Every time I walk in, I feel like they truly care and want to make things easy. They consistently go above and beyond, whether it's shipping, printing, or helping sort out all the little details. They're patient, thoughtful, and always make sure everything is handled right. And I especially have to thank them for their patience with my endless Amazon returns, lol!! The interaction also felt uncomfortable for me, which made the experience more stressful than expected. I want to start by saying the people who work here are genuinely kind, helpful, and patient. I've never had anyone be rude or abrupt, and I really appreciate that--it makes a difference. That said, there's a recurring issue that keeps happening and seems more like a system problem than an individual one. Multiple times, I've had Amazon packages marked as delivered, but I'm not given a pickup slip for all of them. In fact, I've had to come in and tell staff on at least three separate occasions in the past month that I have another package there--because I can see it was delivered through Amazon tracking. Each time, they find it, which means the package was sitting there without any notification, sometimes for days. This suggests that not all packages are being logged properly or that slips aren't consistently being created. It creates unnecessary confusion and extra trips, and it makes it hard to trust that I'll be notified when something arrives. I've also noticed that when there's a long line, the workflow doesn't always prioritize customers. There have been times with 5 people waiting and two employees present, but only one is helping customers while the other is occupied with something like the photocopier or other non-urgent tasks. When there's a line, it would really help if both staff members focused on clearing it first. Again, the staff themselves are consistently pleasant and professional--this feels like a process and prioritization issue rather than a people problem. I hope management takes a closer look at how package notifications are handled and how staff are allocated during busy times. read more

I sent a pkg priority mail on 2/10 destin. Oregon, the employee stated that the pkg is estimated to take 2-3 days....today is day 4, pkg is still in Oakland. Now the pkg will miss the deadline and Maybe arrive Monday or Tuesday. Employee offered for owner of UPS to call me yesterday.... He failed! I called today, owner answered, he was aware of the issue and why he didn't call me yesterday indicates he couldn't care less. Ultimately, this owner (lahesh,name?) is horrific, unprofessional, rude, and could cares less about the customer & services this UPS store offers. Most telling part of this crappy service is, not one time did he offer an apology. I Caution all who choose to use this store and highly recommend avoiding this store. I hardly do returns but this time I had a return from Amazon and had my box with me. I did have printer issues so I figured in the past long ago I could email the return label to print and they would print it and it wasn't anything crazy like .50-$1. The worker never mentioned anything with cost and I took it as maybe a service fee it was really busy so I didn't want to be to bothersome. When I get back home they now charge 2.99$ email fee and .24 cents for copies of the label (this I'm fine with), but really charging me $2.99 to open my email and click print that's absolutely ridiculous for company ups to do. I don't think it's the workers fault but now I know I'll do what ever it takes to never do this again. read more

I have been to this UPS store many times. For shipping, live scan fingerprints, flyer printing, scanning, you name it. It is hands down the best! The two people who are usually there (a man and woman, I think they are the owners) are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There is hardly ever a line because they are so efficient. One time I was in line at another UPS store with 6 people in front of me on a Saturday and I had already waited 20 mins. I realized I should have gone to this UPS store on Alhambra. So I got in my car drove 6 mins away and there was one person in line when I arrived. I was in and out of there within a minute. If you need anything done this is the place to go! read more

I've always found the customer service at this particular UPS to be very good, but a recent experience has me frustrated. I knew it would be more expensive to ship a particular item with UPS, but decided to use them given their quality of service and expediency. A week after I dropped the package off, I checked the tracking code only to be told that they were waiting to receive the package. That made no sense, so I called the store. The person helping me looked it up and agreed that it didn't sound right but started to iterate problems at the distribution center. She said she would follow up with it on Monday and get back to me. I didn't hear back so I went in. Apparently, the box sat at the distribution center for several days. Again, I was told all the problems they have with the distribution center which didn't make me feel any better. I was then reminded that they let me know that they don't guarantee shipping dates on packages going "ground." I don't recall hearing that, but would have assumed that that didn't mean as much as they five day plus delay at being shipped out. So money not well spent. read more

I only write reviews if my experience was extremely terrible or above and beyond and this review is for the latter. Dinesh was AMAZING!! My father passed away and we needed 50 programs for his service. Originally we had called Staples and they said they wouldn't be able to do the programs as we wanted. This was important to me because the programs my sister had designed were his favorite color (blue) and it had a gold trim which made it look classy. I called UPS on the Thursday before the service (Tuesday) asking if they were able to do it. Dinesh was the one that primarily helped me, but Amanda helped too and both were amazing! Dinesh had me send over the file and said I could come in to the store to look at some samples. He was extremely patient with me (I was a mess for obvious reasons) and he walked me through the process, printed out some samples, and gave me quotes on how much the total would be. He said that if I gave the "ok", that they would be able to get the programs done by Saturday morning (and I was scheduled to fly out Saturday afternoon). Well, I gave the "ok" and they delivered! Come Saturday morning, the programs were ready and looked AMAZING! They even trimmed the programs so that it wasn't showing the white border (this is what Staples said they were NOT able to do). Extremely Rude and not Helpful. Go to another UPS store or Express Carrier. I Took a laptop in to be shipped and needed help with packing, clerk was rude. Paid $10 to have it packed but said I want to watch it being sealed up as it was valuable. Once I paid for packing she said she couldn't do it then and would do it later. All along there were only two others who were together being helped by the manager. I restated that I wanted to see it sealed and she was rude again, stating that they were professional packers. Which had nothing to do with why I wanted to see it sealed. The Manager/owner was watching and instead coming over and being helpful was more rude. I Left with the refund and my package. Will not go back, and would not recommend to anyone. Would expect more from a local business who services the local neighborhood, business and community. Extremely disappointing. read more

I went to this UPS to get something notarized after months of being told by my closer UPS their notary would be in later in the week and than having them "call out sick". When we called the Virginia Hills UPS their employee was super pleasant on the phone and told us we can come in any time for notary. The store manager is the rudest of the bunch. We went last weekend to drop off some shredding and since my husband is a driver for UPS he gets a discount on services, including shredding. He asked the girl ringing us up for his UPS discount and she didn't know how to do it. Fine, no problem, she asked the store manager what to do. The manager, Pryanka, spun around and rudely snapped "you still have to pay!" We said we were aware we still had to pay, but that he should get his discount, and he had his work ID to prove he was a UPS employee. She grudgingly did it and stalked off. How rude of her to jump in and and just assume we were trying to get the service completely free, when that's not at all what we were asking for. They hadn't been open for more than a half hour at that point so I can't imagine another customer ruined her day before we got there, but in any case, the attitude and service we received was awful. We will go to the store on Arnold or elsewhere if needed. I will do anything to avoid this location at all costs because of the manager. The young lady that rang us up was nice enough, but she wasn't wearing a name tag so i can't give her a specific shout out here. Although I'm sure her cheerful demeanor will disappear the longer she works under that awful manager setting a horrible example of customer service for her. read more

The gentleman (40's) and younger girl were working. They greeted every customer and were so friendly. I feel terrible for them; it was SOOO HOT inside. Around 85 and so stuffy. Aside from that like I said, associates were so friendly and worked very hard to move the line as quickly as they could.
