I've been going to this UPS location for a few years to ship items. I've never had an issue with them. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. I've even used their notary and fingerprinting services (which is really convenient and nice to have in the store, even without an appointment). Today when I was there with my sister, the customer in front of me brought in three items to ship. Two were in Amazon boxes and one was in a non-shipping box. It was a small white box with a picture of an item on it. It clearly was a regular box bought in a store with an item in it that he found and put a shipping label on. The manager, Kavin, told the man he couldn't ship the item as it was since it wasn't in a shipping box. The customer was so unbelievably rude to Kavin; it was sad. He kept telling him to ship it as it was, and Kavin told him over and over again that the people who pick up the packages won't accept it becasue it wasn't in a shipping box/envelope, and it's UPS' policy that they need to be in one in order to be shipped. This a**hole customer was calling Kavin rude and that he didn't know what he's doing. He kept asking to speak to the owner, ever though Kavin told him this is UPS' policy and what the owner of the store has told him on how to ship items. The nerve of this customer really pissed me off acting like he's above the store's policy and being a complete jerk to the worker. Seriously, where does he get off thinking it's okay to speak to someone that way when he was clearly in the wrong? My sister ended up calling the store about 20 minutes later to see if everything worked out okay. She gave Kavin her name and phone number in case his owner needed it. You never know when a jerk-off customer will try to complain and try to make trouble even though they were the one in the wrong. Again, I go in that store at least once every few weeks, and I've never had an issue. I'm usually in and out. Please know the store's shipping policy before you go in there so you're not caught off guard. Overall, I will continue using their UPS location for my shipping needs. Small place, but they get things done for you quickly and efficiently so you'll be out the door in no time. They do it all, shipping, pictures for passports, packaging... On the right wall they have tools that you can use and purchase (from markers and pens to rulers.) However it's a bit pricy, so I just make a visit to Office Depot to buy a small box (around $3-8) and some cushion packagings (around $3.00) which is cheaper than having them package it for you. read more

I went to this store on November 15 to pick up the package that was sent there by the lazy UPS driver who didn't even bother to ring my door, but instead write a few messages on the paper and then stick it on the front door of the apartment. In the store the employee who was just standing there didn't even bother to say hi. I said; "good morning. I want to pick up this package." He scanned the paper and without even looking at me he said; "it's in the truck." If the driver would've written that the package will be available after certain time then I could've waited. I would've avoided meeting that unpleasant employee. I felt like an inconvenient to him. Don't get me wrong I have been to this store before and never had that kind of treatment. A simple "I'm sorry please comeback tomorrow." Or "sorry for the inconvenient" would have been a nice consolation. I work the 3rd shift and it is very difficult for me to find time during the day. Very rude and unprofessional. The male clerk is very short and cold. It appears that he does not want to help his customer. No eye contact when facing you and for the most part talking on his back , "No I cannot do that", "No I cannot track your package." VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! I came to get a notary and arrived at 5:57 PM. Sasha(definitely not right but similar) had told me that I arrived too late because notaries end at 6 PM. When I checked my watch I still had a couple minutes. She then advised that the only person that can help had left at 4:30. What about all the people that took the time out of their schedule to run errands from 4:30-6? There's really no point of advertising those hours if you are not planning to follow it. I ran in the heat to make sure I made it before closing. I posted a photo as I was walking out. You can see which employee helped me. Horrible experience at the UPS Store. The package that they were holding for pickup was missing its contents. The box looked like it had been opened. When I got home and opened the box, two of my face creams were missing. I filed a claim with UPS but it has been a nightmare and a waist of time trying to get a refund that has yet to come. In addition, customer service at this location is extremely poor and borderline rude. I called to have my package held for one more day before it was returned to the shipper but they refused. When I finally picked up the package at the last minute and took it home I discovered the most expensive items were missing. From now on I won't use this UPS Store. If I could give them a negative rating I would! I am sitting here in tears from frustration. I had to overnight my car keys to my boyfriend so he could use the car to drive up from SD to the Bay for a 10am delivery, it cost $110. A simple task, you'd think? Nope. They keys didn't show up. My boyfriend and I are on a farm with no house. So he waited outside all day in the rain for the truck to come so he could sign for the package. We kept calling and calling asking about updates and finally were told they'd be there by 8pm. Nothing at 8pm and we are both pissed. We call (we had to force someone to