I seem to be going to a lot of different post offices these days. Today I went into this post office and had a really good experience. I had two packages I needed to send, one domestic and one international. The lady that helped me was very kind and made sure she was doing everything right. I think this might have been her first time sending a package to Central America, because she seemed shocked at the price, I had to giggle. But anyway yes, I recommend this post office. read more

The lady at this Post office (2043 East St. Concord) was very rude, and this is not the first time. This time it really hurt me. The IRS sent a letter to my home address. However, the letter was addressed to someone's name. I carefully opened the letter and read the letter because it was addressed to my home address. After that I sealed the letter carefully with intact. Obviously, that was not my mail. The letter was about filling out a form to apply for health insurance. It had to be done by January 15, 2025. I know it was time sensitive. I know it is the correct address for me, but the name is wrong, and it is the correct name for the recipient, but the address is not right. Today, I made calls to the IRS, HOA management, and even online IRS chat to try to find the correct address for that person (probably the wrong unit number since our apartment building has 52 units). After I spoke to the post office lady for a few words, she didn't let me finish and said I knew what to do. She said, "give it to me, you need to go", "stop talking", "no more any words", "you need to go", "you're still here? go!". I wanted her to know that at least one factor has been resolved because this address was my address and the only unresolved factor for the IRS was finding the correct address or correct unit number for this recipient. That would narrow the scope of the investigation. However, she didn't let me finish and was verbally abusive to me. Why should I be treated like this when I was walking to the post office on a rainy day? [This post office has no parking lot (only for street parking)]. What I was doing does not have any benefits for myself, and I just helped other USPS mail recipients. Every time I went to this post office, I told myself not to run into her... Every time I could tolerate it because it was just buying/delivering things and leaving. I am an easy-going person and never quarrel with anyone. But this time I really felt that I was hurt a lot. At least you let me finish my words, which can help the IRS narrow the scope of the correction and save the IRS time. In the end, I didn't continue to talk and left. I use this post office very often, as my job is around the corner. This has been the first time I have had such a negative experience, thanks to Gee (not sure if I am spelling it correctly, but she is an Asian woman). I came to get information as to different ways I can send out W2's for my employer. Immediately I was met with an attitude, as I did have a lot of mail, and the line was extremely long, so I am assuming she was a bit annoyed at the moment. As I was asking different ways to send my mail, we had multiple miscommunications, honestly on both ends. GEE became very irate, and physically bothered. I asked if I could speak with a manager, because the way she is speaking to me is not okay. GEE told me there was no manager, and I can only speak to her colleague at the desk with her who was processing another customer. She again, began yelling loudly at me, which I called over an employee who was working in the back area, Henry (he is AWESOME, btw). While Henry tried to deescalate the situation, GEE was still very irate, yelling, and screaming. Henry had to tell GEE multiple times to please let him speak with me, and to get away from the front counter. Henry was able to explain my options, and also let me know that it would be best if I go to the actual Hub to process these W2s since they have more workers. Henry is AWESOME! He handled the situation the best he could, and even was able to give me knowledge on different services. I understand COVID, and people are on edge, but GEE does not need to be working in customer service. I am afraid to continue to go to this location in fear of GEE noticing me, and becoming as irate as she was this day. I would like somebody to contact me in regards to this situation. read more

Cute little Post Office. It's not the usual one I go to but I came here last week do drop off some Poshmark sales after I got off work. Unfortunately they don't have a blue bin that you can drop off pre-paid packages, which I prefer so when I dash out I'm not scared someone is going to snatch my packages from the counter. The lady working there was nice though and she had a friendly face and told me that I can leave my packages on the countertop with her. The parking lot is small but thankfully there weren't many people at the Post Office so I didn't have trouble finding a spot enough though it was after work hours. read more

