I ended up paying $4.59 printing a black and white page of shipping label cuz they charge a ridiculous 10 mins "computer time" plus $1 for one page of print. I probably come here too often, a tip off that I order too much stuff and know Amazon and my UPS driver on a first name basis :-) I do a ton of returns and this is my local drop off UPS location. Everyone here has always been super friendly and helpful. My husband has also used this location to ship stuff for his business and has had positive experiences. I've been happy with other UPS Stores but this one was horrible. I was quite disappointed with how they shipped my package. I will never use them again. They used much bigger boxes than were necessary which increased the cost of shipping to $570 from what it should have been (well under $300). The box they used was flimsy and arrived with several big holes and was falling apart (I took lots of pictures). For a company that is supposed to be specialized in packaging and shipping they did a horrible job with this. The contents were not secured well and were free to move around in the box. Went there for notary service. The woman (owner?) on duty was quite abrupt bordering impolite. I have been here before to send a package and the man who helped me was very helpful. This time her attitude was like I was bothering her. Afterwards I asked if she had any adhesive tape to seal the envelop and she told me to go to FedEx. read more

The man that helped me today was nothing short of amazing!! I told him I had just come from another store that didn't help me and I had no clue what I was doing!! Typically I send everything via the post office. But I was advised to use a different company for the fact it was a "large check". So I go to a store down the street and no help. I was told to fill out the form. But when I came to this store the gentlemen gave me what I needed to fill out and told me the different options for getting this check to its specific place. Wanted to make some copies (~80 pages). Library copiers were $0.15/page so I went to Kinko's. Copies were only $0.10/page but there were no empty copiers and it looked like it might be a wait. So I left Kinko's and came to The UPS Store just one block over. They had two nice copiers and no line, and they were also only $0.10/page. The people behind the counter were nice and friendly, and there was a reasonably steady stream of customers who would come in to drop off packages. When I was done, I simply told the guy behind the counter how many copies I had made, and he took me at my word. Overall it was exactly what I was looking for, and I now know where to go if/when I need to make more copies. read more

This place is very convenient since I have a lot of business in the area, I've gotten some basic things done here. One employee (man) is helpful and seems competent with the basic items I needed. However on 1 occasion I received service from a woman who had no idea what she was doing, was on her phone and seemed annoyed that she had to work and attend to customers. The other guy had to basically do the whole transaction for her (entering addresses and printing a mailing label), and she was snippy to him when he was walking her through each step ("no I don't know that. No I don't know that. No, not that. ") and she seemed pissed that he was trying to help her too. He wound up doing almost everything. This was subpar customer service (not being new and learning new things, but the presentation to the public this business is making through this employee's attitude), but I didn't care that time since it finally got done. I was also willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day or maybe there was some beef between the two. None of these people appeared to be the owner. However, I'm compelled now to write this review for what happened today to my husband with the same employee as this appears to be a pattern of unhelpfulness/incompetence. My husband this morning specifically took time off work to get passport photos, i recommended this place because on previous visits they said they did them. When he got there, my husband was told by the same female employee "sorry I always let him (another employee) do it because I am short and the picture always comes out crooked. He'll be here in like 15 minutes." (my husband went somewhere else since he got a weird vibe off her and the distinct feeling that she didn't want to do any work rather than it being a real excuse. At the other place, a short, tiny man took perfectly good pictures for him.) Being short is not a professional reason to not provide passport picture services. If an employee is in training and does not know how to use the camera yet, they should say so. This is understandable. The employee not wanting to take them because she's too short is not understandable and it just seems like she wants to push the work on her coworkers while wasting customer and employer time. I don't need super friendly staff, just people who are doing their jobs and not being lazy and making me watch the whole spectacle of them being lazy and lying to us about being short so they can't help. These experiences are enough to deter us from returning since life's too short to encounter this employee again when there are choices out there. It's too bad, this place could be a very useful stop. read more

I worked with Jessica over a period of 4 months working to gather all the information required to submit and settle a claim for an item damaged in shipment. It was Jessica's persistence and thoroughness to walk through the necessary steps that made the outcome a positive one. Jessica's follow-up and courteousness are qualities sometimes missing from companies these days. UPS prides itself on their customer service, and Jessica leads by example. I became a customer here when I took a mailbox back in 2009. The owner (Sashi) was helpful as I was out of town at that time and helped me open the mailbox with minimal delays. Even though I no longer use the mailbox services (I do not need a mailbox anymore), I go there for occasional shipments and to drop off my Amazon returns. Always received first class service. The UPS really messed up my delivery. It was scheduled for Fri 4:30 - 8:30 PM. I got home at 3, UPS already came. I called and was guaranteed it would be here Mon by 8:30 PM. No delivery. I called again was again reassured by Tues. I stayed home again all day, I called and spoke to a couple people before speaking to a Supervisor at my request. I was told it was at the UPS office in Millbrae. I had stayed home for almost 3 days waiting for this package. She said she would call UPS and have them call me within 1 hour. I told her if not today, send it back, I cannot stay home for the 4th day, I have things to do, its the week before Christmas. I received no delivery, my package is going back. This is absolutely horrible service on UPS. read more

