I just needed to process getting some things sent back that would provide me a tracking number in order to validate a return on a product that I purchase for a refund. Walked in here. There were three customers ahead of me once I got up to the counter, the guy politely assisted me with my return process. This used to be the absolute worst UPS store on the planet! The previous owner was just awful to deal with and created a very toxic environment from a customer standpoint. It's unfortunate that the current owners and staff have to be burdened with the negativity of the previous regime. I recently had to use this location for my packages and walking through their doors was a breath of fresh air! The staff immediately greeted me and were eager to assist me with my shipping needs. They were polite, friendly, knowledgeable and highly professional and made me feel like an important part of their business (which I am). I really needed help with getting my package out today but my printer ran out of ink and I couldn't print out the label. I walked into this store and was greeted by the manager. He was very nice and responsive to my needs. He instructed me on where to email him the label. Once it was printed, I was able to mert my deadline on my package going out in time! I had to run in here a couple weeks ago to get something notarized. I've already been back in the store a few times since it was sold to a new owner and I've been happy about that ever since. All the past reviews that brought the overall rating down on this business were because of an old issue that no longer exists. This was mid morning during a weekday and there were several employees staff in the store. The line went quick, I was greeted with a smile, and quickly tended to for my notary needs. One of the young men met me at a side table and quickly did my notary procedure, while having a professional attitude the entire time. Years ago, the younger employees at this place were disgruntled and, in my opinion, abused. These employees seem to actually enjoy their job, and respond well to the request of their boss. So again, I disregard the extremely low ratings from the store due to it being brought down from so so long ago. Good job on bringing this location back up! read more

I manage a program at UOP that required 17 students to get background checked. While on a short turnaround, they had trouble getting appointments to meet the deadline. I called UPS Wednesday morning, and Angie told us they could accommodate all of them that afternoon, as long as they each had an appointment in the system. When I followed up for a visit mid afternoon, Angie was still there, and was able to give us an update on the group. Most had visited already and she was patient and kind with each of them. I'm so grateful that she was so accommodating! It's a little farther from the campus, and worth the drive! read more

I have literally been yelled at by who I think is the owner when dropping off pre-paid packages. I've seen him acting this same way toward other customers no matter what they are doing. Save yourself some trouble and just take your business to the Stockton store on March Lane as Lodi unfortunately doesn't have another location and this guy seems to take advantage of that. Thankfully Kohl's now accepts Amazon returns so at least there's another option for that. read more

Details: I had 2 amazon returns, one with a UPS pre printed label and the without. The young man at the register let me know that the item with the pre printed label needs to be boxed. The one with out a label did not need a box. I said ok and he preceded to tell me it would be $5 and some change. I let him know that i would not pay $5 for a box and i would package item myself. I asked why one needed a box and the other didn't. He stated i needed to ask amazon. Fair enough but the young lady standing about 8 feet behind him mumbles "maybe you should of been home when the driver showed up to pick up the package". I made eye contact with her and just smiled, shook my head, grabbed my item and walked out. Sorry to be the first to let you know about a bad experience in your store. To owner #2: Thanks for your insight on what happened during my visit. You're correct in that the gentleman at the register did give me accurate information about the pre labeled items. That wasn't the issue. The young lady behind him was the issue. Your "two conversations" excuse is absolutely nonsense! her comment did have something to do with the situation. The ups guy brought the tag to my house and left it at my door so it did have something to do with it.... Please hire more people, ones who would appreciate a job! The kids working have no customer service skills. Three young workers behind the counter when I walk in no one acknowledges me, one boy scanning in packages for a mom with her two kids trying to get her package on the counter (no one offers to help, except me). And older couple waiting on a notary, was told by one of the kids I was suppose to be off 15 minutes ago but I can't leave these guys. Not sure why cause nobody else was doing anything. Tips to owner: Hire a good manager! Train those employee's to greet everyone as they walk in, and never tell customers your business. Clean up the place! Stack those packages in the corner, customers are seriously afraid you are going to loose there packages! Have a happy environment, people don't mind waiting as long if they don't feel uncomfortable. Notice no stars.... no masks worn or asking customers to do so. Not impressed in the least bit with this establishment. All employees as well as a crowded lobby with a huge line and there were only 3 people abiding by the mask rule with me included. Unprofessional. Even the 2 UPS men weren't wearing masks who were picking up packages and taking them to their trucks. I then get a reply from the manager and he has the wrong gal as I would never disrespect caution tape for tar mac or most importantly not wear a mask yet post a complaint. I've been to this UPS store a number of times and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Today I needed to laminate a 3 X 5 card. It cost $6.49. That's just crazy!! I couldn't believe it! I'm from the expensive Bay Area, and I can laminate a full 8 X 11 page for a fraction of the cost of what I paid today!! This place is a total rip off. That should be criminal. PLEASE READ BEFORE SHIPPING WITH UPS: On Friday, 2/23, my sister had 2 boxes of Hummels sent to me from Lodi to Seattle, WA costing @$80. UPS was cautioned SEVERAL TIMES that the contents were FRAGILE German Figurines valued at $500. She has run a mercantile for over 15 years, shipped items all over the US, and never had a problem with anything getting broken, so she DEFINTELY knows how to protect breakables. The Hummel Spice Containers arrived on 2/26, and while unpacking them, I found that the lower corner of the box had been torn & collapsed. To my horror, both spice containers in that corner of the shipping box were shattered, even though they were in their own box packed into a heavy Home Depot moving box! That box had to have been dropped on that specific corner to do this damage. NONE of the other 11 boxes containing 2 each were affected. Because I DID NOT take pictures at EVERY stage of unpacking, UPS has REFUSED to cover the @$35 to replace the two spice containers, buying them on eBay!!! Therefore, CAREFULLY INSPECT boxes before unpacking, take lots of pictures, and CUSTOMERS, BEWARE WHEN SHIPPING UPS!!! read more