Since the closer Post Office to my office doesn't take credit cards anymore, I drove out of my way to try this one. Usually this one isn't that busy. I think I had been here two times before. Today must have been a full moon and everyone wanted to mail something or just wanted to stand in line and ask stupid questions. While standing in line a woman a head of me yelled out,"Can you call someone else to come help up front!" Then the guy yells back,"I am not in charge of what other people do! If they want to come up here that's their choice!" No wonder people don't want to use regular mail anymore with that type of attitude. No. Just No. I have never had an experience where the employee was just outright blatantly rude, and not only to me but in plain view and within earshot of her own boss. I can't believe how disrespectful she was and with such attitude and apathy. She didn't care one bit just how rude she was being. It was appalling, not too mention her boss looked directly at her, and she merely said "yep, you heard me all you do is stand there and boss people around, you don't know" When it was my turn to "be helped", she asked for the letter and put her hands out. I had to put the letter with the certified certificate on the counter, which was a very short distance away from her. In her rudeness she said,"no, my hands are here, i'm not going to reach for your letter on the counter, you can put it in my hands." Wow, just wow. When asked if she was ok? Her response "yes, but she was not going to reach or over extend herself, there were too many people who were hurt or who get hurt that way, and she was not getting paid enough to get hurt or over extend herself" Again, wow! Just wow. Before leaving, I asked if that was her boss, I wanted to gain a full understanding of what had happened. Her yes nod solidified it, I suggested she quit, and she just snickered and said "no". I can't believe how much she disrespected her boss and customers. If I could give this review no stars, I would for this one postal employee's rude behavior. I needed to drop off a box (with a prepaid return label) and decided to buy some stamps while I was there. I had no problem getting a parking spot (this was around 10 am on a weekday) and there were only a couple other people there for mail-related business. The post office is tiny but seems to cover the basics. I dropped off the package and the clerk provided me with the instructions for how to track its journey. As I stood in line, the clerks at the office did something I consider next to magical. On the left, the man spoke to an older Chinese lady in Mandarin. On the right, the clerk spoke to a young man in Spanish. When I approached the bench, I was addressed in perfect English. This might seem unremarkable to you. But to me, it was a distinctly human and beautiful moment. The people in front of me were both sending things to their respective "home" nations, he to Mexico and she to China. I don't know why I keep coming back to this post office. It's the closest one to my house but every time I get worse and worse service. I don't know what is up with the post people there. They either need a drink or a new job. They are always in the worst moods. Especially the short and small white guy with glasses. He's always the rudest to me. Today, he was completely unhelpful. I was with my toddler and yes he was getting a bit fussy. I didn't understand why both priority boxes were different in prices. He explained in the shortest and rudest way and I was getting flustered and upset. When I tried to clarify TWICE he just kept ignoring me. I'd given this Post Office a zero star had it not been for Geronimo. I came to this location last week and I inquired about the boxes I have to use for mailing something to my friend in Hawaii. I also inquired about mailing some documents to the Philippines. It's been a long time since I mailed something internationally. That's why I stopped by to inquire as to how to go about it. To make sure that I use the right envelope or box, postage, and how long it would take, etc. I was told I could use the medium priority flat rate box and it would depend on how much I'd be willing to pay to determine the length of time the package will get there. And I was also told if I wanted overnight, I should use FedEx because they don't have an overnight service. Fast forward to this week. I packed the documents carefully, about 50 sheets into this flat rate box from the Post Office. The one that the woman that worked there told me to use last week. The box was too big. It was long too. So I packed it with crumpled newspapers all over the side. I wrote the addresses neatly on the outside of the box, sealed the box then went to the Post Office. When I got there around 115pm, there was a line and only Geronimo was at the counter. When it was my time, he asked where my custom form was and I said I didn't know about it. I told him that I came by last week to inquire and they didn't tell it to me then. They could've given me the form so I could fill it out in advance. He also said that it'd be cheaper if I use the brown envelope they have at the corner and that I don't have to buy it from them if I don't want to. He gave me all the different options in how to mail my package. I couldn't do the unpacking at that moment as I have to pick up my son from school. I had to come back again and unpack the docs that I carefully packaged. I also had to leave my son at his activity to do this errand before they close or the lines get too long. What a waste! It would been avoided if the female employee took a bit of time to give me the correct information. Is this how a business should be run? Maybe privatization and competition is the answer. I'm no expert but this place has too many negatives for me. If you just want to buy stamps and send ordinary mail, you'll be okay. But if it's a little complicated there's a possibility that your needs might not be served. I once did the address change and the employee stole all the coupons. Really? I got home thinking what a low lifer he was. Geronimo is about the only person I trust at this place. He's not perfect and sometimes I don't get his humor but overall he's a very nice and honest guy who really wants to help everyone. A middle of the road rating because of him. read more

It's just ok overall, but the one big problem......Geronimo! He could not move any slower unless he was dead! I have stood in line on WAY too many occasions for way too long because he just takes his time, no rush, no urgency. He seems to think he's very funny & clever..........but he's not. Just yesterday, 10 minutes in line while the lady in front of me was being "helped" by Geronimo to mail 2 letters.2 letters, that was it, just getting stamps for them & he just babbled on & on & on & on! My favorite time with him"helping" me was when I asked for a flat rate box. He couldn't simply get one for me. He had to go in back, stop & chat with the people in back, get a bunch of them, come out & fill the rack where they go & stop & chit chat with people in line & then returns to the counter & I had to go get the box myself. I made a really bad mistake and realized I didn't have all the papers in the envelope after I had dropped it in to the big blue container outside the post office, I drove back to the Post Office and was totally ready to get an attitude but everyone there was very nice, they opened up the container, I found the package and was able to fix the problem and my package went out today with no problems, they could totally tell I was really worried because the documents were being mailed to the State Department. This is the best Post Office!!! When I was in line lots of people were grumpy and already prepared for an attitude, they were so impatient I was a little worried about how much time my issue would take, but there was not problem, I did have to wait a few minute but I made the mistake in the first place, I would just remind those people who are so impatient that they might have a weird problem they need help with some day and they should really work on not anticipate a problem or an attitude. read more