transfer us to their shipping center) and they say they were lost, maybe put on the wrong truck-why couldn't they have found out earlier in the day it didn't make it onto the right truck?? My boyfriend had to find a car last minute, drive all night with 4 dogs + guys in a small car-they slept in a truck stop, in the car! Then began the "investigation" to find them, which could last up to ten days. We kept calling for updates and they say they could call when they had either found them or when the investigation had closed. So we waited a few more days before calling again and they said "oh, it's been closed, we couldn't find them"-they didn't call us saying it had been closed or that it was still lost, we had to. So then we have to start the claims process as getting my car keys back will require a car tow to the dealership, two keys to be cut, made, programmed + labor, and a new battery since it died sitting their for 3 weeks ($911). People say they can't help us and keep transferring us for days, saying we will get called back but no one does. Many people said they'd pay for it and I finally reached a nice lady in the investigations department, Katherine, who said she could help me. She gave me her email and I set in my first invoice, saying more would be coming next week (this week). I call today to send in more invoices, but suddenly no one can transfer me to that department like the number/extension magically disappeared from their phonebooks. LIKE MAGIC. The one person who was willing to help me, I can't reach. So I'm transferred to the billing department where I tell her the whole story again and they say the same thing "the claim has been processed and will be in the mail" but that claim is just for the shipping! I tell them that I have invoices to submit, that I want to talk to Katherine, no one can get me to that one person. I ask if Katherine had inputted the original invoice I sent....she hadn't.....no one will help you. Then I get on with a supervisor who really pisses me off! Saying I need to contact the store I sent it from--they can't do anything! They've done their part, submitted all their information! It's on the company now, don't try and send me back to the store where they won't be able to help because trust me, I had to call the store multiple times! Oh by the way, at the store I shipped it from they told me: yeah I have no idea what they're doing over there (referring to the company) because I am just as lost as you are" Wow Great job! Any-who..this supervisor was caddy and saying "I'm not trying to upset you, but we won't cover for any of those damages you've mentioned. It's in the fine print when you ship. We won't cover it". Wtf again! I say I have spoken to many people who said the company would cover it and she asks for the names and their phone numbers and I say"nobody gives you a f******* call back number because you guys don't want to help us! No one gives me any helpful information, but I was told it would be covered!" She keeps going, I'm not trying to upset you, blah blah blah and I'm like, "how are you trying to not upset me right now? You are telling me you wont pay for the $911 I have had to pay?! I basically went off about what a horrible company it was and that I needed to talk to her boss, whoever was above her because I didn't trust a single word that came out of her mouth. She said I would be called back within two days and I insisted to be called back within the hour since I don't trust any of the employees. I called for an update on my claim for shipping and they're only sending a check for $59 (should be $100+) because "they're not going to refund you for the shipping but what they feel that item was valued at". The manager here said I would be paid in full many times! How would they know what the value is? I paid $425 for the replacement of the keys alone and was told consistently I would be repaid for the shipping. Bad bad awful company, no one can or will help you or keep their word! You spend hours of your day going in circles, being transferred to 6 different people explaining your story over again! Now I have to pay the $911 out of pocket for this stupid f-ing S***. UPS does not value their customers. I will never trust them again EVER. I have never ever had to speak to a company like this. I am appalled at their lack of integrity and morals. read more

Holy moly. I literally just received the worst service I have ever received in my entire life at this ups store. I walked in with four packages, one of which I didn't end up sending back. The girl working was clearly Overwhelmed and kept helping multiple customers at a time. She gave me two receipts and when I asked for the third she said I only had two packages. I then said no, I had four and I am sending three. She continued to argue with me about how she didn't know what to tell me because I only had two. She then proceeded to tell me that the couple she helped while I was there may have taken it and I could go out and look for them. WTF? For the past two months I've been using this location to drop off packages for small business I do. Didn't have any issues before. I always come in with 2 day shipping prepaid. This time I needed to buy boxes. Paid for the boxes but after I leave I notice a charge for 8 dollars. I come back and I ask the manager, Kavin, what this charge was for. He told me it was for the service he provided. I don't understand what service he provided other than charging me for the boxes. He tries to explain to me they charge for service but still fails to tell me what service he provided. He gave me the boxes, I made the boxes and boxed the items up myself. So it sounds like I did his job and he charged me for it. He refuses to give me a refund or my packages back, and still fails to tell me what service he charged me for. Every time I come to any UPS with prepaid labels, I'm not charged for anything. The boxes I understand, but the service charge? Still no explanation. You just lost a regular customer. read more