I have been here multiple times mostly because it's the only place in Millbrae that I know that offers both notary and live scan and it's like two blocks from my house. The first time I went for a document to be notarized. The young man was nice and helped me promptly. However after leaving the store I noticed he forgot to stamp the notary seal. I just went back and he stamped it, no big deal - he probably just forgot because he was too busy trying to make small talk with me. I went back again a few weeks later to get a live scan done for my pharmacist application. The same young man helped me. Now I explained that everything had to be perfect because California state board of pharmacy is very specific about having the correct information. Once again his small talk was a little unnecessary because I had to recheck his work and he omitted my middle name AND inputted my birthday wrong. He had to go back after he had already press submit and edit the information. I also have to mention that I did put down my security number because it is MANDATORY for submission for my application. So I paid the hefty $80 and left and mailed in my application. About 6 weeks later I get a letter from the board of pharmacy saying that my ssn was submitted incorrectly. Now this made me furious because I would need a new live scan in order to sit for the boards. I brought back my receipt and copy of my previous live scan back to the ups store and a new form. The guy recognized me and asked why I needed another one and I just simply stated that the last one didn't match and was invalid. He then got all defensive and told me to show him the letter from CA board of pharmacy stating that my live scan either had the incorrect ssn or was omitted. Then who I believe was his supervisor then tried to tell me that asking for Ssn was optional and not required which I thought was an absurd defense because on my form it says it is mandatory and I did specifically request that my ssn be inputted last time. Then he proceeded to rudely ask me "well who is going to pay for this new one?". Now I didn't mind paying for a new live scan because I understand it's hard to specifically track down where it all went wrong in the first place. But I did not appreciate his attitude about it. I told him that I would pay for it and then he stopped getting all defensive. It was very poor customer service - they were rude, ignorant and disrespectful. It wasn't until I offered that I would pay that his attitude changed. I feel like I should not have paid for the processing fee (the FBI and doj fee I understand and totally cool with repaying). The supervisor then redid my scan. I also needed to photocopy a copy of my ss card and passport which the younger fellow helped me. He then had the audacity to try and charge me 10cents for the copy. Which the supervisor immediately said it was no charge SINCE I ALREADY PAID ANOTHER $80. Dear ups store. Not only am I giving you a bad review on yelp - I am filling out a customer service survey so that your big bosses know how you handle your business. So overall to my fellow Millbrae residents - if you need important shit done like notary and live scan, don't go here. read more

IF I CAN GIVE A -1000 STAR I WOULD. I just file a complaint with the customer service to let them know how horrible this place is. I should have read the reviews here before I did my live scan at this unprofessional place because the same problem seems to occur here all the time. I had a live scan done here TWICE for my license and they manage to mess up TWICE!!! And the worst part of this whole thing is not that I still don't have my license 5 months after my application or how I wasted a lot of money on a live scan that I end up doing again somewhere else. It's the fact that although they messed up my live scan they were so to rude to me. And the manager didn't even apologize or try to help me after I explained to him about the situation. He never replied my calls so I had to go to the store myself several times just to get a hold of him. This is the second time I sent a package to my mother in law and paid extra for 2nd day delivery. They told me it would've delivered by Friday but still hasn't delivered yet. This happened before and now I won't use ups delivery anymore. They th argue extra cost but will deliver standard delivery where it takes a week. We have used serveral UPS and Postal Annex locations over the years as we move around. This particular UPS store goes above and beyond the normal postal service for their customers. The owner and staff always provide excellent service and really go out of their way for all your shipping needs (even when they are very busy during the holidays). They even assisted us on occasion with arranging for freight shipping for pallet items. read more

Ok, I'll be honest. I'm in this store every other week for the past four years but I've only purchased on thing/service. :) I drop off boxes that are pre-labeled for shipping every other week. I don't think he makes money on it so I'm always happy to see how nice, pleasant and welcoming he is. Maybe he is making a little cut. Regardless, great guy owns this one, they all really do bend over backwards to help you out. And I used his notary service once. I love this place! We have used two other UPS stores over the years because I like what UPS has to offer but the service in those other two locations was awful! I have a box here for my business because we have a virtual company with everyone working remotely but needed a physical address. Shashi is great and always is helpful. I was in yesterday to ship a laptop to another employee out of state and it was a very pleasant experience. We have used them for shipping and big copy projects as well as for the mailbox and always felt they did a great job. They are an essential part of our business and I suggest you check them out because they are the best in the area!! read more
