? Sure. Are kids distracted sometimes? Yeah. People make mistakes, but every time I've personally been there these guys help me, we joke and have a great conversation. The owner is great and we chat from time to time. Very poorly ran UPS store. Came one day to set up a PO Box & manager able to do so wasn't there. They said just reschedule an appointment later in the week and he'll make sure he's here. I rescheduled and today when I came in no one was there that was able to set up a PO Box. Then the lady at counter said just come back at 1pm, If I could have come back at 1pm I would have scheduled it for then. This franchise, owned by John Crawford, attached the wrong label to my package and refuses to follow up or even try to find where my package was actually sent. It seems easy enough to access the shipping files from that day and time (digital time stamp) and see who got my package. But perhaps he doesn't know how or doesn't care. BEWARE!!!! Today I came in during the afternoon to ship 2 boxes to Canada using a company account number. The employee told me they don't ship with account numbers and that I needed to go to a UPS warehouse facility to do so. I have never heard of this ever that a UPS store won't ship something with a UPS account. This is why businesses don't thrive anymore. The lack of service and the willingness to help a customer that has a reasonable request that other UPS stores have done recently. I now understand why UPS Stores get only 2 star. Actually I am suprised it's more than one. Today I phoned the one near me to set up an appointment to have a document notarized. The phone was eventually answered by a recorded message telling me to leave a message and they'd call me back. I left a message. No one ever called me back. It's now 8;15 pm. I will NEVER go to that store for anything! As a backup plan I contacted another UPS Store that told me to schedule on line, which we did. The appointment was for 2:00. We walked in at 1:54 and got in line. A person ahead of us said they were there to see a notary. the Notary promptly called them up.. We mentioned that we had an appointment, and could show it to them on our phone. The took the nextt two peouple ahead of us and told us that they don't schedule appointments on line. We again showed them our appontment confirmation on the phone. We heard some babble about the owner would have told us they don't do that. Almost a half hour later, we received the Notary service we required. I will NEVER go to that store again for anything! In fact, I'm done with UPS for life! read more

Not sure why this store has two different Yelp pages but I will ensure to repost my review. Wow. Where do I even begin? First off, no surprise that this location has 2/5 stars. Not to mention, negative reviews about the employees and owner. I dropped off two packages that needed to be returned to two different locations. I printed out my own labels assuming I was doing the right thing as I don't do returns often. I shared with the UPS agent that I have my own labels printed out and that I am more than happy to pack it up and tape the labels myself. However, the agent was more than happy to assist with the packing in the moment and told me he would take care of it after showing him which label belongs to which package. A week goes by and I continuously check the status of each return with no progress made. Finally, I hear back from one of the stores stating that they received the wrong clothing item in the package!!! With that being said, my first stop was back to the UPS store where I dropped off the returns. The only competent employee that works here is Ozzie. He is the only one who shared empathy toward the mistake that the store made. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to provide much assistance as he has never created a 'claim' for any customer. Pretty bizarre that their employees don't have any idea how make a claim to corporate for customers when that's a huge part of their job. The employee proceeded to tell me he would relay this to the owner and have it resolved. It took a total of 2 days for the owner to finally give me a call in regards to this situation. I cannot express how disappointed I am after speaking with John, the owner. From the beginning, he was rude without even hearing me out. I kept my composure as I explained the situation. He asked whether or not I printed out the labels myself and if I had the boxes ready to go for the agent to send off. I shared that I didn't know it was my responsibility to have it all packed up especially when the agent insists he packages them up for me. He proceeds to BLAME me for the employees ERROR!!!! The least he could have done was refund me the amount for what I expected back from the returns. There was no resolution provided except him blaming me for 'my mistake'. In fact, the owner HUNG UP on me. It is not my fault your employees are incompetent and lack trainings on how to properly handle packages. The lack of customer service and empathy is shocking to me. How do you own a store with an attitude like that? But again, it makes total sense as to why this place has a total of 2 stars with most negative reviews. Mark my words Mark's UPS store is more of a downer than an "Ups" The owner Mark is not a nice person. He comes across as a sexist and a racist. Customer service is definitely not his strong suit. The two young ladies are very nice that work there, but they are probably not treated right by the owner as well. All UPS stores aren't created equally (they may have the same look 'n' feel, but they're individually owned). I've stopped in here a couple of times -- on one occasion the employee didn't seem to know how to work the copy machine, and on another occasion I discovered that this location doesn't do passport photos. On all occasions, this particular store has had an unkempt, cluttered appearance which seems unprofessional. The last time I was in here (which will be the last) I noticed the mailbox fees on the wall. Why someone would rent a mailbox at a UPS store instead of the much less expensive post office-option is beyond me. I also never got the impression of "I'm happy to see you, customer! Sadly disappointed in the customer service attitude and total lack of personality! Took three 50# +/- packages there to ship. NOT to play the "gimp" card, but I'm in a wheelchair... after bringing the first one in, seems like I wouldn't need to beg for some help. The dude at the counter hand no smile, no welcoming attitude and, in fact, I don't even remember a greeting! Just short questions about the address, etc. I should have been worried when a man who had been ignored for some time, asked another clerk for a US stamp. While this is not a Post Office, the ¢91 cent price was ridiculous... the gentleman questioned it and the clerk said, "It will be cheaper across the street at the Post Office". The guy shook his head and left. That ¢40+ upcharge cost the store any future business from that guy OR ME! If I wasn't a gimp in a wheelchair I would have grabbed my boxes and left right then! Expecting and upcharge for their "service" (LOL)... I get the bill!?!?! I've done this same shipment numerous times before, albeit at UPS.. Always around $350. I was willing to pay a reasonable upcharge for the nearby convenience (maybe $50/box because they're large??? - $150+/-); HOWEVER, I was shocked that after the experiencing the crappy attitude and seeing their loss of any future business over a lousy 40 cent stamp upcharge... My bill was $635.35! A $285+ upcharge isn't reasonable. Again... If I wasn't a gimp in a wheelchair I would have grabbed my boxes and left! I should have looked at the reviews before I went here. Obviously, the owner doesn't care about his business OR his customers. My shipping costs are typically $500 - 1,000 per month. While I was looking for and willing to pay for the convenience of nearby... I will NOT be using this UPS Store for any future needs! read more

I have to say after reading the reviews I was a little nervous about sending $15,000 worth of power systems to Virginia via freight but this shop made it happen when others couldn't and it was seamless, smooth and successful. Horrible customer service. 3 x now I've tried to patronize this local business, but when you make me feel like I'm doing you a favor, have your owner park in handicap spot right in front of store so customers carrying things have to walk around, and then charge us to print a label that Amazon say will be free to print? I spent over $5 to ship something back that was "free"....This store told me it's up to the local UPS store if they want to charge? Talk about nickel and dime-ing people. No thank you. I've now gone to the 32nd and camelback store and they are so nice, so accommodating, and happy to help. Do yourself a favor and drive 2 miles up the road and have a great experience.