This place is kind of hidden from the public. I was walking down Broadway one day, and a stranger asked me where the UPS store was... and it was just a couple feet over. The workers here are super helpful and friendly. The Indian man who works here is extremely nice. The store is kinda dark inside, so it's hard to notice that it's even there. I use this location very often. Make sure you ask for a receipt when you drop packages. I dropped a package in August and the guy told me you are all set without giving me a receipt. My name is Jose Luna, I am a worker/manager at The UPS store and I wanted to apologize for the statements Frannie R. is implying. I wanted to thank her for the time and work she provided to us, but the reason of her dismissal came as a result of her attitude towards both the employees and customers. We received various complaints from customers about her negative attitude and we as coworkers viewed her attitude first hand. We were always friendly and welcoming of her but she would not allow us to help her in any way, as soon as we got near her she would tell my coworkers and I to leave her alone, when all we wanted to do was help. As my unfriendliness goes, I do not really understand it because I have received positive reviews from both customers and employees. The encounter I had with the lady on Saturday was a result of both her racism and rudeness towards my employee (Jasmine) and me. Ms.Francine was not here to witness any of it until the end of said argument, in which the other woman accepted her wrongdoings. I have been working at the store for 2 years with the new ownership and I have not had any significant issues with them. I called the day before to make sure the notary would be.there at 9:30 AM and when my wife arrived, the store was closed. Later on she rushed back after a nearby appointment and the shop was open. She politely asked to borrow a pen to sign the document (one might expect a UPS Store to have a pen available?) and the clerk said '... say please ...'. I don't know why they hire a mental retarded guy to work there. I showed him an envelope that has a sender name and my name as recipient. I repeated so many times that I wanted to send to the sender on that envelop. He kept saying then you are sending yourself. What a dumb! While he is entering I had to take a call! Then he said" you are so rude! I can't do this!' So you probably know what I said to him! What the heck! FedEx is just next door! Do you know that! I actually saved $7 using Fedex next day service. I had a package arrive to the office itself (I was told by UPS that it was ok and paid extra to send it there), yet when i arrive, i was told the office sent it back to the shipper because they do not send to the office. I called corporate (the exact number the associate gave to me), and they said they do send to the office but the associates at the store did not do anything and were very rude the entire time. Rude associates, bad service, and sent my package back (without even calling me) to the shipper. No idea that was happening either. Even if the Millbrae office is right next to you, I recommend going a little further to a separate office so you dont have lost packages, rude associates, and no call for them to send it wherever they want. I walked in to drop off a prepaid package. The guy behind the counter never even approached me. Just said leave it there. When I asked if I could get a receipt, he came to me and said, "next time say that first so I can stop doing other things and get you out faster." I bit my tongue knowing that this is my local most convenient place to drop off my UPS packages, so didn't want to get awkward. How about asking if I wanted a receipt?! I don't walk into businesses wanting to be reprimanded for asking employees to do their job. The woman notary is so rude. First, she was so unprofessional and aloof with the couple ahead of me. She was so bad that I wanted to get behind the counter and help them myself. Then she brushed me off and told me she didn't do my type of notarizing after 3pm when I called prior and was told they were opened until 4 for notarizing. The worst customer service!! Go to any other UPS store. In the past, they would offer to give you a clear envelope to attach a mailing label to a package. I went in today and waited in line for a piece of tape or a clear envelope to attach my label for my Amazon return and they wouldn't give it to me. They said I would have to purchase a whole roll of tape just to stick my label. This was new to me. Couldn't they just give me a warning for next time? I told them I'll take my business elsewhere. My first time at the Millbrae UPS. I normally go to San Bruno which is helpful and pleasant. The Millbrae employees are not helpful at all. They wouldn't take my package with the mobile scan on my phone. I was told I needed to print it out. Couldn't they help me print it for and charge me? Also, I only discovered after I left they had a printer for customers to use for a fee but they didn't direct me there. That would've solved my issue. Also, I had a promotional code to use but they acted like they had never heard of that before. I took my package to San Bruno UPS and happily printed my label with my 40% discount. She literally ignores everyone who is just here to drop off because she doesn't make any money from us. Only cares about the ones that are here to spend money.
